Deuteronomy 2
1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as Jehovah spoke to me. And we encompassed mount Seir many days.
၁ငါတို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည့် အတိုင်းလှည့်၍ အာကာဘာပင်လယ်ကွေ့သို့ဦး တည်လျက် တောကန္တာရထဲသို့ပြန်သွားကြပြီး လျှင် တောင်ကုန်းဒေသဖြစ်သောဧဒုံပြည်တွင် ကြာမြင့်စွာလှည့်လည်နေထိုင်ရကြ၏။-
2 And Jehovah spoke to me, saying,
၂ထိုအခါထာဝရဘုရားကငါ့အား၊
3 Ye have encompassed this mountain long enough, turn northward.
၃`သင်တို့သည်ထိုတောင်ကုန်းဒေသတွင်ကြာ မြင့်စွာလှည့်လည်ခဲ့ကြပြီ၊ မြောက်ဘက်သို့ ခရီးထွက်ကြလော့' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the border of your brothers the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, and they will be afraid of you. Take ye good heed to yourselves therefore.
၄ထို့နောက်ကိုယ်တော်သည် ငါမှတစ်ဆင့်သင်တို့ အားဆင့်ဆိုသည်မှာ`သင်တို့သည်သင်တို့၏ ဆွေမျိုးသားချင်းများဖြစ်သော ဧသော၏ အဆက်အနွယ်များနေထိုင်ရာဧဒုံပြည်ကို ဖြတ်သန်းသွားရတော့မည်။ သူတို့သည်သင် တို့ကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါသည်သူတို့ ၏မြေတစ်လက်မကိုမျှသင်တို့အားပေး မည်မဟုတ်သောကြောင့်၊-
5 Do not contend with them, for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
၅သူတို့ကိုမတိုက်ခိုက်နှင့်။ ငါသည်ဧဒုံပြည် ကိုဧသော၏အဆက်အနွယ်တို့အားအပိုင် ပေးထားပြီ။-
6 Ye shall purchase food from them for money, that ye may eat, and ye shall also buy water from them for money, that ye may drink.
၆သူတို့ထံမှအစာရေစာကိုဝယ်ယူစားသုံး လော့' ဟုညွှန်ကြားတော်မူသည်။''
7 For Jehovah thy God has blessed thee in all the work of thy hand. He has known thy walking through this great wilderness. These forty years Jehovah thy God has been with thee; thou have lacked nothing.
၇``သင်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တို့ပြုခဲ့လေသမျှကိုအဘယ်သို့ကောင်း ချီးပေးတော်မူခဲ့သည်ကို သတိရကြလော့။ ဤကျယ်ပြန့်သောတောကန္တာရကိုလှည့်လည်ဖြတ် သန်းရာခရီး၌ သင်တို့ကိုစောင့်ရှောက်တော်မူ ခဲ့ပြီ။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်နှစ်ပေါင်းလေးဆယ်ပတ် လုံးသင်တို့နှင့်အတူရှိတော်မူသဖြင့် သင် တို့လိုအပ်သမျှကိုရရှိခဲ့ကြပြီ။''
8 So we passed by from our brothers the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion-geber. And we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
၈``သို့ဖြစ်၍ငါတို့သည်ဧလပ်မြို့နှင့်ဧဇ ယုန်ဂါဗာမြို့များမှပင်လယ်သေသို့သွား ရာလမ်းမှခွဲထွက်၍ အရှေ့မြောက်ရှိမောဘ ပြည်သို့သွားသောတောကန္တာရလမ်းသို့ခရီး ဆက်ကြသည်။-
9 And Jehovah said to me, Do not vex Moab, neither contend with them in battle, for I will not give thee of his land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the sons of Lot for a possession.
၉ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ငါ့အား`လောတ၏အဆက် အနွယ်များဖြစ်သောမောဘပြည်သားတို့ကို မနှောင့်ယှက်ကြနှင့်။ စစ်မတိုက်နှင့်။ ငါသည် သူတို့အားအာရမြို့ကိုအပိုင်ပေးထားပြီ ဖြစ်၍သူတို့၏မြေကိုသင်တို့အားငါမပေး' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။''
10 (The Emim dwelt in it formerly, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim.
