And Sarai [the] wife of Abram not she had borne children to him and [belonged] to her a maidservant Egyptian and name her [was] Hagar.

And she said Sarai to Abram here! please he has restrained me Yahweh from bearing children go please into maidservant my perhaps I will be built up (from her *Lb) and he listened Abram to [the] voice of Sarai.
3 Te dongah Sarai ol te Abram loh a ngai. Te dongah Kanaan kho ah Abram loh kho a sak te kum kumrha a thok vaengah Abram yuu Sarai loh a sal Egypt nu Hagar te a loh tih a va Abram taengah a yuu la a paek.
And she took Sarai [the] wife of Abram Hagar the Egyptian maidservant her from [the] end of ten years of [the] dwelling of Abram in [the] land of Canaan and she gave her to Abram husband her of him to a wife.
4 Te phoeiah Hagar te a kun thil hatah pahoi pumrhih. Tedae a pumrhih te a ming vaengah a mik neh a boeinu te hnaep.
And he went into Hagar and she conceived and she saw that she had conceived and she became insignificant mistress her in eyes her.
5 Te dongah Sarai loh Abram taengah, “Kai sokah kuthlahnah te nang pum dongah tla saeh. Kai loh na rhang dongah ka salnu kam paek dae a pumrhih te a hmuh vaengah a mik neh n'hnaep he kai laklo neh nang laklo ah BOEIPA loh laitloek mai saeh,” a ti nah.
And she said Sarai to Abram injustice my [is] on you I I put maidservant my in bosom your and she has seen that she had conceived and I have become insignificant in eyes her may he judge Yahweh between me and between you.
6 Tedae Abram loh Sarai la, “Na salnu te namah kut ah om ne. Na mikhmuh ah then ti bangla anih te saii saw,” a ti nah. Te dongah anih te Sarai loh a phaep tih anih khaw Sarai mikhmuh lamloh yong.
And he said Abram to Sarai there! maidservant your [is] in hand your do to her the good in eyes your and she afflicted her Sarai and she fled from before her.
7 Tedae Shur long taengkah tuiphuet kaep, khosoek tuiphuet tui taengah BOEIPA kah puencawn a hmuh.
And he found her [the] angel of Yahweh at [the] spring of water in the wilderness at the spring on [the] way of Shur.
8 Te vaengah, “Sarai kah salnu Hagar me lamkah lae na lo tih melam na caeh eh?” a ti nah. Te dongah Hagar loh, “Ka boeinu Sarai hmuh lamloh ka yong coeng,” a ti nah.
And he said O Hagar [the] maidservant of Sarai where? from this have you come and where? are you going and she said from before Sarai mistress my I [am] fleeing.
9 Tedae BOEIPA kah puencawn loh, “Na boeinu taengah mael lamtah anih kut hmuiah yalh mai,” a ti nah.
And he said to her [the] angel of Yahweh return to mistress your and humble yourself under hands her.
10 Te phoeiah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh Hagar taengah, “Nang kah tiingan te pungtai rhoela ka pungtai sak vetih a khawk uet ah n'tae lek mahpawh,” a ti nah.
And he said to her [the] angel of Yahweh certainly I will increase offspring your and not it will be counted from multitude.
11 Te phoeiah BOEIPA kah puencawn loh anih te, “Nang kah phacipphabaem te BOEIPA loh a yaak coeng dongah nang na vawn tih camoe a om vaengah a ming te Ishmael la na khue ni.
And he said to her [the] angel of Yahweh here you [are] pregnant and you will bear a son and you will call name his Ishmael for he has listened Yahweh to affliction your.
12 Tedae anih he hlang kah kohong marhang la om ni. A kut loh hlang tom a veet vetih hlang boeih kah kut loh anih veet cakhaw a manuca boeih kah mikhmuh ah kho a sak ni,” a ti nah.
And he he will be a wild donkey of a man hand his [will be] on everyone and [the] hand of everyone [will be] on him and on [the] face of all brothers his he will dwell.
13 Te vaengah, “Kai aka hmu kah a hnuk te hela koep ka hmuh,” a ti dongah anih taengah aka cal BOEIPA ming te, “Nang tah Mueihmuh Pathen,” tila a khue.
And she called [the] name of Yahweh who spoke to her you [are] a God of seeing for she said ¿ also here have I seen [the] back of [the] [one who] sees me.
14 Te dongah Kadesh laklo neh Bered laklo kah tuito ke Beerlahairoi a sui.
There-fore someone called the well Beer Lahai Roi there! [it is] between Kadesh and between Bered.
15 Te phoeiah Hagar loh Abram ham capa a cun pah. Hagar loh a cun a capa te Abram loh a ming Ishmael tila a sui.
And she bore Hagar to Abram a son and he called Abram [the] name of son his whom she had borne Hagar Ishmael.
16 Hagar loh Abram ham Ishmael a cun pah vaengah Abram khaw kum sawmrhet kum rhuk lo ca pueng.
And Abram [was] a son of eighty year[s] and six years when bore Hagar Ishmael to Abram.
