Isaiah 26

1 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation is established as its walls and ramparts.

അന്നാളിൽ അവർ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തു ഈ പാട്ടു പാടും: നമുക്കു ബലമുള്ളോരു പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ രക്ഷയെ മതിലുകളും കൊത്തളങ്ങളും ആക്കി വെക്കുന്നു.

2 Open the gates so a righteous nation may enter— one that remains faithful.

വിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കുന്ന നീതിയുള്ള ജാതി പ്രവേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വാതിലുകളെ തുറപ്പിൻ.

3 You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast of mind, because he trusts in You.

സ്ഥിരമാനസൻ നിന്നിൽ ആശ്രയം വെച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ അവനെ പൂൎണ്ണസമാധാനത്തിൽ കാക്കുന്നു.

4 Trust in the LORD forever, because GOD the LORD is the Rock eternal.

യഹോവയാം യാഹിൽ ശാശ്വതമായോരു പാറ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ യഹോവയിൽ എന്നേക്കും ആശ്രയിപ്പിൻ.

5 For He has humbled those who dwell on high; He lays the lofty city low. He brings it down to the ground; He casts it into the dust.

അവൻ ഉയരത്തിൽ പാൎക്കുന്നവരെ ഉന്നതനഗരത്തെതന്നേ താഴ്ത്തി തള്ളിയിട്ടു നിലംപരിചാക്കി പൊടിയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 Feet trample it down— the feet of the oppressed, the steps of the poor.

കാൽ അതിനെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും; എളിയവരുടെ കാലുകളും ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ കാലടികളും തന്നേ.

7 The path of the righteous is level; You clear a straight path for the upright.

നീതിമാന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതാകുന്നു; നീ നീതിമാന്റെ പാതയെ ചൊവ്വായി നിരത്തുന്നു.

8 Yes, we wait for You, O LORD; we walk in the path of Your judgments. Your name and renown are the desire of our souls.

അതേ, യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികളുടെ പാതയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായിട്ടും നിന്റെ സ്മരണക്കായിട്ടും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളം വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

9 My soul longs for You in the night; indeed, my spirit seeks You at dawn. For when Your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

എന്റെ ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ രാത്രിയിൽ നിന്നെ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ ഞാൻ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കും; നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ഭൂവാസികൾ നീതിയെ പഠിക്കും.

10 Though grace is shown to the wicked man, he does not learn righteousness. In the land of righteousness he acts unjustly and fails to see the majesty of the LORD.

ദുഷ്ടന്നു കൃപ കാണിച്ചാലും അവൻ നീതി പഠിക്കയില്ല; നേരുള്ള ദേശത്തു അവൻ അന്യായം പ്രവൎത്തിക്കും; യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം അവൻ കാണുകയുമില്ല.

11 O LORD, Your hand is upraised, but they do not see it. They will see Your zeal for Your people and be put to shame. The fire set for Your enemies will consume them!

യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ കൈ ഉയൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരോ കാണുന്നില്ല; എങ്കിലും ജനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള നിന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണത അവർ കണ്ടു ലജ്ജിക്കും; നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീ അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

12 O LORD, You will establish peace for us. For all that we have accomplished, You have done for us.

യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടു സമാധാനം നിയമിക്കും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും നീ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി നിവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

13 O LORD our God, other lords besides You have had dominion, but Your name alone do we confess.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീയല്ലാതെ വേറെ കർത്താക്കന്മാർ ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ കൎത്തൃത്വം നടത്തീട്ടുണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ നിന്നെ മാത്രം, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ തന്നേ, ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു.

14 The dead will not live; the departed spirits will not rise. Therefore You have punished and destroyed them; You have wiped out all memory of them.

മരിച്ചവർ ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല; മൃതന്മാർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നില്ല; അതിന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ നീ അവരെ സന്ദൎശിച്ചു സംഹരിക്കയും അവരുടെ ഓൎമ്മയെ അശേഷം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതു.

15 You have enlarged the nation, O LORD; You have enlarged the nation. You have gained glory for Yourself; You have extended all the borders of the land.

നീ ജനത്തെ വൎദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹോവേ, ജനത്തെ നീ വൎദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു; നീ മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരുകളെയെല്ലാം നീ വിസ്താരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16 O LORD, they sought You in their distress; when You disciplined them, they poured out a quiet prayer.

യഹോവേ, കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ നിന്നെ നോക്കുകയും നിന്റെ ശിക്ഷ അവൎക്കു തട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ജപം കഴിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

17 As a woman with child about to give birth writhes and cries out in pain, so were we in Your presence, O LORD.

യഹോവേ, പ്രസവം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ഗൎഭണി നോവുകിട്ടി തന്റെ വേദനയിൽ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ആയിരുന്നു.

18 We were with child; we writhed in pain; but we gave birth to wind. We have given no salvation to the earth, nor brought any life into the world.

ഞങ്ങൾ ഗൎഭം ധരിച്ചു നോവുകിട്ടി പ്രസവിച്ചാറെ, കാറ്റിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇരുന്നു; ദേശത്തു ഒരു രക്ഷയും ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഭൂവാസികൾ പിറന്നുവീണതുമില്ല.

19 Your dead will live; their bodies will rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust! For your dew is like the dew of the morning, and the earth will bring forth her dead.

നിന്റെ മൃതന്മാർ ജീവിക്കും; എന്റെ ശവങ്ങൾ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും; പൊടിയിൽ കിടക്കുന്നവരേ, ഉണൎന്നു ഘോഷിപ്പിൻ; നിന്റെ മഞ്ഞു പ്രഭാതത്തിലെ മഞ്ഞുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമി പ്രേതന്മാരെ പ്രസവിക്കുമല്ലോ.

20 Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourselves a little while until the wrath has passed.

എന്റെ ജനമേ, വന്നു നിന്റെ അറകളിൽ കടന്നു വാതിലുകളെ അടെക്ക; ക്രോധം കടന്നുപോകുവോളം അല്പനേരത്തേക്കു ഒളിച്ചിരിക്ക.

21 For behold, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will reveal her bloodshed and will no longer conceal her slain.

യഹോവ ഭൂവാസികളെ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം സന്ദൎശിപ്പാൻ തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു ഇതാ, വരുന്നു. ഭൂമി താൻ കുടിച്ച രക്തം ഒക്കെയും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും; തന്നിലുള്ള ഹതന്മാരെ ഇനി മൂടിവെക്കയുമില്ല.
