< Rom 14 >

1 Tangnah aka vawtthoek te doe uh lamtah poeknah neh boelhkhoehnah te khueh boeh.
Him that is weak in the faith receive all of you, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 Pakhat long ngawn tah boeih caak ham a tangnah. Tedae tattloel long tah toian a caak.
For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.
3 Aka ca loh aka ca pawt te hnaelcoe boeh. Aka ca pawt long khaw aka ca te kamkaih boeh. Anih te khaw Pathen loh a doe coeng.
Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.
Anih te a boei hut la pai tih yalh ta. Tedae Boeipa loh anih te a thoh thai dongah pai ngawn ni ta.
Who are you that judge another man's servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 Te dongah pakhat loh khohnin pakhat lakah khohnin pakhat te a poek. Tedae pakhat loh khohnin boeih he tanglue la a poek. Pakhat rhip loh amah lungbuei ah tangnah saeh.
One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 Khohnin aka yaeh loh Boeipa ham a yaeh tih aka ca loh boeipa ham a caak dongah Pathen te a uem. Aka ca pawt long khaw Boeipa ham a caak pawt dongah Pathen te a uem.
He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.
For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself.
8 N'hing uh atah Boeipa ham n'hing uh tih n'duek uh atah Boeipa ham n'duek uh.
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 Te ham te Khrih duek tih hing coeng. Te daengah ni aka duek neh aka hing kah boei la bok a om eh.
In order to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
Mamih boeih tah Pathen kah ngolkhoel ah m'pai uh ni.
But why do you judge your brother? or why do you set at nothing your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 A daek vanbangla Boeipa loh, “Kai tah ka hing. Te dongah Hlang boeih loh kai taengah khuklu cungkueng saeh lamtah olka boeih loh Pathen ming te phong saeh,” a ti.
For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 Te dongah mamih khat rhip loh amah amah kah lannah te Pathen taengah a paek tangloeng ni.
So then every one of us shall give account (logos) of himself to God.
13 Te dongah khat neh khat soah laitloek uh thae boel sih. Tedae manuca taengah caehkoek neh thangkui khueh pawt ham he mah laitloek uh.
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14 Amah ah aka tanghnong he om pawh tila Boeipa Jesuh ah ka ngaitang tih ka ming dae khat khat loh mebang khaw tanghnong a ti atah anih ham tanghnong la om ni.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
But if your brother be grieved with your food, now walk you not charitably. (agape) Destroy not him with your food, for whom Christ died.
16 Te dongah nangmih ham aka then tah soehsal boeh.
Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 Pathen kah ram tah caak neh ook dongah pawt tih duengnah, rhoepnah, Mueihla Cim ah omngaihnah dongah ni a om.
For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
18 Te dongah he nen he Khrih kah sal aka bi tah Pathen ham kolonah neh hlang ham ueppang koi la om.
For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Te dongah rhoepnah koi neh khat neh khat ham hlinsainah koi te hnuktlak uh tangloeng sih.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 Caak ham dawk neh Pathen kah bibi te phae boeh. A cungkuem he caih ngawn dae caak rhangneh hlang ham caehkoek la a om te thae.
For food destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offence.
21 Maeh caak pawt khaw, misurtui a ok ham pawt rhangneh na manuca loh a tongtah pawt te then.
It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.
Amah loh a soepsoei tangtae te lai aka tloek thil pawt tah a yoethen.
Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.
23 Tedae a boelhkhoeh tih a caak atah tangnah lamkah pawt dongah boe coeng. Te dongah tangnah lamkah pawt boeih te tah tholhnah ni.
And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
