Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, Or in things too wonderful for me.

१दाऊद की यात्रा का गीत हे यहोवा, न तो मेरा मन गर्व से और न मेरी दृष्टि घमण्ड से भरी है; और जो बातें बड़ी और मेरे लिये अधिक कठिन हैं, उनसे मैं काम नहीं रखता।

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

२निश्चय मैंने अपने मन को शान्त और चुप कर दिया है, जैसे दूध छुड़ाया हुआ बच्चा अपनी माँ की गोद में रहता है, वैसे ही दूध छुड़ाए हुए बच्चे के समान मेरा मन भी रहता है।

3 O Israel, hope in Jehovah From this time forth and for evermore.

३हे इस्राएल, अब से लेकर सदा सर्वदा यहोवा ही पर आशा लगाए रह!
