< 2 Samuel 13 >

1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister whose name was Tamar. And Amnon the son of David loved her.
Absalọm nwa Devid nwere otu nwanne nwanyị mara mma, aha ya bụ Tama. Ma Amnọn, otu nʼime ụmụ ndị ikom Devid, hụrụ nwaagbọghọ a nʼanya.
2 And Amnon was so frustrated that he fell sick because of his sister Tamar. For she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.
Ma ịhụnanya a Amnọn hụrụ Tama nwanne ya nwanyị mere ya ka ọ daa ọrịa, nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe rara Amnọn ahụ ịchọpụta ụzọ ya na Tama ga-esi nwee mmekọ, ebe ọ bụ na Tama bụ nwaagbọghọ na-amaghị nwoke.
3 But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother. And Jonadab was a very sly man.
Ma Amnọn nwere otu enyi dị aghụghọ, onye aha ya bụ Jonadab, nwa Shimea, nwanne Devid.
4 And he said to him, Why, O son of the king, are thou emaciated this way from day to day? Will thou not tell me? And Amnon said to him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.
Otu ụbọchị, Jonadab bịakwutere Amnọn jụọ ya sị, “Gịnị mere, gị bụ nwa eze ji na-ata ahụ ụtụtụ niile? Ọ bụ na ị gaghị akọrọ m?” Amnọn gwara ya sị, “Ahụrụ m Tama nʼanya, bụ nwanne Absalọm, nwanne m nwoke.”
5 And Jonadab said to him, Lie down on thy bed, and feign thyself sick. And when thy father comes to see thee, say to him, Let my sister Tamar come, I pray thee, and give me bread to eat, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it from her hand.
Jonadab gwara ya sị, “Ọ dị mma. Lee ihe ị ga-eme. Gaa dinaa ala, dịka a ga-asị na ahụ adịghị gị. Mgbe nna gị bịara ileta gị, gwa ya okwu sị ya, ‘Achọrọ m ka nwanne m nwanyị bụ Tama bịa nye m ihe oriri. Achọrọ m ka ọ nọdụ nʼihu m sie nri ahụ, mgbe m na-ele ya anya, ka o jirikwa aka ya nye m nri ahụ.’”
6 So Amnon lay down, and feigned himself sick. And when the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, Let my sister Tamar come, I pray thee, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand.
Amnọn mere otu a.
7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and make food for him.
Devid kwenyere, zie Tama ka ọ gaa nʼụlọ Amnọn gaa siere ya nri.
8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house, and he was laid down. And she took dough, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes.
Tama gara nʼụlọ Amnọn, banyekwa nʼime ụlọ ebe o dinaa, ka Amnọn na-ele ya anya mgbe ọ na-agwọgharị ụtụ ọka. Emesịa, Tama gheere ya achịcha mara mma.
9 And she took the pan, and poured them out before him, but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have all men out from me. And they went out every man from him.
Mgbe o cheziri achịcha ahụ nʼihu Amnọn, Amnọn jụrụ iri ya. Ihe o mere mgbe ahụ bụ inye ndị na-ejere ya ozi nọ nʼebe ahụ iwu sị ha niile pụọ ngwangwa. Ha niile pụkwara.
10 And Amnon said to Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber that I may eat from thy hand. And Tamar took the cakes that she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
Mgbe ahụ, Amnọn gwara Tama okwu sị, “Ugbu a, wetara m nri ahụ nʼime ụlọ ndina m, bịa jiri aka gị nye m ya.” Tama bugaara ya achịcha ahụ nʼime ụlọ ebe ihe ndina ya dị.
11 And when she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her, and said to her, Come, lie with me, my sister.
Ma mgbe Tama guzo nʼihu ya, Amnọn jidere ya nʼike sị ya, “Bịa, soro m dinaa, nwanne m nwanyị.”
12 And she answered him, No, my brother, do not force me, for no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Do not do thou this folly.
Tama zara sị ya, “Mba! Nwanne m nwoke. Emerụla m. Ihe dị otu a ekwesighị ime nʼala Izrel. Emela ihe ọjọọ dị otu a.
13 And I, where shall I carry my shame? And as for thee, thou will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from thee.
