লুক 8
1 ১ এর পরেই তিনি ঘোষণা করতে করতে এবং ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের সুসমাচার প্রচার করার জন্য শহরে শহরে ও গ্রামে গ্রামে ভ্রমণ করলেন, আর তাঁর সঙ্গে সেই বারো জন,
And it came to pass afterward, that he went through every city and village, preaching, and making known the good news of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him;
2 ২ এবং যাঁরা মন্দ আত্মা ও রোগ থেকে মুক্ত হয়েছিলেন, এমন কয়েক জন স্ত্রীলোক ছিলেন, মগ্দলীনি যাকে মরিয়ম বলা হতো, যাঁর মধ্যে থেকে সাতটা ভূত বের করা হয়েছিল,
and also certain women that had been cured of evil spirits and diseases; Mary, called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven demons,
3 ৩ যোহানা, যিনি হেরোদের পরিচালক কুষের স্ত্রী এবং শোশন্না ও অন্য অনেক স্ত্রীলোক ছিলেন, তাঁরা নিজেদের সম্পত্তি দিয়ে তাঁদের সেবা করতেন।
and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him from their means.
4 ৪ আর যখন, অনেক লোক সমবেত হচ্ছিল এবং অন্য অন্য শহর থেকে লোকেরা তাঁর কাছে এলো, তখন তিনি একটা গল্পের মাধ্যমে তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বললেন,
And when a great multitude had assembled, and they were coming to him from every city, he spoke by a parable:
5 ৫ “একজন চাষী বীজ বপন করতে গেল। বপনের দিনের কিছু বীজ রাস্তার পাশে পড়ল, তাতে সেই বীজগুলো লোকেরা পায়ে মাড়িয়ে গেল ও আকাশের পাখিরা সেগুলো খেয়ে ফেলল।
The sower went forth to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and it was trodden down, and the birds of the air ate it up.
And some fell upon the rock; and when it had sprung up, it withered, because it had no moisture.
7 ৭ আর কিছু বীজ কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে পড়ল, তাতে কাঁটাও বীজের সঙ্গে বৃদ্ধি হতে থাকলো এবং সেগুলোকে চেপে ধরল।
And some fell in the midst of thorns; and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.
8 ৮ আর কিছু বীজ ভাল জমিতে পড়ল, তাতে সেগুলো অঙ্কুরিত হয়ে একশোগুন বেশি ফল উৎপন্ন করল।” এই কথা বলে তিনি চিত্কার করে বললেন, “যার শোনার কান আছে সে শুনুক।”
And other seed fell into good ground, and sprung up, and produced fruit a hundred-fold. When he had said these things, he cried: He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
And the disciples asked him, saying: What does this parable mean?
10 ১০ তিনি বললেন, “ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের সমস্ত গুপ্ত বিষয় জানার অধিকার তোমাদের দেওয়া হয়েছে; কিন্তু অন্য সবার কাছে গল্পের মাধ্যমে বলা হয়েছে; যেন তারা দেখেও না দেখে এবং শুনেও না বোঝে।”
He replied: To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that when they see, they may not see, and when they hear, they may not understand.
But the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the word of God;
12 ১২ যে বীজগুলো রাস্তার পাশে পড়েছিল তা এমন লোকেদের বোঝায়, যারা শুনেছিল, পরে দিয়াবল এসে তাদের হৃদয় থেকে সেই বাক্য চুরি করে নিয়ে যায়, যেন তারা বিশ্বাস করে পরিত্রান না পায়।
those by the wayside are they that hear; then comes the devil and takes the word from their heart, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 ১৩ আর যে বীজগুলি পাথরের ওপরে পড়েছিল তা এমন লোকদের বোঝায়, যারা শুনে আনন্দের সঙ্গে সেই বাক্য গ্রহণ করেছিল, কিন্তু তাদের মূল ছিল না, তারা অল্প দিনের জন্য বিশ্বাস করে, আর পরীক্ষার দিন তারা বিশ্বাস থেকে দূরে চলে যায়।
Those on the rock are they that, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who, for awhile, believe, and in time of temptation apostatize.