၁၀(အာရမြို့တွင်ယခင်အခါက အလွန်ထွား ကြိုင်း၍ခွန်အားကြီးသောဧမိမ်လူမျိုးနေ ထိုင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။-
11 These also are accounted Rephaim, as the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim.
၁၁သူတို့သည်ထွားကြိုင်းသောအာနကလူကဲ့ သို့ အရပ်အမောင်းမြင့်မားသည်။ အာနကလူ အမျိုးကဲ့သို့သူတို့ကို ရီဖိမ်လူမျိုးဟူ၍ လည်းခေါ်တွင်ကြသည်။ သို့ရာတွင်မောဘ အမျိုးသားတို့က သူတို့အားဧမိမ်လူ မျိုးဟူ၍ခေါ်ကြသည်။-
12 The Horites also dwelt in Seir formerly, but the sons of Esau succeeded them. And they destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead, as Israel did to the land of his possession, which Jehovah gave to them.)
၁၂ရှေးအခါကဧဒုံပြည်တွင်ဟောရိအမျိုး သားတို့နေထိုင်ခဲ့ကြသော်လည်း နောင်အခါ ၌ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ထာဝရ ဘုရားပေးတော်မူသောပြည်မှ ရန်သူများ ကိုမောင်းထုတ်သကဲ့သို့ ဧသော၏အဆက် အနွယ်တို့သည်ထိုသူတို့ကိုမောင်းထုတ် ပြီးလျှင် ထိုအရပ်၌အခြေချနေထိုင် ကြသည်။)
13 Now rise up, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.
၁၃``ထို့နောက်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်မှာတော် မူသည့်အတိုင်း ငါတို့သည်ဇေရက်မြစ် ကိုဖြတ်ကူးကြ၏။-
14 And the days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we came over the brook Zered, were thirty-eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as Jehovah swore to them.
၁၄ကာဒေရှဗာနာအရပ်မှဇေရက်မြစ်ကိုကူး သည်အထိ နှစ်ပေါင်းသုံးဆယ်ရှစ်နှစ်ကြာခဲ့ သည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည့်အတိုင်း ထိုလူမျိုးဆက်မှစစ်သူရဲအပေါင်းတို့ သည်ကွယ်လွန်ကြလေပြီ။-
15 Moreover the hand of Jehovah was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.
၁၅သူတို့အားတစ်ယောက်မကျန်သေကြေပျက် စီးစေရန် ထာဝရဘုရား၏လက်ရုံးတော် သည်သူတို့တစ်ဘက်၌ရှိတော်မူ၏။''
16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
၁၆``စစ်သူရဲအပေါင်းတို့သေဆုံးကုန်ပြီးနောက်၊
17 that Jehovah spoke to me, saying,
၁၇ထာဝရဘုရားက၊-
18 Thou are this day to pass over Ar, the border of Moab.
၁၈`ယနေ့တွင်သင်တို့သည် အာရမြို့သို့သွားရာ လမ်းဖြင့် မောဘပြည်ကိုဖြတ်သွားရမည်။-
19 And when thou come near opposite the sons of Ammon, do not vex them, nor contend with them, for I will not give thee of the land of the sons of Ammon for a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.
