< Psalms 71 >

1 By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in you: let me never be put to shame.
Awurade, wo mu na maguan ahintaw; mma mʼanim ngu ase da.
2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline your ear to me, and save me.
Wo trenee no nti, yi me na gye me; tie me na gye me nkwa.
3 Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for you are my fortress and my refuge.
Yɛ me nkwagye botan, faako a metumi akɔ daa; hyɛ ma wommegye me nkwa, na wone me botan ne mʼabandennen.
4 Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.
Me Nyankopɔn, gye me fi amumɔyɛfo nsam, gye me fi nnebɔneyɛfo ne atirimɔdenfo nsam.
5 For you are my support, O Lord; O Lord, [you are] my hope from my youth.
Na woayɛ mʼanidaso, Asafo Awurade, mʼahotoso fi me mmabun bere mu.
6 On you have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother you are my protector: of you is my praise continually.
Mede me ho ato wo so fi awo mu; wo na wuyii me fii me na yafunu mu. Mɛkamfo wo daa.
7 I am become as it were a wonder to many: but you are [my] strong helper.
Mayɛ nsɛnkyerɛnne ama bebree, nanso wo ne me guankɔbea dennen.
8 Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn your glory, [and] your majesty all the day.
Wo nkamfo ahyɛ mʼanom ma, mekamfo wʼanuonyam da mu nyinaa.
9 Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
Ntow me nkyene bere a mabɔ akwakoraa; mʼahoɔden sa wɔ me mu a, nnyaw me.
10 For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,
Efisɛ mʼatamfo kasa tia me wɔn a wɔtwɛn sɛ wobekum me no bɔ mu pam me ti so.
11 saying, God has forsaken him: persecute you and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].
Wɔka se, “Onyankopɔn agyaw no mu; momma yentiw no na yɛnkyere no, na obiara nni hɔ a obegye no.”
12 O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw near to my help.
Me Nyankopɔn, mfi me nkyɛn nkɔ akyiri; Onyankopɔn, yɛ ntɛm bɛboa me.
13 Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonour.
Ma wɔn a wɔbɔ me sobo no nsɛe wɔ animguase mu; wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wopira me no ma ahohora ne animguase nkata wɔn so.
14 But I will hope continually, and will praise you more and more.
Nanso me de, menya anidaso daa; mɛkɔ so akamfo wo.
15 My mouth shall declare your righteousness openly, [and] your salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].
Mɛka wo trenee ho asɛm, ne wo nkwagye da mu nyinaa, nanso minnim ano.
16 I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of your righteousness only.
Otumfo Awurade, mɛba abɛpae mu aka wo nnwuma akɛse no; mɛpae mu aka wo trenee, wo nko ara de no, akyerɛ.
17 O God, you have taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare your wonders;
Onyankopɔn, efi me mmabun bere na wokyerɛkyerɛɛ me, na ebesi nnɛ yi meka wʼanwonwade a woayɛ kyerɛ.
18 even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared your arm to all the generation that is to come:
Mpo sɛ mebɔ akwakoraa na mifuw dwen a, Onyankopɔn, nnyaw me, kosi sɛ mɛka wo tumi ho asɛm akyerɛ nkyirimma, ne wo kɛseyɛ akyerɛ wɔn a wɔbɛba nyinaa.
19 even your power and your righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which you has done: O God, who is like to you?
Onyankopɔn, wo trenee du ɔsorosoro, wo a woayɛ nneɛma akɛse. Onyankopɔn, hena na ɔte sɛ wo?
20 What afflictions many and sore have you showed me! yet you did turn and quicken me, and brought me again from the depths of the earth.
Mmom woama mahu ɔhaw bebree a ɛyɛ yaw; nanso wobɛma me nkwa bio; na wubeyi me bio, afi asase yam.
21 You did multiply your righteousness, and did turn and comfort me, and brought me again out of the depths of the earth.
Wobɛhyɛ me anuonyam bebree na woakyekye me werɛ bio.
22 I will also therefore give thanks to you, O God, [because of] your truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to you on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
Mede sanku bɛkamfo wo me Nyankopɔn, wo trenee nti mɛto wʼayeyi dwom wɔ sankuten so, Israel Kronkronni.
23 My lips shall rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.
Mʼanofafa de anigye bɛteɛ mu bere a meto dwom kamfo wo, me a woagye me no.
24 Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon your righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
Me tɛkrɛma bɛka wo trenee nnwuma da mu nyinaa, efisɛ wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔhaw me no kɔ animguase ne basaayɛ mu.
