1 ১ আমি ত্রিশ বছরের ছিলাম তখন চতুর্থ মাসের পঞ্চম দিনে, যখন আমি কবার নদীর ধারে বন্দিদের মধ্যে বাস করছিলাম, তখন স্বর্গ খুলে গেল, আর আমি ঈশ্বরের দর্শন পেলাম।
And it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was in the midst of the exiles by the river Kebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw divine visions.
On the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of the exile of king Jehoyachin,
3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য শক্তিতে কলদীয়দের দেশে কবার নদীর ধারে বুষির ছেলে যিহিস্কেল যাজকের কাছে এল এবং সেখানে সদাপ্রভু তাঁর উপরে হাত রাখলেন।
Came the word of the Lord expressly unto Ezekiel the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Kebar; and there came upon him there the inspiration of the Lord.
4 ৪ তারপর আমি দেখলাম, সেখানে উত্তরদিক থেকে ঘূর্ণি বায়ু এল, একটা বড় মেঘ তার সঙ্গে আগুনের ঝলকানি ছিল এবং তার চারদিকে ও ভেতরে উজ্জ্বলতা ছিল মেঘের মধ্যে হলদেটে আগুন ছিল।
And I saw, and behold, a storm-wind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a flaming fire, and a brightness was on it round about; and out of the midst of it was like the glitter of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
And out of the midst thereof [I saw] the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man.
And every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings.
And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the glitter of burnished copper.
8 ৮ তবুও তাদের ডানার নিচে চার পাশে মানুষের হাত ছিল, তাদের চারজনের প্রত্যেকেরই, একই রকম মুখ ও ডানা ছিল
And hands of man [were visible] from beneath their wings on their four sides: and their faces and their wings [were alike] on all these four.
9 ৯ তাদের ডানা অন্য প্রাণীর সঙ্গে স্পর্শ ছিল, তাদের যাওয়ার দিন তারা ফিরে তাকাতো না; তারা সামনে সোজা চলে যেতো।
Their wings were joined one to the other: they turned not about in their going; they went every one in the direction of one of their faces.
10 ১০ তাদের মুখের আকার মানুষের মুখের মত ছিল; আর ডান দিকে চারটে সিংহের মুখ ছিল, আর বাদিকে চারটে গরুর মুখ ছিল, অবশেষে ঈগল পাখির মুখ ছিল।
And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and the face of a lion, on the right side for all four of them; and the face of an ox on the left side for all four of them; and the face of an eagle for all four of them.
11 ১১ তাদের মুখগুলো যেমন ছিল ও ডানাগুলো ওপর দিকে ছড়ানো, যাতে প্রত্যেকের এক জোড়া ডানা অন্য প্রাণীর ডানাকে স্পর্শ করে এবং ডানাগুলো তাদের শরীর ঢেকে রেখেছিল।
Thus were their faces: and their wings were spread out upward; every one had two joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12 ১২ তারা প্রত্যেকে সামনের দিকে সোজা যেত; যে দিকে যেতে আত্মা তাদের নির্দেশ দিতেন সেই দিকে পিছনে না ফিরে তারা যেত।
And they went every one in the direction of one of his faces: whither the spirit was directed to go, they went; they turned not about in their going.
13 ১৩ জীবন্ত প্রাণীগুলো দেখতে আগুনের জলন্ত কয়লার মত বা মশালের মত; সেই আগুন ঐ প্রাণীদের মধ্যে চলাফেরা করত ও সেই আগুন থেকে বিদ্যুৎ চমকাত।
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like coals of fire, burning as with the appearance of torches; this [fire] it was which passed along between the living creatures: and a brightness was about the fire, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
And the living creatures ran backward and forward like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
And I looked on the living creatures, and, behold, there was one wheel upon the earth close by the living creatures, by their four front faces.
16 ১৬ চাকাগুলোর রূপ এবং গঠনপ্রণালী ছিল এইরকম: প্রত্যেক চাকা পান্নার মত, চারটে একই রকম ছিল এবং তাদের দেখতে একটা চাকার সঙ্গে বিভক্ত অন্য চাকার মতো।
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like the color of a chrysolite; and all four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as though it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
Toward their four sides they went in their going: they turned not round in their going.
As for their circumferences, they were so high that they excited fear: and their felloes were full of eyes round about on all these four.
