AND Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
2 Hichun Hiram kom ah Solomon in thu a lethot in ahi.
And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
3 “Kapa David chun a Pakai a Pathen min dopsang na dinga ahou in tundoh ding chu ana jou tapoi, ajeh chu aman avel’a galmite hotoh gal kisatto na a ana kimang chan ahi. Pathen in amahi galmite ajo sah soh kahse’a houin ana sah joulou ahi.
Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
4 Tunvang ka Pakai ka Pathen in gamsung pumpia hin chamna eipe tan, tuhin galmi kanei tapon eihin suboi ding jong kanei tapon ahi.
But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
5 Pakaiyin kapa David kom ah nangma banna Leng’a ka hin tun ding na chapa chun kei dinga houin eihin sahpeh ding ahi tin kitepna ana neijin ahi. Hijeh chun Pakai ka Pathen houin a ding’a houin khat sah dingin lunggel lhuhna kanei tan ahi.
And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
6 Hijeh chun Lebannon ah kei dinga Cedar thing eihung phuh peh dingin namite hinsol in lang kamiten jong ama hochu tohkhom piuvintin chuleh nangma dei dung jui jin a tohman’u pe nang’e. Ajeh chu nami ten thing phuh ji ahet bang un keima miten ahe pouve ti na hetsa ahi,” atin ahi.
Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
7 Solomon thuthot chu ajah phat in Hiram chu a kipah lheh jengin, hitin aseiye: “Hitobang nam thupitah chung’a ama banna Leng chang dinga David chapa ching tah hinpe’a Pakai chu thangvah in umhen!”
And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.
8 Hichun Hiram in Solomon chu thu athot in, “Nahin thuthot chu kana mu’n na ngaichat bang’a na dei bol ding’a kigosa kahi. Keiman Cedar thingle chahthing ho kahin peh ding ahi.
And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
9 Kamiten thingbong hochu Lebannon apat twikhanglen geijin hin tolsuh untin chuleh alom in hin kan gom untin nang in na dei nalai tui panga chu ahin tol suh diu ahi, chujouteng ka miten lhamlha untin chuleh na mite khut a ahin pohlut ding’u ahi. My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.
10 Hiti chun Hiram in Solomon chu Cedar leh chahthing a ngaichat chan ahin pen ahi.
So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.
11 Chuleh Solomonin Hiram mite neh dingin suhlou chang atena dim sang somni leh thaotwi ki hehlhasa atena dim sang somni apen ahi. Solomon in thil hijat hi kum seh a Hiram apeh jing ahi.
And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
12 Pakaiyin akitepna bang bang in Solomon chu chihna apen, Solomon leh Hiram kah ajong chamlen jingna dingin pankhom jing na dingin kigahna anasem lhonin ahi.
And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
13 Solomon in Israel mipi jouse lah a konin mi sang somthum namna a natong dingin ana goijin hiche ho chungchang ahin, Adoniram thanei na ana pen ahi.
And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
14 Ama ho hi sangsom somin Lebanon langa asol jin, lhakhat sungin Lebanon a na agatong jiuvin ahi. Chujouteng lhani sung chu in’a ahung kicholdo jiuvin ahi. Hichea soh na tongho vesui dingin Adoniram ana pansah in ahi.
And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.
15 Solomon in thinglhang gamsung’a jong thilgih pole dingin mihem sang somsagi; song kheng them jong mihem sang somget aneije.
And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;
16 Natong ho vesui dingin lamkai sangthum leh jathum ana pansah in ahi.
Beside the chief of Solomon’s officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
17 Lengpa thupeh dungjuijin songlentah tahle song guntah tah hochu akheng toh-un Houin bul kitun dohna a dingin ana mang un ahi.
And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
18 Gebal khopi miten Solomon akithopi uvin chuleh Hiram in sathem hon Houin songle thing ding agon peh un ahi.
And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