14 ১৪ আর যেগুলো কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে পড়ল, তারা এমন লোক, যারা শুনেছিল, কিন্তু চলতে চলতে জীবনের চিন্তা ও ধন ও সুখভোগে চাপা পড়ে যায় এবং ভাল ফল উৎপন্ন করে না।
That which fell among thorns are those who hear, and so conduct themselves, that they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 ১৫ আর যেগুলো ভাল জমিতে পড়ল, তারা এমন লোক, যারা সৎ ও ভালো হৃদয়ে বাক্য শুনে ধরে রাখে এবং ধৈর্য্য সহকারে ফল উৎপন্ন করে।
But that on the good ground are those who, in a good and honest heart, hear the word, and keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 ১৬ আর প্রদীপ জালিয়ে কেউ বাটি দিয়ে ঢাকে না, কিংবা খাটের নীচে রাখে না, কিন্তু বাতিদানের উপরেই রাখে, যেন যারা ভিতরে যায়, তারা আলো দেখতে পায়।
No one when he has lighted a lamp, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a divan, but sets it on a lamp-stand, that they who come in may see the light.
For there is nothing concealed, that shall not be made manifest, nor hid, that shall not be known and brought into view.
18 ১৮ অতএব তোমরা কীভাবে শোন সে বিষয়ে সাবধান হও; কারণ যার আছে, তাকে দেওয়া হবে, আর যার নেই, তার যা কিছু আছে সেগুলোও তার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নেওয়া হবে।
Take heed, therefore, how you hear; for whoever has, to him shall be given; and whoever has not, even that which he seems to have shall be taken from him.
And his mother and his brothers came to him, but were not able to get near him on account of the multitude.
20 ২০ পরে এক ব্যক্তি তাঁকে বলল, দেখুন আপনার মা ও ভাইয়েরা আপনার সাথে দেখা করার জন্য বাইরে দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন।
And it was told him by some that said: Thy mother and thy brothers stand without, desiring to see thee.
21 ২১ তিনি এর উত্তরে তাদের বললেন, “এই যে ব্যক্তিরা ঈশ্বরের বাক্য শোনে ও পালন করে, এরাই আমার মা ও ভাই।”
But he answered and said to them: My mother and my brothers are they that hear the word of God and do it.
22 ২২ এক দিন তিনি ও তাঁর শিষ্যরা একটি নৌকায় উঠলেন; আর তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, “চল আমরা হ্রদের অন্য পারে যাই” তাতে তাঁরা নৌকার পাল তুলে দিলেন।
And it came to pass, on a certain day, that he entered a ship with his disciples; and he said to them: Let us go over to the other side of the lake. And they set sail.
23 ২৩ কিন্তু তাঁরা যখন নৌকা করে যাচ্ছিলেন, তিনি ঘুমিয়ে পড়লেন, তখন হ্রদের ওপর ঝড় এসে পড়ল, তাতে নৌকা জলে পূর্ণ হতে লাগল ও তাঁরা বিপদে পড়লেন।
And while they were sailing, he fell asleep. And a storm of wind came down upon the lake, and they began to be filled, and were in danger.
24 ২৪ পরে তাঁরা কাছে গিয়ে তাঁকে জাগিয়ে বললেন, “প্রভু, প্রভু, আমরা মারা পড়লাম।” তখন তিনি ঘুম থেকে উঠে বাতাস ও ঢেউকে ধমক দিলেন, তাতে সব কিছু থেমে গেল, ও সবার শান্তি হল।
And they came to him, and awoke him, saying: Master, master, we perish. But he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 ২৫ পরে তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, “তোমাদের বিশ্বাস কোথায়?” তখন তাঁরা ভয় পেলেন ও খুবই আশ্চর্য্য হলেন, একজন অন্য জনকে বললেন, “ইনি তবে কে যে, বায়ুকে ও জলকে আজ্ঞা দেন, আর তারা তাঁর আদেশ মানে?”
And he said to them: Where is your faith? And being afraid, they wondered, and said one to another: Who, then, is this, that he commands even the wind and the water, and they obey him?
And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite to Galilee.
27 ২৭ আর তিনি ডাঙায় নামলে ঐ শহরের একটা ভূতগ্রস্ত লোক তাঁর সামনে উপস্থিত হল; সে অনেকদিন ধরে কাপড় পড়ত না ও বাড়িতে বসবাস করত না, কিন্তু কবরে থাকত।
And when he came out upon the land, there met him a certain man from the city, who had been possessed with demons for a long time, and who wore no clothes, and dwelt in no house, but in the tombs.
