Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timothy, bondmen of Jesus Christ, to all the sanctified in Jesus Christ who are at Philippi, with the guardians and helpers:
கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் ஊழியர்களான பவுலும், தீமோத்தேயுவும், பிலிப்பி பட்டணத்தில் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் இருக்கும் எல்லாப் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும், அவர்களோடுகூட திருச்சபைத் தலைவர்களுக்கும், உதவி ஊழியர்களுக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.
3 I thank my God upon every memory of you,
நான் உங்களை நினைக்கும் போதெல்லாம், என் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.
4 always in my every entreaty for all of you, making the entreaty with joy
உங்கள் எல்லோருக்காகவும் நான் மன்றாடும் பொழுதெல்லாம், எப்பொழுதும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் மன்றாடுகிறேன்.
5 for your participation in the good news from the first day until now.
ஏனெனில் நான் அங்கே வந்த முதல் நாளிலிருந்து இன்றுவரை, நற்செய்திப் பணியில் நீங்கள் என்னோடு பங்காளர்களாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.
6 Being confident of this same thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
இப்படிப்பட்ட நல்ல செயலை உங்களில் தொடங்கிய இறைவன், அதைக் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் நாள்வரை நடத்தி முடிப்பார் என்று நான் நிச்சயமுடையவனாய் இருக்கிறேன்.
7 Just as it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the good news, you all being partners with me of the grace.
உங்கள் எல்லோரையும்பற்றி, இவ்வாறு நான் நினைப்பது சரியானதே. ஏனெனில் எப்பொழுதும் என் இருதயத்தில் நீங்கள் இடங்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்; நான் சிறையில் இருக்கிறபோதும், நற்செய்தியின் சார்பாகப் பேசி, அதை உறுதிசெய்கிற போதும், நீங்களும் எல்லோரும் இறைவன் எனக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிற கிருபையில், என்னுடன் பங்குடையவர்களாய் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.
8 For God is my witness, how I long for you all in bowels of Jesus Christ.
கிறிஸ்து இயேசு கொண்டிருந்த உருக்கமான அன்போடு, உங்களெல்லோரையும் நான் காண விரும்புகிறேன் என்பதற்கு, இறைவனே சாட்சியாயிருக்கிறார்.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment
என் மன்றாடல் இதுவே: உங்கள் அன்பு மென்மேலும் அறிவாற்றலிலும், ஆழமான நுண்ணறிவிலும் பெருகி வளரவேண்டும்.
10 for you to examine the things that are significant. So that ye may be tested by sunlight and not stumbling toward the day of Christ,
அப்பொழுது மிகச் சிறந்தது எது என்று நிதானித்தறிய உங்களால் முடியும். கிறிஸ்து மீண்டும் வரும் நாள்வரைக்கும் தூய்மையுள்ளவர்களாகவும், குற்றம் காணப்படாதவர்களாகவும்,
11 having been filled with fruits of righteousness, through Jesus Christ, for glory and praise of God.
இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாக வரும் நீதியின் கனிகளில், நிறைவுள்ளவர்களாகவும் நீங்கள் இருப்பீர்கள். அது இறைவனுக்கு மகிமையையும், துதியையும் ஏற்படுத்தும்.
12 But I want you to know, brothers, that the things in respect to me have come more for the advancement of the good news,
பிரியமானவர்களே, எனக்கு நடந்தவைகள் உண்மையிலே நற்செய்தியைப் பரப்புவதற்கு உதவியாக இருந்தது என்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும் என்று நான் விரும்புகிறேன்.
13 in order for my bonds in Christ to become apparent in the whole Praetorium, and in all the others.
ஏனெனில் நான் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காகவே சிறையில் விலங்கிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன் என்பது அரண்மனைக் காவலர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும், மற்றவர்களுக்கும்கூட நன்கு தெளிவாகியிருக்கிறது.
14 And more of the brothers in the Lord have been convinced by my bonds to be much more bold to speak the word fearlessly.
நான் விலங்கிடப்பட்டிருப்பதால், கர்த்தரில் இருக்கிற சகோதரர்களில் அநேகர், பயமின்றியும் தைரியத்துடனும் நற்செய்தியைப் பேசுவதற்கு உற்சாகம் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
15 Actually some even preach the Christ because of envy and strife, and some also because of good-will.
சிலர் பொறாமையினாலும், போட்டி மனப்பான்மையினாலும், கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறார்கள் என்பது உண்மையே. ஆனால் மற்றவர்களோ நல்ல எண்ணத்துடனேயே அதைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.
16 Some indeed proclaim the Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to bring affliction to my bonds.
இவர்கள் அன்புடனே இதைச் செய்கிறார்கள். நான் இங்கே சிறையில் போடப்பட்டிருப்பது, நற்செய்தியின் சார்பாகப் பேசியதற்காகவே என்பதை இவர்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
17 But some from love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the good news.
மற்றவர்களோ உண்மை மனதுடன் அல்லாமல், தன்னல நோக்கத்துடனேயே கிறிஸ்துவை பிரசங்கிக்கிறார்கள். நான் விலங்கிடப்பட்டிருக்கையில், எனக்கு இன்னும் கஷ்டத்தை உண்டாக்கலாம் என்ற எண்ணத்துடனே அவர்கள் இப்படிச் செய்கிறார்கள்.