၁၉သင်တို့သည်လောတ၏အဆက်အနွယ်များ ဖြစ်သော အမ္မုန်အမျိုးသားတို့နေထိုင်ရာပြည် အနီးသို့ရောက်ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ ငါသည်သူ တို့အားပေးထားတော်မူသောပြည်ကို သင် တို့ကိုပေးမည်မဟုတ်သောကြောင့်သူတို့ကို မနှောင့်ယှက်နှင့်၊ စစ်မတိုက်နှင့်' ဟုမိန့်တော် မူ၏။''
20 (That also is accounted a land of Rephaim. Rephaim dwelt in it formerly, but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,
၂၀(ယခင်အခါကရီဖိမ်လူမျိုးနေထိုင်ခဲ့သဖြင့် ထိုပြည်ကိုရီဖိမ်ပြည်ဟူ၍ခေါ်တွင်သည်။ အမ္မုန် အမျိုးသားတို့ကသူတို့ကိုဇံဇုမ္မိမ်ဟူ၍ခေါ် ကြသည်။-
21 a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim. But Jehovah destroyed them before them, and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead,
၂၁သူတို့သည်အာနကလူမျိုးကဲ့သို့အရပ် အမောင်းမြင့်မားသည်။ သူတို့သည်လူဦးရေ များပြား၍ အင်အားကြီးမားသောလူမျိုး ဖြစ်သည်။ သို့ရာတွင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သူတို့အားဖယ်ရှားလိုက်သဖြင့် အမ္မုန်အမျိုး သားတို့ကသူတို့၏ပြည်ကိုသိမ်းပိုက်၍ အခြေချနေထိုင်ကြသည်။-
22 as he did for the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them. And they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even to this day.
၂၂ကိုယ်တော်သည်ဧဒုံတောင်ကုန်းဒေသတွင် နေ ထိုင်သောဧသော၏အဆက်အနွယ်များဖြစ် သည့်ဧဒုံအမျိုးသားတို့အတွက်လည်း ထို နည်းတူပြုတော်မူခဲ့သည်။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဟောရိအမျိုးသားများကိုဖယ်ရှားလိုက် သဖြင့် ဧဒုံအမျိုးသားတို့သည်ထိုသူ တို့၏ပြည်ကိုသိမ်းပိုက်၍ ယနေ့တိုင်အောင် ထိုပြည်၌အခြေချနေထိုင်လျက်ရှိ ကြသည်။-
23 And the Avvim, who dwelt in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorim, who came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)
၂၃ကရေတေကျွန်းသားတို့သည်မြေထဲ ပင်လယ်ကမ်းခြေတွင် အခြေချနေထိုင် ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်မူလနေထိုင်သူအာဝိမ် လူမျိုးကိုသုတ်သင်ဖယ်ရှားပြီးလျှင် သူ တို့၏ပြည်ကိုတောင်ဘက်ဂါဇာမြို့အထိ သိမ်းပိုက်လိုက်ကြသည်။)
24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon. Behold, I have given into thy hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
၂၄``ထာဝရဘုရားက`ယခုခရီးစထွက်၍ အာနုန်မြစ်ကိုကူးကြလော့။ ငါသည်ဟေရှ ဘုန်ဘုရင်အာမောရိအမျိုးသားရှိဟုန်နှင့် တကွ သူ၏တိုင်းပြည်ကိုသင်တို့၏လက်သို့ အပ်မည်။ သူ၏နယ်မြေကိုသိမ်းပိုက်ရန်စတင် ချီတက်တိုက်ခိုက်လော့။-
25 This day I will begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the peoples who are under the whole heaven, who shall hear the report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.
၂၅ယနေ့တွင်အရပ်ရပ်ရှိလူအပေါင်းတို့သည် သင်တို့ကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ထိတ်လန့်စေရန်ငါစီရင် မည်။ သင်တို့နာမည်ကိုကြားရရုံမျှနှင့် လူ တိုင်းကြောက်ရွံ့တုန်လှုပ်ကြလိမ့်မည်' ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။''
26 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
၂၆``ထို့နောက်ငါသည်ကေဒမုတ်တောကန္တာရမှ ဟေရှဘုန်ဘုရင်ရှိဟုန်ထံသို့ သံတမန်တို့ ကိုစေလွှတ်လျက်၊-
