1 Chronicles 25

1 Then David and the magistrates of the army set apart, for the ministry, the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps and psalteries and cymbals, in accord with their number, having been dedicated to their appointed office.

Och David jämte härhövitsmännen avskilde till tjänstgöring Asafs, Hemans och Jedutuns söner, som hade profetisk anda till att spela på harpor, psaltare och cymbaler. Och detta är förteckningen på dem, på de män som fingo denna tjänstgöring till åliggande.

2 From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, prophesying beside the king.

Av Asafs söner: Sackur, Josef, Netanja och Asarela, Asafs söner, under ledning av Asaf, som hade profetisk anda till att spela, under konungens ledning.

3 Then of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, and Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hand of their father Jeduthun, who was prophesying with stringed instruments, while confessing and praising the Lord.

Av Jedutun: Jedutuns söner Gedalja, Seri, Jesaja, Hasabja och Mattitja, tillsammans sex, med harpor, under ledning av sin fader Jedutun, som hade profetisk anda till att spela tack- och lovsånger till HERREN.

4 Also, of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, and Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

Av Heman: Hemans söner Buckia, Mattanja, Ussiel, Sebuel och Jerimot, Hananja, Hanani, Eliata, Giddalti och Romamti-Eser, Josbekasa, Malloti, Hotir, Mahasiot.

5 All these were the sons of Heman, the seer of the king in the words of God, in order to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

Alla dessa voro söner till Heman, som var konungens siare, enligt det löfte Gud hade givit, att han ville upphöja hans horn; därför gav Gud Heman fjorton söner och tre döttrar.

6 All these, under their father’s hand, were distributed in order to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, in the ministry of the house of the Lord beside the king, specifically, Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

Alla dessa stodo var och en under sin faders ledning, när de utförde sången i HERRENS hus till cymbaler, psaltare och harpor och så gjorde tjänst i Guds hus; de stodo under konungens, Asafs, Jedutuns och Hemans ledning.

7 Now the number of these, with their brothers, who were instructing in the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred eighty-eight.

Och antalet av dem jämte deras bröder, av dem som hade blivit undervisade i sången till HERREN ära, alla de däri kunniga, utgjorde två hundra åttioåtta.

8 And they cast lots in their turns, the elder equally with the younger, the learned together with the unlearned.

Och de kastade lott om tjänstgöringen, alla, den minste likasåväl som den störste, den kunnige jämte lärjungen.

9 And the first lot went forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph; the second went forth to Gedaliah, to him and his sons and his brothers, twelve.

Den första lotten kom ut för Asaf och föll på Josef; den andre blev Gedalja, han själv med sina bröder och söner, tillsammans tolv;

10 The third went to Zaccur, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den tredje blev Sackur, med sin söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv

11 The fourth went to Izri, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den fjärde lotten kom ut för Jisri, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

12 The fifth went to Nethaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den femte blev Netanja, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

13 The sixth went to Bukkiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den sjätte blev Buckia, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

14 The seventh went to Jesharelah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den sjunde blev Jesarela, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

15 The eighth went to Jeshaiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den åttonde blev Jesaja, med sin söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv

16 The ninth went to Mattaniah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den nionde blev Mattanja, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

17 The tenth went to Shimei, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den tionde blev Simei, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv

18 The eleventh went to Azarel, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den elfte blev Asarel, med sin söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv

19 The twelfth went to Hashabiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den tolfte lotten kom ut för Hasabja, med hans söner och bröder tillsammans tolv;

20 The thirteenth went to Shubael, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den trettonde blev Subael, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

21 The fourteenth went to Mattithiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den fjortonde blev Mattitja, med sina söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

22 The fifteenth went to Jeremoth, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den femtonde lotten kom ut för Jeremot, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

23 The sixteenth went to Hananiah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den sextonde för Hananja, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

24 The seventeenth went to Joshbekashah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den sjuttonde för Josbekasa, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

25 The eighteenth went to Hanani, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den adertonde för Hanani, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

26 The nineteenth went to Mallothi, to his sons and his brothers, twelve.

den nittonde för Malloti, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

27 The twentieth went to Eliathah, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den tjugonde för Elijata, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

28 The twenty-first went to Hothir, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

den tjuguförsta för Hotir, med hans söner och bröder, tillsammans tolv;

29 The twenty-second went to Giddalti, to his sons and brothers, twelve.

30 The twenty-third went to Mahazioth, to his sons and brothers, twelve.
