and kept back some of the proceeds, with his wife also being aware of it. He brought a portion of the proceeds and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 Chuin Peter chun aseiyin, “Ananias ipi dinga nalungthim chu Satan nalodimsah hitam? Lhagao Theng najoulhep in nasum akehkhat nanga dingin nakikoi tai.
But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled yoʋr heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back some of the proceeds of the plot of land?
4 Nagouthil chu nanga ahi, johding le johlou ding jong nangma thu ahi, najoh jouva jong asum chu nanga ahin, pehdoh ding le pehdohlou ding jong nangma thu ahi. Ipi dinga hitobanghi nabol hitam? Hiche hi keiho neijoubol nau ahipon Pathen najoubolna joh ahi” ati.
While it remained unsold, did it not remain yoʋrs? And once it was sold, was it not under yoʋr control? How is it that yoʋ have put this thing in yoʋr heart? Yoʋ have not lied to men but to God.”
5 Hichethu chu Ananias in ajah jah chun lhonglaiya chun alhun athitai, chuin hiche thu ajapha jouse chu akichathei lheh tauvin ahi.
When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last breath. And great fear came upon all who heard about it.
6 Chuin khangdong phabep ahungdoh un ponin atomun vuidingin apodoh tauvin ahi.
Then the young men rose, wrapped up his body, carried him out, and buried him.
7 Nidan thum vel chejouvin, thilsoh imacha hephalouvin ajinu chu ahungin,
About three hours later, his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
8 Chuin Peter in adongin, “Hiche sumhi najipa toh nagam mana namu lhon chu hitam?” atileh amanun jong “Henge hichu kagam man lhon ahi,” ati.
Peter said to her, “Tell me if you sold the plot of land for such and such a price.” She said, “Yes, for such a price.”
9 Chuin Peter in aseiyin, “Ipi dinga nanitah lhon'a Pakai Lhagao napatep lhona hitobang thilphalou hi nabol lhon hitam? Najipa vuiya che gollhanghon kotphung ahinpha tauvin ahi, chule nangjong naputdoh diu ahitai,” ati.
Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who buried yoʋr husband are at the door, and they will carry yoʋ out.”
10 Apettah chun lhonglaiya chun alhun athipaitan ahi. Gollhangho ahunglut un ahileh amanu athisa anaum chu amu uvin chuin apodoh paiyun ajipa kivuina koma chun aga vui tauvin ahi.
At once she fell down at his feet and breathed her last breath. When the young men came in, they found her dead, so they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
11 Chuin Houbung pumpi le athu japha jouse chunga kichatna lentah achutan ahi.
And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard these things.
12 Chuin solchahho chun miholah-a chun melchih nale thil kidang tampi abolun, tahsan chate jouse Houin a, Solomon kempum kiti muna chun niseh in akikhom jing tauvin ahi.
Now many signs and wonders were taking place among the people by the hands of the apostles, and all the believers were together with one accord in Solomon's portico.
13 Ahin mipihon amaho chu amusang lheh vangun alah uva jaoding chu angam pouvin ahi.
No one else dared to join them, but the people held them in high regard.
14 Hijeng jongle tahsan chate chu Pakai henga hung akibe jing jengin, numei le pasal akibe jingin ahi.
Yet more and more people believed in the Lord and were added to their number, a multitude of both men and women.
15 Solchahho natoh jehchun miho chun Peter avale komle alebeh achunguva achuh khah nading tin damlou ho jouse chu lamlen dunga ahinpodoh uvin lupna le pheh chunga alupsah un ahi.
As a result, people carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and mats, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on one of them.
16 Jerusalem kimvela khopi hoa kon chun mipi ahung khomun damlouho le lhagaoboh vop ho ahinpuiyun ahileh abonchauvin adamsoh keiyuvin ahi.
A multitude from the towns all around Jerusalem also gathered together, bringing the sick and those harassed by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
17 Chuin thempu chungnung leh aloite Sadducee ho chu thangsetnan adimset un ahi.
Then the high priest rose up, along with all who were with him (that is, the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy.
18 Chuin solchahho chu amanun songkul'a chun ahentauvin ahi.
So they arrested the apostles and put them in a public jail.
19 Ahin jan in Pakai Lhagao ahungin, akihennau songkul kot chu ahongdohin solchahho chu apuidoh in,
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, brought them out, and said,
20 “Hou'in a cheuvin lang miho koma hiche hinna thuhi gaseipeh tauvin,” ati.
“Go stand in the temple courts and tell the people everything about this new life.”
21 Chuin ajing khovah-in solchahho chu Houin'a alut-un, Pakai Lhagaovin akomuva aseipeh bangun ahil tauvin ahi. Chuin thempu chungnung chu atohkhompi chengtoh ahungin, Israelte lah-a aupa houle houvaipoloi ho chu akoukhomun, chuin solchahho chu achungthu-u kholchet dingin songkul'a konin aga puidohsah-un ahi.
When they heard this, they entered the temple courts at dawn and began teaching. When the high priest came, along with those who were with him, they called together the Sanhedrin—that is, the entire eldership of the sons of Israel—and sent officers to the prison to have the apostles brought before them.
