< Galatians 5 >

1 Christ has set us free in freedom; stand fast therefore, and be not held again in a yoke of bondage.
Kraịst emeela ka anyị pụọ nʼohu, nʼihi anyị inwere onwe anyị. Ya mere, gbalịanụ ịhụ na unu e nyeghị onwe unu nʼọnọdụ ohu ọzọ.
2 Behold, I, Paul, say to you, that if ye are circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Geenụ m ntị, mụ onwe m bụ Pọl na-agwa unu nke a. Ọ bụrụ na unu anabata obibi ugwu, Kraịst agaghị abara unu uru ọbụla.
3 And I witness again to every man [who is] circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law.
Ka m kwuokwa ya ọzọ, onye ọbụla kweere ka e bie ya ugwu ji ụgwọ idebezu iwu niile ahụ.
4 Ye are deprived of all profit from the Christ as separated [from him], as many as are justified by law; ye have fallen from grace.
E kewapụla unu nʼebe Kraịst nọ, unu ndị a ga-agụnye na ndị ezi omume site nʼiwu. Unu adapụla nʼamara ya.
5 For we, by [the] Spirit, on the principle of faith, await the hope of righteousness.
Nʼihi na anyị onwe anyị nwere olileanya na site nʼike nke Mmụọ Nsọ, a ga-agụ anyị na ndị ezi omume site nʼokwukwe anyị.
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision has any force, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.
Nʼihi nʼime Kraịst Jisọs, obibi ugwu maọbụ ebighị ugwu abaghị uru. Ihe dị mkpa bụ okwukwe nke na-egosi onwe ya site nʼịhụnanya.
7 Ye ran well; who has stopped you that ye should not obey the truth?
Unu na-agbabu ọsọ nke ọma, onye gbochiri unu ikwenyere eziokwu ahụ?
8 The persuasibleness [is] not of him that calls you.
Ụdị nkwagide ahụ esiteghị nʼebe Onye ahụ kpọrọ unu bịa.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
Nwantịntị ihe na-eko achịcha na-eme ka ogbe ụtụ ọka a gwọrọ agwọ koo.
10 I have confidence as to you in [the] Lord, that ye will have no other mind; and he that is troubling you shall bear the guilt [of it], whosoever he may be.
Enwere m ntụkwasị obi nʼime Onyenwe anyị na unu agaghị eche echiche nʼụdị a ọzọ, ma ikpe ọmụma ga-adịrị onye ọbụla na-eduhie unu ọzọ.
11 But I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why am I yet persecuted? Then the scandal of the cross has been done away.
Ụmụnna m, ọ bụrụ nʼezie na m na-ekwusa mkpa obibi ugwu dị, gịnị mere e ji nọgide na-akpagbu m? Ọ bụrụ na m mee otu ahụ, ewepụla m ihe ọdachi ahụ dị nʼobe.
12 I would that they would even cut themselves off who throw you into confusion.
Ọ gaara atọ m ụtọ ma ọ bụrụ na ndị ahụ na-esogbu unu ga-eme onwe ha ndị onozi.
13 For ye have been called to liberty, brethren; only [do] not [turn] liberty into an opportunity to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Nʼihi na e meela ka unu nwere onwe unu, ụmụnna m, ma unu ekwela ka mnwere onwe unu bụrụ ohere nye anụ ahụ unu, kama werenụ ịhụnanya na-agbara ibe unu odibo.
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself;
Nʼihi na ọ bụrụ na a chịkọta iwu niile nʼotu, ihe iwu niile na-ekwu bụ nke a, “Na-ahụnụ ndị ọzọ nʼanya dịka unu si hụ onwe unu nʼanya.”
15 but if ye bite and devour one another, see that ye are not consumed one of another.
Ọ bụrụ na unu na-akọcha ibe unu, na-eji ọnụ unu na-ekwutọ ha, kpacharanụ anya ka unu hapụ ịla onwe unu nʼiyi.
16 But I say, Walk in [the] Spirit, and ye shall no way fulfil flesh's lust.
Ana m agwa unu nke a: na-adịnụ ndụ nke Mmụọ Nsọ na-achị, unu anọkwala nʼọchịchọ nke anụ ahụ.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these things are opposed one to the other, that ye should not do those things which ye desire;
Nʼihi na ihe anụ ahụ chọrọ dị iche nʼihe Mmụọ Nsọ chọrọ. Ihe Mmụọ Nsọ chọrọ dịkwa iche nʼihe anụ ahụ chọrọ. Ịgba mgba dị nʼetiti ha na-eme ka ị hapụ inwe ike mee ihe ị chọrọ ime.
18 but if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under law.
Ma ọ bụrụ na Mmụọ Nsọ na-edu unu, unu anọkwaghị nʼokpuru iwu.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness,
Ugbu a, ọrụ nke anụ ahụ pụtara ihe: ịkwa iko, adịghị ọcha na agụụ ịkwa iko.
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, disputes, schools of opinion,
Ikpere arụsị, iri amụsụ, ibu iro nʼobi, na ịlụ ọgụ, ekworo na iwe, ịkpa iche iche, nkewa, ịhọ otu.
21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revels, and things like these; as to which I tell you beforehand, even as I also have said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit God's kingdom.
Ịkpọ asị, igbu ọchụ, ịṅụbiga mmanya oke, oke oriri na ihe ndị ọzọ yiri ha. Ana m adọ unu aka na ntị dịka m gwara unu nʼoge gara aga, ndị na-eme ihe dị otu a agaghị abanye nʼalaeze Chineke.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,
Ma mkpụrụ nke Mmụọ Nsọ bụ, ndụ ịhụnanya, na ọṅụ, na udo, na ogologo ntachiobi, na obiọma, na ịdị mma, na ikwesi ntụkwasị obi,
23 meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law.
ịdị nwayọọ, na ijide onwe. Ọ dịkwaghị iwu na-emegide ihe ndị a.
24 But they that [are] of the Christ have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts.
Ma ndị niile bụ ndị Kraịst Jisọs akpọgidela anụ ahụ ha, ya na ọchịchọ ha nʼelu obe.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us walk also by the Spirit.
Ọ bụrụ na anyị na-ebi ndụ mmụọ, ka nzọ ụkwụ anyị bụrụ nke mmụọ na-eduzi.
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
Ka anyị ghara ịbụ ndị mpako si otu a na-akpali iwe na ekworo nʼetiti anyị.