28 ২৮ যীশুকে দেখার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সে চিৎকার করে উঠল এবং তাঁর সামনে পড়ে চিত্কার করে বলল, “হে যীশু, মহান সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরের পুত্র, আপনার সঙ্গে আমার সম্পর্ক কি? আমি আপনাকে ঈশ্বরের দিব্যি দিয়ে বলছি, আমাকে যন্ত্রণা দেবেন না।”
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice: What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of God Most High? I beseech thee, torment me not.
29 ২৯ কারণ তিনি সেই ভূতকে লোকটীর মধ্যে থেকে বের হয়ে যেতে নির্দেশ করলেন; ঐ মন্দ আত্মা অনেকদিন তাকে ধরে রেখেছিল, আর শিকল ও বেড়ি দিয়ে তাকে বাঁধলেও সে সব কিছু ছিঁড়ে ভূতের বশে ফাঁকা জায়গায় চলে যেত।
For he had O; commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized upon him, and he had been bound with chains and fetters, and kept in confinement; and he broke the bonds, and was driven by the demon into the deserts.
30 ৩০ যীশু তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেনতোমার নাম কি? সে বলল, “বাহিনী,” কারণ অনেক ভূত তার মধ্যে প্রবেশ করেছিল।
And Jesus asked him, saying: What is your name? He answered, Legion; for many demons had entered into him.
And they be sought him, that he would not command them to go away into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 ৩২ সেই জায়গায় পাহাড়ের উপরে এক শূকরের পাল চরছিল; তাতে ভূতেরা তাঁকে অনুরোধ করল, যেন তিনি তাদের শূকরদের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করতে অনুমতি দেন, তিনি তাদের অনুমতি দিলেন।
And there was in that place a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain. And they besought him to permit them to go into them. And he permitted them.
33 ৩৩ তখন ভূতেরা সেই লোকটার মধ্যে দিয়ে বের হয়ে শূকরদের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করল, তাতে সেই পাল ঢালু পাহাড় দিয়ে জোরে দৌড়ে গিয়ে হ্রদে পড়ে ডুবে মরল।
And the demons came out of the man, and went into the swine; and the herd rushed down a steep place into the lake, and were drowned.
And when those who fed them saw what was done, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
35 ৩৫ তখন কি ঘটেছে, দেখার জন্য লোকেরা বের হল এবং যীশুর কাছে এসে দেখল, যে লোকটী মধ্যে থেকে ভূতেরা বের হয়েছে, সে কাপড় পরে ও ভদ্র হয়ে যীশুর পায়ের কাছে বসে আছে; তাতে তারা ভয় পেল।
And they came out to see what had been done; and they came to Jesus, and saw the man out of whom the demons had gone, clothed, and in his right mind, sitting at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
And those who had seen it, told them by what means the man who had been possessed with the demons, was saved.
37 ৩৭ তাতে গেরাসেনীদের প্রদেশের সমস্ত লোকেরা তাঁকে অনুরোধ করল, যেন তিনি তাদের কাছ থেকে চলে যান; কারণ তারা খুবই ভয় পেয়েছিল, তখন ফিরে যাওয়ার জন্য তিনি নৌকায় উঠলেন।
And the whole multitude of the neighboring country of the Gadarenes besought him to depart from them; for they were seized with great fear. And he entered the ship and returned.
And the man out of whom the demons had gone, besought him that he might be with him. But Jesus sent him away, saying:
39 ৩৯ কিন্তু তিনি তাকে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন এবং বললেন, “তুমি তোমার বাড়ি ফিরে যাও এবং তোমার জন্য ঈশ্বর যা যা মহৎ কাজ করেছেন, তার বৃত্তান্ত বল।” তাতে সে চলে গেল এবং যীশু তার জন্য যে সমস্ত মহৎ কাজ করেছেন, তা শহরের সব জায়গায় প্রচার করতে লাগল।
Return to your house, and tell what things God has done for you. And he went away, proclaiming through the whole city what Jesus had done for him.