22 Houin ngaha pang sottolle ho chu songkul'a ahungun ahileh, songkul'a chun koima anaum tapon ahi, chuin amaho akile uvin houvaipoho henga chun thil umchan chu aseiyun,
But when the officers arrived, they did not find them in the prison. So they returned and reported,
23 “Songkul kot chu kikhah detchet a angah ho chu apama ding ahiuvin, ahin songkul kot chu ahonuva ahile asunga chun koima anaumpon ahi!” atiuve.
“We found the prison locked up in complete security and the guards standing in front of the doors, but when we opened the doors, we found no one inside.”
24 Chuin Houin ngahho lah-a lamkaipa le thempu pipuho chu alungboi lheh jengun, ipi khat ahungsoh tadem tin adatmo lheh jengun ahi.
When the high priest, the captain of the temple guard, and the chief priests heard this report, they were greatly perplexed by it, wondering what might come of this.
25 Chuin mikhat ahungin kidang satah in, “Songkul'a nakhum-u miho chu Houin'a adinguvin miho thu ahil uve,” ahung tin ahi.
Then someone came and told them, “Behold, the men you put in prison are standing in the temple courts teaching the people!”
26 Chuin Houin ngaha pang sepai lamkaipa leh a sepai techu acheuvin solchahho chu aga manun, ahin ajokhat le mipi ho chun songin eisep unte tin boina sem louvin oltah in agabolun ahi.
So the captain went with the officers and brought the apostles without the use of force, for they were afraid the people might stone them.
27 Chuin solchahho chu houvaipoloi angsunga ahinpuilut un, amaho chu thempu chungnung in thu adongun,
After bringing the apostles in, they had them stand before the Sanhedrin, and the high priest asked them,
28 “Hiche mipa min chun thu hilkit tahih-un tia hakhama kakham nahilou uham? Ahinlah nathuhil'u Jerusalem nadipsoh un hiche mipa thina chungchanga hin keiho neimoso got uve,” atin ahi.
“Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? Yet behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you are determined to bring the blood of this man upon us.”
29 Ahin Peter le solchahho chun adonbut'un, “Keihon mihem thuneiho sanga Pathen thu kangaijoh dingu ahi.
But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
30 Ipu ipateu Pathen chun thingpel chunga nakhaisanguva nathau Yeshua chu thina-a kona akaithoukit ahi.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging him on a cross.
31 Ahin ama chu Pathen in Pakai leh Huhhingpu dinga achoisanga akhutjet lama atousah ahitai. Chule hiche hi Israel chate chonset lungheina dingle ngaidam channa dinga abol ahi.
God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior to grant repentance to Israel and remission of sins.
32 Keiho hi hiche thudol hettohsah chu kahiuvin, chuleh athua nungho dinga Pathen in apeh Lhagao Theng jong chu ahi,” atiuvin ahi.
Concerning these things we are his witnesses, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
33 Chuin hiche kisei ajah phat'un houvaipoloi ho chu alung hangdoh jah'un thading lung ageltauvin ahi.
When they heard this, they were furious and resolved to put them to death,
34 Ahin houvaipoloi lah a mikhat, Pharisee mi amin Gamaliel, amapa chu hou danthu them le mijousen ajabol mikhat ahin, adingdoh in miho chu chomkhat pamlanga soldoh dingin thu apen ahi.
but a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was held in honor by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and gave orders to put the apostles outside for a little while.
35 Chuin aman aloite henga chun aseiyin, “Nangho Israel mite, hiteho chunga bolding nagot uhi chingtheiyun!
Then he said to the Sanhedrin, “Men of Israel, give careful consideration to what you are about to do to these men.
36 Tu masang chun Theudas kiti mikhat anaumin, ama chu milen khat bangin ana um'in ahile mihem jali valin anung ana jui un ahi, ahin ama chu anathat'un ahileh anungjui ho chu lamchom cheh a anavahcheh gamun, abol atoh hou jouse imalou asohtan ahi.
For before these days Theudas rose up, declaring himself to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, responded to the call to join him. He was put to death, and all his followers were scattered and came to nothing.
37 Amapa jouchun hichu min kisut lai ahin, Galilee mi Judas kiti mikhat anaum kitin ama jong chun anungjui mitampi ana neiyin, ahin athat kitun ahile anungjui ho jouse chu ana kithecheh kit tauvin ahi.
After this man, Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all his followers were scattered.
38 Chuti ahijeh chun hiche mite hi ima lohih un, moh lhaong uvin, ajeh chu amahon angaitouva abolgot'u hi amaho lungchama ahile chomkhat joule hungmang paiding ahi.
So I say to you now, keep away from these men and leave them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of men, it will be stopped;
39 Ahin Pathena kona ahileh nasuhmang jou lou dingu, nangho le nangho Pathen toh kidoubep nahilo dingu ahi!” ati.
but if it is of God, you cannot put a stop to it. You will only find yourselves fighting against God.”
40 Chuin ama thumop chun akilol tauvin, solchahho chu akouvun ajep uvin, chujouvin Yeshua mina thu aseikit tahlou nadingun agihsalun alha tauvin ahi.
They were persuaded by him, and after calling in the apostles, they beat them, commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.
41 Chuin solchahho chu houvaipoloi angsunga kon chun apotdoh un, Yeshua mina suhgima aumjeh uchun akipah lheh jengun ahi.
So the apostles went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer dishonor for the name of Jesus.
42 chule aniseh in Houin le ainson tin'ah “Yeshua chu Messiah ahi,” tichu ahil'un asamphong jom jingun ahi.
And every day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
