< Jeremiah 30 >

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Dubbiin Waaqayyo biraa gara Ermiyaas dhufe isa kanaa dha:
2 “The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
“Waaqayyo Waaqni Israaʼel akkana jedha: ‘Dubbii ani sitti dubbadhe hunda kitaabatti barreessi.
3 For, behold, the days come,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will reverse the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,’ says the LORD. ‘I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.’”
Barri tokko ni dhufa’ jedha Waaqayyo; ‘Innis yeroo ani itti saba koo Israaʼelii fi Yihuudaa boojuudhaa deebisee biyya ani akka isaan dhaalaniif abbootii isaaniitiif kenne sanatti isaan galchuu dha,’ jedha Waaqayyo.”
4 These are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
Dubbiin Waaqayyo waaʼee Israaʼelii fi Yihuudaa dubbate kanaa dha:
5 For the LORD says: “We have heard a voice of trembling; a voice of fear, and not of peace.
“Waaqayyo akkana jedha: “‘Iyyi sodaa ni dhagaʼama; kun raafama malee nagaa miti.
6 Ask now, and see whether a man travails with child. Why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned pale?
Mee iyyaafadhaa ilaalaa: Dhiirri tokko daʼuu ni dandaʼaa? Yoos ani maaliifan dhiira hunda isaa akkuma dubartii ciniinsifattuu, harka isaa garaa ofii isaa irra kaaʼatee, fuulli isaas akka malee gurraachaʼe arga ree?
7 Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it! It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he will be saved out of it.
Guyyaan sun akkam sodaachisaa taʼa! Guyyaan akka guyyaa sanaa tokko iyyuu hin jiraatu. Guyyaan sun Yaaqoobiif yeroo rakkinaa taʼa; inni garuu rakkina sana keessaa ni baʼa.
8 It will come to pass in that day, says the LORD of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds. Strangers will no more make them their bondservants;
“‘Guyyaa sana’ jedha Waaqayyoo Waan Hunda Dandaʼu, ‘Ani morma isaanii irraa waanjoo nan cabsa; hidhaa isaanii illee nan kukkuta; ergasii namoonni biyya ormaa isaan hin garboomfatan.
9 but they will serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
Qooda kanaa isaan Waaqayyo Waaqa isaaniitii fi Daawit mootii isaanii isa ani isaaniif kaasu ni tajaajilu.
10 Therefore do not be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says the LORD. Do not be dismayed, Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and save your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.
“‘Kanaafuu yaa tajaajilaa koo Yaaqoob, ati hin sodaatin; yaa Israaʼel hin rifatin’ jedha Waaqayyo. ‘Ani dhugumaan biyya fagootii sin baasa, sanyiiwwan kee immoo biyya isaan boojiʼamanii itti geeffamanii nan baasa. Yaaqoob ammas nagaa fi tasgabbii ni qabaata; namni isa sodaachisu tokko iyyuu hin jiru.
11 For I am with you, says the LORD, to save you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”
Ani si baasuuf si wajjinan jiraatii’ jedha Waaqayyo; ‘Ani sabootan gidduu isaaniitti si bittinneesse sana guutumaan guutuutti barbadeessu iyyuu siʼi garuu guutumaan guutuutti hin barbadeessu. Ani karaa sirrii taʼeen sin adaba; utuu si hin adabin akkasumatti si hin dhiisu.’
12 For the LORD says, “Your hurt is incurable. Your wound is grievous.
“Waaqayyo akkana jedha: “‘Madaan kee hin fayyu; miidhamni kee waldhaansa hin qabu.
13 There is no one to plead your cause, that you may be bound up. You have no healing medicines.
Namni siif falmu tokko iyyuu hin jiru; madaa keetiif qorichi hin jiru; ati hin fayyitu.
14 All your lovers have forgotten you. They do not seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.
Michoonni kee hundi si dagataniiru; isaan dhimma kee hin qaban. Sababii yakki kee akka malee guddaa taʼee cubbuun kees baayʼateef ani akkuma diinaatti si dhaʼee akkuma nama garaa jabaatu tokkoottis si adabeera.
15 Why do you cry over your injury? Your pain is incurable. For the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you.
Ati maaliif madaa keetii fi dhukkuba kee kan hin fayyine sanaaf iyyita? Sababii yakki kee guddatee cubbuun kees baayʼateef, ani wantoota kanneen sitti fideera.
16 Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured. All your adversaries, everyone of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plunder. I will make all who prey on you become prey.
“‘Warri si nyaatan hundi garuu ni nyaatamu; diinonni kee hundis boojuudhaan ni fudhatamu. Warri qabeenya kee boojiʼan ni boojiʼamu; warri si saaman hundis ni saamamu.
17 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says the LORD, “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’”
Ani garuu fayyaa kee siifin deebisa; madaa kees siif nan fayyisa’ jedha Waaqayyo. ‘Ati Xiyoon gatamtuu kan namni tokko iyyuu dhimma ishee hin qabne jedhamteertaatii.’
18 The LORD says: “Behold, I will reverse the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places. The city will be built on its own hill, and the palace will be inhabited in its own place.
“Waaqayyo akkana jedha: “‘Ani hambaa dunkaana Yaaqoob kan boojiʼamee deebisee nan dhaaba; iddoo jireenya isaaniitiifis garaa nan laafa; magaalattiin idduma diigamte sanatti deebitee ni ijaaramti; masaraanis iddoo isaaf malu ni dhaabata.
19 Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.
Faarfannaan galataatii fi sagaleen gammachuu isaan keessaa ni dhagaʼama. Ani isaan nan baayʼisa; isaaniis hin xinnaatan; ani ulfina nan kennaaf; isaanis hin tuffataman.
20 Their children also will be as before, and their congregation will be established before me. I will punish all who oppress them.
Ijoolleen isaanii akka warra jabana durii taʼu; waldaan isaaniis jabaatee fuula koo dura ni dhaabata; ani warra isaan cunqursu hunda nan adaba.
21 Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from among them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says the LORD.
Hoogganaan isaanii namuma isaanii taʼa; bulchaan isaanii isaanuma gidduudhaa kaʼa. Ani isa ofitti nan dhiʼeessa; innis natti dhiʼaata; yoo kanaa achii eenyutu natti dhiʼaachuuf ija jabaata?’ jedha Waaqayyo.
22 “You shall be my people, and I will be your God.
‘Akkasiin isin saba koo ni taatu; anis Waaqa keessan nan taʼa.’”
23 Behold, the LORD’s storm, his wrath, has gone out, a sweeping storm; it will burst on the head of the wicked.
Kunoo, bubbeen Waaqayyoo, inni jabaan dheekkamsaan ni buʼa; bubbeen hamaanis mataa hamootaa irratti gad bubbisa.
24 The fierce anger of the LORD will not return until he has accomplished, and until he has performed the intentions of his heart. In the latter days you will understand it.”
Aariin Waaqayyoo, sodaachisaan sun hamma inni kaayyoo yaada isaa guutumaan guutuutti fiixaan baasutti duubatti hin deebiʼu. Isin bara dhumaa keessa waan kana ni hubattu.