19 ১৯ যখনই জীবন্ত প্রাণীগুলো যেতো তাদের পাশে ঐ চাকাগুলোও যেতো; যখন জীবন্ত প্রাণীগুলো ভূমি থেকে উঠত, চাকাগুলো ও উঠত।
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went near to them: and when the living creatures lifted themselves up from the earth, the wheels lifted themselves up.
20 ২০ যে কোন জায়গায় আত্মা যেত, তারাও সেখানে যেত, যেখানে আত্মা যেতো, চাকাগুলোও তাদের পাশে উঠত, কারণ সেই জীবন্ত প্রাণীদের আত্মা ঐ চাকাগুলোর মধ্যে থাকতো।
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went; [for] thither was [their] spirit to go: and the wheels lifted themselves up at the same time with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 ২১ যখন প্রাণীরা চলত, তখন চাকাগুলোও চলত এবং যখন সেই প্রাণীরা দাঁড়িয়ে পড়ত, চাকাগুলোও দাঁড়িয়ে পড়ত; যখন প্রাণীরা ভূমি থেকে উঠত, চাকাগুলোও তাদের পাশে উঠত, কারণ সেই জীবন্ত প্রাণীদের আত্মা ঐ চাকার মধ্যে ছিল।
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those lifted themselves up from the earth, the wheels lifted themselves up at the same time with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 ২২ আর সেই প্রাণীর মস্তকের উপরে এক বিস্তারিত গম্বুজ ছিল, এটা ভয়ঙ্কর ফটিকের আভার মত তাদের মাথার ওপরে ছড়িয়ে ছিল।
And the likeness of a vault was over the head of the living creatures, [shining] like the glitter of the purest crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23 ২৩ সেই গম্বুজের নিচে, প্রত্যেক প্রাণীর ডানা সোজা ছড়িয়ে ছিল এবং অন্য প্রাণীর ডানার সঙ্গে লেগে ছিল। প্রত্যেক জীবন্ত প্রাণীর এক জোড়া ডানা তাদের ঢেকে রাখত, প্রত্যেকের এক জোড়া ডানা তাদের শরীর ঢেকে রাখত।
And under the vault their wings were straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered them, and every one had two, which covered them, —[namely, ] their bodies.
24 ২৪ তারপর আমি তাদের ডানার শব্দ শুনলাম, যেন খুব জোরে বয়ে যাওয়া জলের শব্দের মত, সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরের আওয়াজের মত। যখনই তারা যেত ঝড়বৃষ্টির মত শব্দ হত। এটা ছিল সৈন্যদের আওয়াজের মত। যখনই তারা দাঁড়িয়ে থাকত তারা তাদের ডানা নীচু করে রাখত।
And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went, the sound of [their] speech, as the noise of an army: when they stood still, they let down their wings.
25 ২৫ তাদের মাথার ওপরের গম্বুজ থেকে একটা আওয়াজ আসত যখনই তারা স্থির হয়ে দাঁড়াত এবং তাদের ডানা নীচু করত।
And there was a voice from the vault that was over their head: when they stood still, they let down their wings.
26 ২৬ তাদের মাথার ওপরে গম্বুজে একটা সিংহাসন ছিল যেটা দেখতে নীলকান্তমনির মত এবং সিংহাসনের ওপরে এক জনকে দেখা যেত যাকে একটা মানুষের মত দেখতে ছিল।
And above the vault that was over their head was like the appearance of a sapphire-stone, the likeness of a throne: and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27 ২৭ আমি একটা আকার দেখলাম তাঁর কোমরের উপর থেকে চকচকে ধাতুর মত আগুনের আভা দেখলাম; তার কোমর থেকে নিচের দিকে এটা আগুনের মত এবং উজ্জ্বলতা তার চারদিকে ছিল
And I saw as if it were the glitter of amber, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins upward; and from the appearance of his loins downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28 ২৮ এটা দেখতে ধনুকের মত যা বৃষ্টির দিনের মেঘের মধ্যে দেখা যায় যেন চারদিকে উজ্জ্বল আলো সদাপ্রভুর মহিমার মত সামনে এল। যখনই আমি তা দেখলাম আমি আমার মুখে অনুভব করলাম এবং এক জনের কথা বলার আওয়াজ শুনতে পেলাম।
Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about: this was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one that spoke.
