< Luk 20 >

1 Hahoi, hnin touh hnin teh Jisuh ni bawkim vah tami moikapap a cangkhai teh kamthang kahawi a dei lahun nah vaihma bawinaw, cakathutkungnaw hoi kacuenaw a tho awh teh,
And it came to pass, on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, there came upon him the chief priests and the scribes with the elders;
2 hete hnosakthai nahanelah bangpatet e kâtawnnae maw na tawn. Apini maw kâtawnnae na poe dei haw, telah a ti awh.
and they spake, saying unto him, Tell us: By what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?
And he answered and said unto them, I also will ask you a question; and tell me:
4 Jawhan ni baptisma poe thainae kâ a tawn e hah kalvan hoi e maw, tami koehoi e maw, dei awh haw, telah a pacei.
The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?
5 Ahnimouh ni buet touh hoi buet touh a kâpan awh teh, bangtelamaw ti han. Kalvan hoi e tetpawiteh, hat boipawiteh bangkongmaw Jawhan na yuem awh hoeh telah a dei han. Tami koehoi e doeh telah tet pawiteh,
And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why did ye not believe him?
6 hivah kaawm e taminaw pueng ni Jawhan teh profet roeroe doeh telah a yuem awh dawkvah, ahnimouh ni maimanaw teh talung hoi na dêi awh han, telah ati awh.
But if we shall say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
7 Hatdawkvah ahnimanaw ni, nâ hoi e maw tie ka panuek awh hoeh, telah a dei awh.
And they answered, that they knew not whence [it was].
And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
9 Hatnavah Jisuh ni taminaw koe bangnuenae lawk a dei pouh. Tami buet touh ni misur takha buet touh a tawn. Takhakatawkkungnaw koe a hlai sak teh, kahlong lah atueng moikasawlah a cei.
And he began to speak unto the people this parable: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country for a long time.
10 Misur paw khi tue a pha toteh, a hlai sak e naw koehoi misurpaw la hanelah, takhakatawkkungnaw koe a san buet touh a patoun. Hatei takhakatawkkungnaw ni a san hah a hem awh teh, kuthrawng lah a pâban awh.
And at the season he sent unto the husbandmen a servant, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 Hahoi alouke a san buet touh bout a patoun navah, a hem awh teh, yeiraipo sak awh teh, kuthrawng lah bout a pâban awh.
And he sent yet another servant: and him also they beat, and handled him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 Alouke a san hah bout a patoun navah, ka patawpoung lah a hem awh teh a pâlei awh.
And he sent yet a third: and him also they wounded, and cast him forth.
And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him.
14 Hatei, takhakatawkkungnaw niyah, a capa a hmu navah ahni teh râw ka coe hane nahoehmaw, tho awh, thet awh sei. Hat pawiteh doeh ahnie râw hah maimouh ni coe awh ti ati awh.
But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir: let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 Hatdawkvah takha katawnkung e capa hah a man awh, takha alawilah a pâlei awh teh a thei awh.
And they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 Takhakatawnkung hah koung thet vaiteh, hote takha hah alouke takhakatawkkungnaw koe a poe han telah atipouh. Hote hah taminaw ni a thai navah, hottelah awm hanh naseh, ati awh.
He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.
17 Jisuh ni ahnimanaw a khet teh, im kasakkung ni, a pahnawt e talung hah a takinlung lah bout ao tie Cakathoung dawk kaawm e lawk hah bangmaw a dei ngai, telah a pacei awh.
But he looked upon them, and said, What then is this that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner?
Every one that falleth on that stone shall be broken to pieces; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.
19 Hahoi teh vaihma bawinaw, cakathutkungnaw ni hote bangnuenae teh maimouh doeh na dei ngai nah tie a panue awh toteh, Jisuh man nahanelah kho a pouk awh. Hatei kamkhueng e tamihupui hah a taki awh.
And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he spake this parable against them.
20 Hatnavah Farasinaw ni Jisuh e lawk man pouh hanelah a tawng teh kho kaukkung kâtawnnae katawnnaw e kut dawk poe thai nahanelah, tamikalan lah kâsak e katuetnaw a patoun awh.
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which feigned themselves to be righteous, that they might take hold of his speech, so as to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, and acceptest not the person [of any], but of a truth teachest the way of God:
22 Hatdawkvah na dei pouh haw, Sizar koe tamuk poe e hah kaimae phung hoi a kâtaran ou, kâtaran hoeh ou telah a pacei awh.
Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them,
24 Phoisa phek touh na patue haw, apie mei hoi min maw ka kamnuek telah a pacei navah, ahnimouh ni Rom siangpahrang e mei hoi min doeh atipouh awh.
Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? And they said, Caesar’s.
25 Jisuh ni Rom siangpahrang e hno teh Rom siangpahrang poe awh. Cathut e hno teh Cathut poe awh, telah atipouh.
And he said unto them, Then render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.
26 Hottelah ahnimouh ni taminaw e hma lah a lawk yon a hmu thai awh hoeh dawkvah, kângairu lahoi lawkkamuem lah ao awh.
And they were not able to take hold of the saying before the people: and they marveled at his answer, and held their peace.
27 Duenae koehoi boutthawnae awm hoeh ka tet e Sadusinaw ni Jisuh koe a tho awh teh,
And there came to him certain of the Sadducees, they which say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him,
28 Bawipa, tami buetbuet touh niyah ca tawn laipalah, a yu dout takhai pawiteh, a tami a thup hoeh nahanelah, a nawngha ni let awmkhai seh titeh Mosi ni a thut.