18 What then? Except in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice, but also I will rejoice.
ஆனால் நோக்கம் எதுவாயிருந்தால் என்ன? தவறான நோக்கத்துடனோ, உண்மையான நோக்கத்துடனோ, எல்லா வழிகளிலும் கிறிஸ்து பிரசங்கிக்கப்படுகிறார் என்பதே முக்கியம். இதனால் நான் பெருமகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன். ஆம், நான் இனிமேலும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவேன்.
19 For I know that this will turn out to me for salvation (through your entreaty, and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ)
ஏனெனில் உங்கள் மன்றாட்டினாலும், இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியானவர் கொடுக்கும் உதவியினாலும், எனக்கு நடந்தவைகள் என் விடுதலைக்கே ஏதுவாகும் என்று அறிவேன்.
20 according to my eager expectation and hope that I will be shamed in nothing. But with all boldness, now as always, Christ will also be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.
நான் எவ்வகையிலும் வெட்கப்படக்கூடாது என்பதும், வாழ்வதாலோ இறப்பதாலோ, இப்பொழுதுபோலவே எப்பொழுதும் கிறிஸ்து என் உடலில் மேன்மைப்படுவதற்கு போதிய அளவு தைரியம் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதும், எனது ஆவலும் எதிர்பார்ப்புமாகும்.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
ஏனெனில், நான் வாழ்வேன் என்றால் அது கிறிஸ்துவுக்காகவேயாகும். சாவது என்றால் அதுவும் எனக்கு இலாபமே.
22 But if to live in flesh, this is fruit of labor to me, then what I will choose I know not.
இந்த உடலில் நான் இன்னும் உயிர் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தால், அது கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் பலனுள்ள வேலையாகும். இப்படியிருந்தும் நான் எதைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வேன்? அது எனக்குத் தெரியாது.
23 And I am constrained by the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, being far better.
இந்த இரண்டுக்குமிடையே நான் சிக்குண்டிருக்கிறேன்: நான் இந்த உடலை விட்டுப்பிரிந்து கிறிஸ்துவுடன் இருக்கவே விரும்புகிறேன். இதுவே மிகச் சிறந்தது;
24 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary because of you.
ஆனால் நான் இந்த உடலில் இருப்பது, அதையும்விட உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் அவசியமாயிருக்கிறது.
25 And having been convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and will continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith.
இதை நான் நம்புகிறபடியால், உங்களுடன் நான் இருப்பேன் என்றும், நீங்கள் உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்காகவும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்காகவும் தொடர்ந்து உழைப்பேன் என்றும் நான் அறிவேன்.
26 So that your pride may abound in Christ Jesus in me because of my presence with you again.
எனவே நான் மீண்டும் உங்களிடம் வருவதானால், என் நிமித்தம் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் உங்களுக்கு இருக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சி உங்களில் நிரம்பிவழியும்.
27 Only be citizens worthy of the good news of the Christ, so that, whether having come and having seen you or being absent, I may hear things about you that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the good news.
என்னதான் நடந்தாலும், கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்திக்கு ஏற்றவிதத்தில் நீங்கள் நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள். அப்பொழுது நான் வந்து உங்களைப் பார்க்கக்கூடியதாய் இருந்தாலும், வரமுடியாதிருந்து உங்களைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டாலும், நீங்கள் நற்செய்தியின் விசுவாசத்திற்காகக் கூடப்போராடி ஒரே மனதுடன் ஒன்றாக நிலைத்து நிற்கிறீர்கள் என்றும்,
28 And not being frightened in anything by those who oppose, which is indeed a sign of destruction to them, but to you of salvation, and this from God.
உங்களை எதிர்க்கிறவர்களுக்கு எவ்வழியிலும் பயப்படாமல் இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்றும் நான் அறியவேண்டும். நீங்கள் பயப்படாமல் இருக்கிறது அவர்கள் அழிந்துபோவதற்கும் நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்கும் ஒரு அடையாளமாக இருக்கும். இது இறைவனின் செயலாகும்.
29 Because to you it was granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,
ஏனெனில் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக அவரில் விசுவாசமாய் இருப்பதற்காக மட்டுமல்ல, அவருக்காகத் துன்பப்படுவதற்காகவும் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு நன்கொடையாக கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
30 having the same conflict such as ye saw in me, and now hear is in me.
நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட, போராட்டத்தைக் கண்டீர்கள். அதே போராட்டம் உங்களுக்கும் ஏற்படுகிறது. அது எனக்கு இன்னும் உண்டு என்பதையும் இப்பொழுது கேள்விப்படுகிறீர்கள்.
