Joel 3
1 For, behold, in those days and in that time, when I will have converted the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
Denn siehe, in jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit, wenn ich die Gefangenschaft Judas und Jerusalems wenden werde,
2 I will gather all the Gentiles, and will lead them into the valley of Jehoshaphat. And there I will dispute with them over my people, and over Israel, my inheritance, for they have scattered them among the nations and have divided my land.
dann werde ich alle Nationen versammeln und sie in das Tal [Eig. in die Talebene] Josaphat [bedeutet: Jehova hat gerichtet] hinabführen; und ich werde daselbst mit ihnen rechten über mein Volk und mein Erbteil Israel, welches sie unter die Nationen zerstreut haben;
3 And they have cast lots over my people; and the boy they have placed in the brothel, and the girl they have sold for wine, so that they might drink.
und mein Land haben sie geteilt, und über mein Volk das Los geworfen; und den Knaben haben sie um eine Hure gegeben, und das Mädchen um Wein verkauft, den sie getrunken haben. -
4 Truly, what is there between you and me, Tyre and Sidon and all the distant places of the Philistines? How will you take vengeance on me? And if you were to revenge yourselves against me, I would deliver a repayment to you, quickly and soon, upon your head.
Und auch ihr, was wollt ihr mir, Tyrus und Zidon und alle ihr Bezirke Philistäas? Wollt ihr mir eine Tat vergelten, oder wollt ihr mir etwas antun? Schnell, eilends werde ich euer Tun auf euren Kopf zurückbringen,
5 For you have carried away my silver and gold. And my desirable and most beautiful, you have taken into your shrines.
daß ihr mein Silber und mein Gold weggenommen und meine besten Kleinode in eure Tempel [Zugleich: Paläste] gebracht,
6 And you, sons of Judah and sons of Jerusalem, you have sold the sons of the Greeks, so that you might drive them far from their own territory.
und die Kinder Judas und die Kinder Jerusalems den Kindern der Griechen verkauft habt, um sie weit von ihrer Grenze zu entfernen.
7 Behold, I will raise them up from the place into which you have sold them, and I will turn back your retribution on your own head.
Siehe, ich will sie erwecken [Eig. aufregen, antreiben; so auch v 9] von dem Orte, wohin ihr sie verkauft habt, und will euer Tun auf euren Kopf zurückbringen.
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, a distant nation, for the Lord has spoken.
Und ich werde eure Söhne und eure Töchter in die Hand der Kinder Judas verkaufen; und diese werden sie an die Sabäer [ein Handelsvolk im Glücklichen Arabien] verkaufen, an eine ferne Nation; denn Jehova hat geredet.
9 Proclaim this among the Gentiles: “Sanctify a war, raise up the strong. Approach, ascend, all men of war.
Rufet dieses aus unter den Nationen, heiliget einen Krieg [S. die Anm. zu Jer. 6,4,] erwecket die Helden; es sollen herankommen und heraufziehen alle Kriegsmänner!
10 Cut your ploughs into swords and your hoes into spears. Let the weak say, ‘For I am strong.’
Schmiedet eure Pflugmesser zu Schwertern und eure Winzermesser zu Speeren; der Schwache sage: Ich bin ein Held!
11 Break out and advance, all nations of the world, and gather together. There the Lord will cause all your strong ones to meet death.”
Eilet und kommet her, alle ihr Nationen ringsum, und versammelt euch! Dahin, Jehova, sende deine Helden hinab!
12 Let them arise and ascend to the valley of Jehoshaphat. For there I will sit, so as to judge all the nations of the world.
Die Nationen sollen sich aufmachen und hinabziehen in das Tal [Eig. in die Talebene] Josaphat; denn dort werde ich sitzen, um alle Nationen ringsum zu richten.
13 Send forth the sickles, because the harvest has matured. Advance and descend, for the press is full, the pressing room is overflowing. For their malice has been increasing.
Leget die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist reif; kommet, stampfet, denn die Kelter ist voll, die Kufen fließen über! Denn groß ist ihre Bosheit. -
14 Nations, nations in the valley of being cut to pieces: for the day of the Lord fittingly takes place in the valley of being cut to pieces.
Getümmel [Eig. Lärmende Menschenmengen, ] Getümmel [Eig. Lärmende Menschenmengen] im Tale der Entscheidung; denn nahe ist der Tag Jehovas im Tale der Entscheidung.
15 The sun and the moon have been darkened, and the stars have withdrawn their splendor.
Die Sonne und der Mond verfinstern sich, und die Sterne verhalten ihren Glanz.
16 And the Lord will roar from Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem. And the heavens and the earth will be moved. And the Lord will be the hope of his people and the strength of the sons of Israel.
Und Jehova brüllt aus Zion und läßt aus Jerusalem seine Stimme erschallen, und Himmel und Erde erbeben. Und Jehova ist eine Zuflucht für sein Volk und eine Feste für die Kinder Israel.
17 And you will know that I am the Lord your God, dwelling on Zion, my holy mountain. And Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will not cross through it anymore.
Und ihr werdet erkennen, daß ich, Jehova, euer Gott bin, der auf Zion wohnt, meinem heiligen Berge. Und Jerusalem wird heilig sein, und Fremde werden es nicht mehr durchziehen.
18 And it will happen, in that day, that the mountains will drip sweetness, and the hills will flow with milk. And the waters will pass through all the rivers of Judah. And a fountain will go forth from the house of the Lord, and it will irrigate the desert of thorns.
Und es wird geschehen, an jenem Tage, da werden die Berge von Most triefen, und die Hügel von Milch fließen, und alle Bäche Judas werden von Wasser fließen; und eine Quelle wird aus dem Hause Jehovas hervorbrechen und das Tal Sittim [Das unfruchtbare Jordantal oberhalb des Toten Meeres] bewässern.
19 Egypt will be in desolation, and Edom will be a wilderness destroyed, because of what they have unfairly done to the sons of Judah, and because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Ägypten wird zur Einöde und Edom zu einer öden Wüste werden wegen der Gewalttat an den Kindern Judas, weil sie in ihrem Lande unschuldiges Blut vergossen haben.
20 And Judea will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem for generation upon generation.
Aber Juda soll ewiglich bewohnt werden, und Jerusalem von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.
21 And I will cleanse their blood, which I had not cleansed. And the Lord will remain in Zion.
Und ich werde sie von ihrem Blute reinigen, von dem ich sie nicht gereinigt hatte. Und Jehova wird in Zion wohnen.