Olee ihe ga-abụ ọnọdụ m? Oleekwanụ ihe ga-abụ ọnọdụ gị? Olee ebe m ga-agbala izo onwe m nʼihi ihe ihere ga-adịrị m ma i mee ihe dị otu a? Ị ga-adị ka otu nʼime ndị nzuzu ọjọọ dị nʼIzrel. Biko, gwa eze, ọ ga-ekwe ka ị lụọ m.”
14 However he would not hearken to her voice, but being stronger than she, he forced her, and lay with her.
Ma Amnọn egeghị ntị. Ebe ọ bụ na ọ ka Tama ike, o jidere ya dinaa ya nʼike merụọ ya.
15 Then Amnon hated her with exceedingly great hatred, for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, Arise, be gone.
Emesịa, Amnọn kpọrọ Tama asị. Nʼezie, ọ kpọrọ ya asị ugbu a karịa ịhụnanya ọ hụrụ ya na mbụ. Ọ gwara Tama okwu sị ya, “Bilie si nʼebe a pụọ ọsịịsọ!”
16 And she said to him, Not so, because this great wrong in putting me forth is worse than the other that thou did to me. But he would not hearken to her.
Ma Tama kwara akwa sị ya, “Mba! Ịjụ m otu a ka njọ karịa ihe ọjọọ i mere m.” Ma Amnọn egeghị ya ntị.
17 Then he called his servant who ministered to him, and said, Put this woman out from me now, and bolt the door after her.
Ọ kpọrọ nwokorobịa na-ejere ya ozi sị ya, “Chụpụ nwanyị a nʼezi, kpachiere m ụzọ nʼazụ.”
18 And she had a garment of various colors upon her, for with such robes were the king's daughters who were virgins appareled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
Onyeozi ya chụpụrụ ya nʼezi, kpachie ụzọ nʼazụ ya. Uwe mwụda nwere aka ogologo ka Tama yi, nʼihi na ọ bụ ụdị nke ụmụ ndị inyom eze na-amaghị nwoke na-eyi.
19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and tore her garment of various colors that was on her. And she laid her hand on her head, and went her way, crying aloud as she went.
Tama dọwara uwe mwụda ahụ o yi nʼahụ, werekwa ntụ kpokwasị onwe ya nʼisi, buru aka ya nʼisi na-eti mkpu akwa dịka ọ na-ala.
20 And Absalom her brother said to her, Has Amnon thy brother been with thee? But now hold thy peace, my sister. He is thy brother. Do not take this thing to heart. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.
Nwanne ya nwoke, Absalọm jụrụ ya sị, “Amnọn, nwanne gị nwoke, o dinakwuuru gị? Ma ugbu a, nwanne m, gba nkịtị, nwanne gị nwoke ka ọ bụ. Etinyela ihe a mere nʼobi.” Tama nọrọ dịka onye mmadụ niile jụrụ ajụ nʼụlọ nwanne ya nwoke, bụ Absalọm.
21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very angry.
Mgbe eze Devid nụrụ ihe ndị a niile, iwe were ya nke ukwuu.
22 And Absalom spoke to Amnon neither good nor bad, for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
Absalọm agwaghị Amnọn okwu ọbụla, maọbụ nke dị mma, maọbụ okwu ọjọọ. Ma ọ kpọrọ Amnọn asị nke ukwuu nʼihi ọnọdụ iweda nʼala o wedara nwanne ya Tama, mee ya ihe ihere.
23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep-shearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim, and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
Mgbe afọ abụọ gasịrị, mgbe ndị na-akpụchara Absalọm ajị ụmụ atụrụ ya nọ na Baal-Hazọ, nʼoke ala Ifrem, ọ kpọkọtara ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile ka ha bịa nʼebe ahụ.
24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant has sheep-shearers. Let the king, I pray thee, and his servants go with thy servant.
Absalọm jekwuuru eze sị ya, “Ndị na-akpụcha ajị ụmụ atụrụ ohu gị bịara. Eze na ndịisi ozi ya, ha ga-abịa sonyere m?”
25 And the king said to Absalom, No, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome to thee. And he pressed him. However he would not go, but blessed him.
