Johan 15
1 Kai loe misurkung tangtang ah ka oh, Kam Pa loe takha tawnkung ah oh.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Anih loe kai ih athaih kathai ai tanghangnawk to pakhruk: athaih kathai tanghangnawk loe athaih aep hanah, tanghangnawk to atlik pae.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Nangcae loe kang thuih o ih lok hoiah vaihi na ciim o boeh.
Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Kai khaeah om o poe ah, Kai doeh nangcae khaeah ka oh poe han. Misurkung ah angpeh ai tanghang loe, angmah koehah athaih athai thai ai; Kai ah na om o ai nahaeloe, athaih na thai o thai mak ai.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 Kai loe misurkung ah ka oh, nangcae loe tanghang ah na oh o: Kai ai ah loe tidoeh na sah o thai ai pongah, Kai ah kaom kami loe, Kai doeh anih khaeah ka oh, to tiah om kami loe athaih paroeai athaih.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.
6 Kai ah kaom ai kami loe, kangqo tanghang baktiah tasa bangah vah o ving; kaminawk mah tanghang to akhuih o moe, hmai thungah vah o, nihcae loe hmai mah kangh.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Kai ah na oh o moe, ka lok nangcae thungah om nahaeloe, na koeh o ih hmuen to hni oh, nangcae hanah sah pae tih.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Kam Pa loe athaih kapop ah na thaih o haih rang hoiah pakoeh ah oh; to tiah ni ka hnukbang kami ah na om o tih.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and [so] shall ye be my disciples.
9 Pa mah Ang palung baktih toengah, Kang palung o toeng: Kai amlunghaih ah om oh.
Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in my love.
10 Kam Pa mah paek ih loknawk to ka pakuem moe, Anih amlunghaih ah ka oh baktih toengah, Kang paek ih loknawk to na pakuem o nahaeloe, Kai amlunghaih ah na om o tih.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 Kang hoehaih nangcae khaeah oh moe, nang hoe o haih akoep thai hanah, hae loknawk hae kang thuih o.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and [that] your joy may be fulfilled.
12 Kang palung o baktih toengah, nangcae doeh maeto hoi maeto amlung oh, hae loe kang paek o ih lok ah oh.
This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.
13 Kami maeto mah ampuinawk hanah a hinghaih paek khoek to amlunghaih pongah kalen kue amlunghaih to om ai boeh.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Kang thuih o ih lok baktiah na sak o nahaeloe, Kai ih ampui ah na oh o.
Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.
15 Angmah ih angraeng mah sak ih tok to tamna mah panoek ai pongah, vaihi hoi kamtong tamna, tiah kang kawk o mak ai boeh; Kam Pa khae hoi ka thaih ih loknawk to nangcae khaeah kam tuengsak boeh pongah, ampui, tiah ni kang kawk o boeh.
No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Nangcae mah kai nang qoi o ai, Kai mah ni nangcae to kang qoih, na caeh o moe, athaih na thaih o pacoengah, nangcae ih athaih to oh poe hanah, tok kang paek o: to naah Kai ih ahmin hoiah Pa khaeah hni kami loe, Anih mah nangcae hanah paek tih.
Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 Maeto hoi maeto nam lung o hanah, hae loknawk hae kang paek o.
These things I command you, that ye may love one another.
18 Long mah nangcae hnuma nahaeloe, nangcae hnuma ai naah Kai ni ang hnukma, tito panoek oh.
If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before [it hated] you.
19 Long kami ah na oh o nahaeloe, angmah ih kami ah na oh o pongah, long mah nangcae to palung tih: toe nangcae loe long kami ah na om o ai, long thung hoiah kang qoih o boeh pongah, long mah nangcae to hnukma.
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Kang thuih o ih lok to poek oh, Tamna loe angmah ih angraeng pongah len kue ai. Nihcae mah Kai pacaekthlaek nahaeloe, nangcae doeh pacaekthlaek o toeng tih; nihcae mah Ka thuih ih lok pakuem o nahaeloe, nangcae mah thuih o ih lok doeh nihcae mah pakuem o toeng tih.
Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 Nihcae mah Kai patoehkung Anih to panoek o ai pongah, Kai ih ahmin pongah nihcae mah hae hmuennawk hae nangcae nuiah sah o tih.
But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 Kai kang zo ai moe, nihcae khaeah ka thui ai nahaeloe, nihcae loe zaehaih tawn o mak ai: toe vaihi loe angmacae zaehaih to angphat o thai mak ai boeh.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 Kai hnuma kami loe Kam Pa doeh hnukma.
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 Kalah kaminawk mah sah ai ih toknawk to nihcae salakah ka sah ai nahaeloe, nihcae loe zaehaih tawn o mak ai: toe vaihi loe ka sak ih toknawk nihcae mah hnuk o boeh pongah, nihcae mah Kai hoi Kam Pa to hnukma o.
If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 Toe angmacae ih kaalok pongah, Tidoeh na ai ah nihcae mah Kai ang hnukma o, tiah tarik ih lok to akoep thai han ih ni hae tiah oh.
But [this cometh to pass], that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 Pa khae hoiah kang patoeh han ih Pathloepkung, Pa khae hoi tacawt, loktang Muithla to angzoh naah, Anih mah Kai kawng to taphong tih.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:
27 Nangcae doeh tangsuek na hoi Kai khaeah na oh o pongah, Kai hnukung ah na om o toeng tih.
and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