27 Let me pass through thy land. I will go along by the highway, I will turn neither to the right hand nor to the left.
၂၇`ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား သင်၏ပြည်ကိုဖြတ်သန်းခွင့်ပေး လော့။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် မင်းကြီး၏ပြည်ကိုလမ်းမ ကြီးအတိုင်းသာဖြတ်သန်းသွားပါမည်။-
28 Thou shall sell me food for money, that I may eat, and give me water for money, that I may drink. Only let me pass through on my feet,
၂၈ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အစာရေစာကိုဝယ်ယူစားသုံး ပါမည်။ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ပေးတော်မူသောပြည်သို့ရောက်ရန် ယော်ဒန်မြစ် ကိုမကူးမီမင်းကြီး၏တိုင်းပြည်ကိုဖြတ်သန်း ရုံဖြတ်သန်းခွင့်ပေးပါလော့။ ဧဒုံပြည်တွင်နေထိုင် သောဧသော၏အဆက်အနွယ်တို့သည်လည်း ကောင်း၊ အာရပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်သောမောဘ အမျိုးသားတို့သည်လည်းကောင်း ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အားသူတို့၏ပြည်ကိုဖြတ်သန်းခွင့်ပေးခဲ့ ကြပါသည်' ဟူ၍ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးစကားကမ်း လှမ်းခဲ့သည်။''
29 as the sons of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me, until I shall pass over the Jordan into the land which Jehovah our God gives us.
၂၉
30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him, for Jehovah thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as at this day.
၃၀``သို့သော်လည်းရှိဟုန်ဘုရင်သည် ငါတို့အား သူ၏ပြည်ကိုဖြတ်သန်းခွင့်မပေး။ သင်တို့၏ ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ထိုမင်း ကိုခေါင်းမာစေတော်မူသဖြင့် ငါတို့သည်သူ့ ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်အောင်မြင်၍ သူ၏ပြည်ကိုသိမ်း ပိုက်ကာယနေ့တိုင်နေထိုင်လျက်ရှိကြသည်။''
31 And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before thee. Begin to possess, that thou may inherit his land.
၃၁``ထို့နောက်ထာဝရဘုရားက ငါ့အား`ငါသည် ရှိဟုန်ဘုရင်နှင့်သူ၏ပြည်ကိုသင်၏လက်သို့ အပ်တော်မူမည်။ သူ၏ပြည်ကိုသိမ်းယူလော့' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.
၃၂ရှိဟုန်ဘုရင်သည်ငါတို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ရန် သူ ၏စစ်သည်ဗိုလ်ပါအပေါင်းတို့နှင့်ယာဟတ် မြို့အနီးသို့ချီတက်လာကြသည်။-
33 And Jehovah our God delivered him up before us. And we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
၃၃သို့ရာတွင်ငါတို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် ထိုမင်းကိုငါတို့၏လက်သို့အပ် သဖြင့် သူနှင့်သူ၏သားများနှင့်တကွစစ် သည်ဗိုလ်ပါအပေါင်းတို့ကို သတ်ဖြတ်သုတ် သင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။-
34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining.
၃၄ထိုအချိန်၌ပင်ငါတို့သည် သူတို့၏မြို့အား လုံးကိုသိမ်းပိုက်၍ဖျက်ဆီးကြ၏။ ယောကျာ်း၊ မိန်းမနှင့်၊ ကလေးသူငယ်အားလုံးတစ်ယောက် မကျန်သတ်ပစ်ကြ၏။-
35 We only took the cattle for a prey to ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we had taken.
၃၅တိရစ္ဆာန်များနှင့်မြို့များရှိပစ္စည်းများကိုကား သိမ်းယူကြ၏။-
36 From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. Jehovah our God delivered up all before us.
၃၆ငါတို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အာနုန်ချိုင့်ကမ်းပေါ်ရှိအာရော်မြို့နှင့်ချိုင့်လယ် ရှိမြို့မှစ၍ ဂိလဒ်မြို့တိုင်အောင်မြို့ရှိသမျှကို ငါတို့အားသိမ်းပိုက်စေတော်မူ၏။ မည်သည့်မြို့ မှငါတို့ကိုမခုခံနိုင်။-
37 Only to the land of the sons of Ammon thou did not come near, all the side of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill-country, and wherever Jehovah our God forbad us.
၃၇သို့ရာတွင်အမ္မုန်အမျိုးသားတို့ပြည်၊ ယဗ္ဗုတ် မြစ်ကမ်း၊ တောင်ကုန်းဒေသရှိမြို့များနှင့် ငါ တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားကမသွား ရန်တားမြစ်သောအရပ်များသို့ငါတို့မချဉ်း ကပ်ကြ။''