26 Then Absalom said, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said to him, Why should he go with thee?
Mgbe ahụ, Absalọm rịọrọ nna ya sị, “Ọ dị mma, ọ bụrụ na ị gaghị abịa, ị ga-emekwa ka nwanna m nwoke Amnọn, na ụmụ eze ndị ọzọ bịa?” Eze jụrụ ya sị, “Nʼihi gịnị ka Amnọn ga-eji soro gị gaa?”
27 But Absalom pressed him, and he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
Ma Absalọm rụgidere ya, ya mere o zipụrụ Amnọn na ụmụ eze ndị ọzọ ka ha soro ya gaa.
28 And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, Notice ye now, when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, Smite Amnon, then kill him. Fear not; have I not commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant.
Mgbe ahụ, Absalọm nyere ndị na-ejere ya ozi iwu banyere Amnọn sị, “Cherenụ ruo mgbe mmanya bidoro igbu ya, mgbe m sịkwara unu tigbuo ya, unu atụla egwu, tigbuonụ ya. Ọ bụ m na-ekwu ihe ga-eme nʼebe a. Nweenụ obi ike, meekwanụ ya.”
29 And the servants of Absalom did to Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man got up upon his mule, and fled.
Mgbe oge ruru, ndị ozi Absalọm tigburu Amnọn. Mgbe ahụ, ụmụ eze niile biliri makwasị nʼịnyịnya ha gbalaga.
30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that the news came to David, saying, Absalom has slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
Mgbe ha ka nọ nʼụzọ na-agbaga Jerusalem, ozi eruolarị Devid ntị sị, “Absalọm egbuchaala ụmụ eze niile, ọ dịkwaghị otu onye nʼime ha fọdụrụ ndụ!”
31 Then the king arose, and tore his garments, and lay on the earth, and all his servants stood by with their clothes torn.
Eze biliri ọtọ, dọwaa uwe ya, daa nʼala, gbatịa onwe ya nʼihi obi ọjọọ. Ndị na-ejere ya ozi dọwakwara uwe ha nʼihi egwu na obi ọjọọ.
32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men the king's sons, for Amnon only is dead. For by the command of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
Ma Jonadab, nwa Shimea, nwanne Devid, sịrị, “Onyenwe m, echekwala na e gburu ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile, kama ọ bụ naanị Amnọn! Nke a bụ ihe Absalọm jikere ime site mgbe Amnọn wakporo nwanne ya nwanyị bụ Tama, dina ya.
33 Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead, for only Amnon is dead.
Ma ugbu a, ka onyenwe m bụ eze ghara itinye akụkọ banyere ọnwụ ụmụ ndị ikom eze niile, nʼobi ya. Ọ bụ naanị Amnọn nwụrụ.”
34 But Absalom fled. And the young man who kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill-side behind him.
Ma Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbalaga. Ọ dịghị anya nwoke na-anọ nʼelu mgbidi Jerusalem na-eche nche, lepụrụ anya hụ ndị mmadụ ka ha si nʼụzọ dị nʼakụkụ ugwu nta na-abịa. Nwoke ahụ gara gwa eze sị ya, “Ahụrụ m ndị si nʼakụkụ Horonaim, nʼakụkụ ugwu na-abịa.”
35 And Jonadab said to the king, Behold, the king's sons have come; as thy servant said, so it is.
Jonadab gwara eze sị, “Lee, ọ bụ ụmụ ndị ikom eze na-alọta dịka m kwuru.”
36 And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice, and wept. And the king also and all his servants wept very much.
Mgbe ha lọbatara, ha bidoro ịkwa akwa nke ukwuu. Eze na ndị na-ejere ya ozi sokwa kwaa akwa.
37 But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai the son of Ammihur, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbakwuru Talmai nwa Amihud, eze Geshua. Ma eze Devid ruru ụjụ nke ukwuu maka ọnwụ Amnọn.
38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
Mgbe Absalọm gbara ọsọ gbaga Geshua, ọ nọrọ nʼebe ahụ afọ atọ.
39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth to Absalom, for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
Ọ gụrụ eze bụ Devid agụụ ịgakwuru Absalọm, nʼihi ọ kasịela obi maka ọnwụ Amnọn.
