< Isaiah 38 >

1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.’”
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni Hesekiah ṣe àìsàn dé ojú ikú. Wòlíì Isaiah ọmọ Amosi sì lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì wí pé, “Ohun tí Olúwa wí nìyìí: Palẹ̀ ilé è rẹ mọ́, bí ó ti yẹ nítorí pé ìwọ yóò kú; ìwọ kì yóò dìde àìsàn yìí.”
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
Hesekiah yí ojú u rẹ̀ sí ara ògiri, ó sì gba àdúrà sí Olúwa,
3 and said, “Remember now, LORD, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah wept bitterly.
“Rántí, Ìwọ Olúwa, bí mo ti rìn pẹ̀lú òtítọ́ níwájú rẹ, àti bí mo ti fi ọkàn dídúró ṣinṣin ṣe ohun tí ó dára ní ojú ù rẹ.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Hesekiah sì sọkún kíkorò.
4 Then the LORD’s word came to Isaiah, saying,
Lẹ́yìn náà ni ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ Isaiah wá pé,
5 “Go, and tell Hezekiah, ‘The LORD, the God of David your father, says, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.
“Lọ kí o sì sọ fún Hesekiah pé, ‘Ohun tí Olúwa wí nìyìí, Ọlọ́run Dafidi baba rẹ sọ pé, Èmi ti gbọ́ àdúrà rẹ mo sì ti rí omijé rẹ, Èmi yóò fi ọdún mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dógún kún ọjọ́ ayé rẹ.
6 I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
Èmi yóò sì gba ìwọ àti ìlú yìí sílẹ̀ kúrò lọ́wọ́ ọba Asiria. Èmi yóò sì dáàbò bo ìlú yìí.
7 This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he has spoken.
“‘Èyí yìí ni àmì tí Olúwa fún ọ láti fihàn wí pé Olúwa yóò mú ìpinnu rẹ̀ ṣẹ.
8 Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps.”’” So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.
Èmi yóò mú òjìji oòrùn kí ó padà sẹ́yìn ní ìṣísẹ̀ mẹ́wàá nínú èyí tí ó fi sọ̀kalẹ̀ ní ibi àtẹ̀gùn ti Ahasi.’” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni oòrùn padà sẹ́yìn ní ìṣísẹ̀ mẹ́wàá sí ibi tí ó ti dé tẹ́lẹ̀.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered of his sickness:
Ìwé tí Hesekiah ọba Juda kọ lẹ́yìn àìsàn rẹ̀ nígbà tí ó ti gbádùn tán.
10 I said, "In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol (Sheol h7585). I am deprived of the residue of my years."
Èmi wí pé, “Ní àárín gbùngbùn ọjọ́ ayé mi èmi ó ha kọjá lọ ní ibodè ikú kí a sì dùn mí ní àwọn ọdún mi tí ó ṣẹ́kù?” (Sheol h7585)
11 I said, “I will not see the LORD, the LORD in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
Èmi wí pé, “Èmi kì yóò lè tún rí Olúwa mọ́, àní Olúwa, ní ilẹ̀ àwọn alààyè; èmi kì yóò lè síjú wo ọmọ ènìyàn mọ́, tàbí kí n wà pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó sì ń gbe orílẹ̀ ayé báyìí.
12 My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí àgọ́ olùṣọ́-àgùntàn, ilé mi ni a ti wó lulẹ̀ tí a sì gbà kúrò lọ́wọ́ mi. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ahunṣọ mo ti ká ayé mi nílẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni òun sì ti ké mi kúrò lára àṣà; ọ̀sán àti òru ni ìwọ ṣe òpin mi.
13 I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.
Èmi fi sùúrù dúró títí di àfẹ̀mọ́júmọ́, ṣùgbọ́n gẹ́gẹ́ bí kìnnìún ó ti fọ́ gbogbo egungun mi; ọ̀sán àti òru ni ìwọ fi ṣe òpin mi.
14 I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security.”
Èmi dún gẹ́gẹ́ bí àkọ̀ tàbí alápáǹdẹ̀dẹ̀, èmi káàánú gẹ́gẹ́ bí aṣọ̀fọ̀ àdàbà. Ojú mi rẹ̀wẹ̀sì gẹ́gẹ́ bí mo ti ń wo àwọn ọ̀run. Ìdààmú bá mi, Ìwọ Olúwa, wá fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ mi!”
15 What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.
Ṣùgbọ́n kí ni èmi lè sọ? Òun ti bá mi sọ̀rọ̀ àti pé òun tìkára rẹ̀ ló ti ṣe èyí. Èmi yóò máa rìn ní ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ ní gbogbo ọjọ́ mi nítorí ìpọ́njú ẹ̀mí mi yìí.
16 Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them. You restore me, and cause me to live.

17 Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.
Nítòótọ́ fún àlàáfíà ara mi ni, ní ti pé mo ní ìkorò ńlá. Nínú ìfẹ́ rẹ ìwọ pa mí mọ́, kúrò nínú ọ̀gbun ìparun; ìwọ sì ti fi gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi sí ẹ̀yìn rẹ.
18 For Sheol (Sheol h7585) cannot praise you. Death cannot celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for your truth.
Nítorí pé isà òkú kò le è yìn ọ́, ipò òkú kò le è kọ orin ìyìn rẹ; àwọn tí ó sọ̀kalẹ̀ sínú ọ̀gbun kò lè ní ìrètí fún òtítọ́ rẹ. (Sheol h7585)
19 The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do today. The father shall make known your truth to the children.
Alààyè, àwọn alààyè wọ́n ń yìn ọ́, gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi ti ń ṣe lónìí; àwọn baba sọ fún àwọn ọmọ wọn nípa òtítọ́ rẹ.
20 The LORD will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the LORD’s house.
Olúwa yóò gbà mí là bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àwa yóò sì kọrin pẹ̀lú ohun èlò olókùn ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ayé wa nínú tẹmpili ti Olúwa.
21 Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.”
Isaiah ti sọ pé, “Pèsè ìṣù ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ (ohun gbígbóná tí a dì mọ́ ojú egbò) kí o sì fi sí ojú oówo náà, òun yóò sì gbádùn.”
22 Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I will go up to the LORD’s house?”
Hesekiah sì béèrè pé, “Kí ni yóò jẹ́ àmì pé èmi yóò gòkè lọ sí tẹmpili Olúwa?”