29 A hmaunawngha sari touh ao awh. A camin ni hmaloe a yu lah a la teh, Ca sak laipalah a due takhai.
There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died childless;
30 A nawngha ni patuen a okhai teh ca sak laipalah bout a due takhai.
and the second;
31 Hottelah, buet touh hnukkhu buet touh a due takhai awh teh, hmaunawngha sari touh ni ca sak awh laipalah, hote napui hah be a due takhai awh.
and the third took her; and likewise the seven also left no children, and died.
32 A hnukteng vah hote napui hai a due van.
Afterward the woman also died.
33 Hatdawkvah, boutthawnae tue a pha toteh, hote napui hah apie yu lah maw ao han. Hmaunawngha sari touh ni hote napui hah a yu lah a okhai awh toe telah a ti.
In the resurrection therefore whose wife of them shall she be? for the seven had her to wife.
34 Jisuh ni a dei e teh, atu tueng e taminaw teh a kâpaluen awh, a kâha awh. (aiōn g165)
And Jesus said unto them, The sons of this world marry, and are given in marriage: (aiōn g165)
35 Hatei, a yungyoe e pang hane hoi duenae koehoi bout thawnae dawk kamcu e taminaw teh kâpaluen awh hoeh, kâhâ awh hoeh toe. (aiōn g165)
but they that are accounted worthy to attain to that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: (aiōn g165)
36 Ahnimouh teh kalvantaminaw patetlah ao awh teh dout thai awh hoeh toe. Ahnimouh teh duenae koehoi bout thaw lah ao toung dawkvah Cathut e ca lah ao awh.
for neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
37 Hothloilah Mosi ni kadout tangcoung e taminaw hringnae dawk bout a thaw awh tie kacaicalah a dei. Hmai ka kang e buruk kong a dei nah Bawipa teh Abraham Cathut, Isak Cathut, Jakop Cathut lah ao a ti.
But that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed, in [the place concerning] the Bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38 Cathut teh kadoutnaw e Cathut na hoeh. Kahringnaw e Cathut doeh. Hote taminaw pueng ni Cathut dawk kahring awh telah atipouh.
Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
39 Cakathutkungnaw tami tangawn ni, Bawipa, nange na dei e lawk teh atang doeh telah a ti.
And certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
40 Hahoi ahni teh lawk bout pacei ngam awh hoeh.
For they durst not any more ask him any question.
41 Jisuh ni a thaw teh, bangtelamaw Messiah teh Devit capa lah ao han, telah na ti awh.
And he said unto them, How say they that the Christ is David’s son?
For David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.
44 Hottelah Devit ni Khrih hah Bawipa telah kaw pawiteh bangtelamaw Khrih teh ahnie a capa lah ao thai han, telah a pacei awh.
David therefore calleth him Lord, and how is he his son?

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts;