And it came to pass, when Jesus returned, that the multitude received him gladly; for they were all waiting for him.
41 ৪১ আর দেখ, যায়ীর নামে এক ব্যক্তি আসলেন; তিনি সমাজঘরের একজন তত্ত্বাবধায়ক। তিনি যীশুর পায়ে পড়ে তার বাড়ি যেতে তাঁকে অনুরোধ করতে লাগলেন;
And, behold, there came a man, whose name was Jairus; and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and he fell down at the feet of Jesus, and besought him to come into his house;
42 ৪২ কারণ তার একমাত্র মেয়ে ছিল, বয়স প্রায় বারো বছর, আর সে যে কোনও মূহুর্তে মারা যেতে পারে। যীশু যখন যাচ্ছিলেন, তখন লোকেরা তাঁর উপরে চাপাচাপি করে পড়তে লাগল।
for he had a daughter, his only child, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. And as he went, the multitude pressed upon him.
43 ৪৩ আর, একটি মহিলা, যে বারো বছর ধরে রক্তস্রাব রোগে ভুগছিলেন, তিনি ডাক্তারদের পিছনে সব টাকা ব্যয় করেও কারও কাছেই সুস্থ হতে পারেননি,
And a woman that had been afflicted with an issue of blood for twelve years, who had spent her whole living upon physicians, and could be cured by no one,
44 ৪৪ সে তাঁর পিছন দিকে এসে তাঁর পোশাকের ঝালর স্পর্শ করল; আর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তার রক্তস্রাব বন্ধ হয়ে গেল।
came behind, and touched the fringe of his mantle; and her issue of blood immediately ceased.
45 ৪৫ তখন যীশু বললেন, “কে আমাকে স্পর্শ করল?” সবাই অস্বীকার করলে পিতর ও তাঁর সঙ্গীরা বললেন, “প্রভু, লোকেরা চাপাচাপি করে আপনার উপরে পড়ছে।”
And Jesus said: Who touched me? When they all denied, Peter and those with him said: Master, the multitudes press upon thee, and throng thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
46 ৪৬ কিন্তু যীশু বললেন, “আমাকে কেউ স্পর্শ করেছে, কারণ আমি টের পেয়েছি যে, আমার মধ্যে থেকে শক্তি বের হয়েছে।”
But Jesus said: Some one touched me; for I perceive that power has gone forth from me.
47 ৪৭ মহিলাটি যখন দেখল, সে যা করেছে তা লুকানো যাবে না, তখন কাঁপতে কাঁপতে এসে তাঁর সামনে উপুড় হয়ে প্রণাম করল আর কিসের জন্য তাঁকে স্পর্শ করেছিল এবং কীভাবে সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সুস্থ হয়েছিল, তা সব লোকের সামনে বর্ণনা করলেন।
And the woman, seeing that she had not escaped notice, came trembling, and fell down before him, and told him, before all the people, for what cause she had touched him, and that she was immediately restored to health.
And he said to her: Take courage, daughter; your faith has saved you; go in peace.
49 ৪৯ তিনি কথা বলছেন, এমন দিনের সমাজঘরের এক অধ্যক্ষের বাড়ি থেকে একজন এসে বলল, “আপনার মেয়ের মৃত্যু হয়েছে, গুরুকে আর কষ্ট দেবেন না।”
While he was yet speaking, there came some one from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and said to him: Your daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher.
But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying: Fear not, only believe, and she shall be saved.
51 ৫১ পরে তিনি সেই বাড়িতে উপস্থিত হলে, পিতর, যাকোব ও যোহন এবং মেয়েটির বাবা ও মা ছাড়া আর কাউকেই প্রবেশ করতে দিলেন না।
And when he came to the house, he permitted no one to go in but Peter and James and John, and the father and the mother of the child.
And all were weeping and lamenting her. But he said: Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeps.
And they derided him, knowing that she was dead.
But he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, and said: Child, arise.
And her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And he commanded that food should be given her.
56 ৫৬ এসব দেখে তার মা বাবা খুবই আশ্চর্য্য হল, কিন্তু তিনি তাদের নির্দেশ দিয়ে বললেন, “এ ঘটনার কথা কাউকে বলো না।”
And her parents were amazed. But he charged them to tell no one what had been done.
