Leviticus 26
1 Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.
വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു; ബിംബമോ സ്തംഭമോ നാട്ടരുതു; രൂപം കൊത്തിയ യാതൊരു കല്ലും നമസ്കരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു നാട്ടുകയും അരുതു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
2 Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.
നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ ആചരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം ബഹുമാനിക്കയും വേണം; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
3 If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,
എന്റെ ചട്ടം ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചു അനുസരിച്ചാൽ
4 then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;
ഞാൻ തക്കസമയത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു മഴ തരും; ഭൂമി വിളവു തരും; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള വൃക്ഷവും ഫലം തരും.
5 and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.
നിങ്ങളുടെ മെതി മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിക്കുന്നതുവരെ നില്ക്കും; മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിക്കുന്നതു വിതകാലംവരെയും നില്ക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ തൃപ്തരായി അഹോവൃത്തികഴിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നിൎഭയം വസിക്കും.
6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will put away the evil beasts out of the land; and the sword shall not go through your land.
ഞാൻ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം തരും; നിങ്ങൾ കിടക്കും; ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; ഞാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ദുഷ്ടമൃഗങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; വാൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടക്കയുമില്ല.
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword;
നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിങ്ങൾ ഓടിക്കും; അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വാളിനാൽ വീഴും.
8 and five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall beside you by the sword.
നിങ്ങളിൽ അഞ്ചുപേർ നൂറുപേരെ ഓടിക്കും; നിങ്ങളിൽ നൂറുപേർ പതിനായിരംപേരെ ഓടിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വാളിനാൽ വീഴും.
9 And I will turn my face towards you and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു സന്താനസമ്പന്നരാക്കി പെരുക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
10 And ye shall eat old store, and clear away the old because of the new.
നിങ്ങൾ പഴയ ധാന്യം ഭക്ഷിക്കയും പുതിയതിന്റെ നിമിത്തം പഴയതു പുറത്തു ഇറക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
11 And I will set my habitation among you; and my soul shall not abhor you;
ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിവാസം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ആക്കും; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നിങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കയില്ല.
12 and I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be to me a people.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവവും നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു ജനവും ആയിരിക്കും.
13 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you walk upright.
നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമ്യൎക്കു അടിമകളാകാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ നുകക്കൈകളെ ഒടിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ നിവിൎന്നു നടക്കുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
14 But if ye hearken not unto me, and do not all these commandments,
എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതെയും ഈ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെയും
15 and if ye shall despise my statutes, and if your soul shall abhor mine ordinances, so that ye do not all my commandments, that ye break my covenant,
എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ ധിക്കരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളം എന്റെ വിധികളെ വെറുത്തു നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചാൽ
16 I also will do this unto you — I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and fever, which shall cause the eyes to fail, and the soul to waste away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
ഞാനും ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും; കണ്ണിനെ മങ്ങിക്കുന്നതും ജീവനെ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഭീതി, ക്ഷയരോഗം, ജ്വരം എന്നിവ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുത്തും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വിത്തു നിങ്ങൾ വെറുതെ വിതെക്കും; ശത്രുക്കൾ അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കും.
17 And I will set my face against you, that ye may be routed before your enemies; they that hate you shall have dominion over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ശത്രുക്കളോടു തോറ്റുപോകും; നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കും; ഓടിക്കുന്നവർ ഇല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങൾ ഓടും.
18 And if for this ye hearken not unto me, I will punish you sevenfold more for your sins,
ഇതെല്ലാം ആയിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ശിക്ഷിക്കും.
19 and I will break the arrogance of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as bronze,
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രതാപം കെടുക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആകാശത്തെ ഇരിമ്പുപോലെയും ഭൂമിയെ ചെമ്പുപോലെയും ആക്കും.
20 and your strength shall be spent in vain, and your land shall not yield its produce; and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തി വെറുതെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം വിളവു തരാതെയും ദേശത്തിലെ വൃക്ഷം ഫലം കായ്ക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കും.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring sevenfold more plagues upon you according to your sins.
നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ഏഴു മടങ്ങു ബാധ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വരുത്തും.
22 And I will send the beasts of the field among you, that they may rob you of your children, and cut off your cattle, and make you few in number; and your streets shall be desolate.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെ അയക്കും; അവ നിങ്ങളെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരാക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങളെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ കുറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ പാഴായി കിടക്കും.
23 And if ye will not be disciplined by me through these, but walk contrary unto me,
ഇവയാലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധംവരാതെ നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നാൽ
24 then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will smite you, even I, sevenfold for your sins.
ഞാനും നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ഏഴുമടങ്ങു നിങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you that avengeth with the vengeance of the covenant, and ye shall be gathered together into your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
എന്റെ നിയമത്തിന്റെ പ്രതികാരം നടത്തുന്ന വാൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുത്തും; നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ മഹാമാരി അയക്കയും നിങ്ങളെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
26 When I break the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver you the bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പമെന്ന കോൽ ഒടിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പത്തു സ്ത്രീകൾ ഒരടുപ്പിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പം ചുട്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തിരികെ തൂക്കിത്തരും; നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടു തൃപ്തരാകയില്ല.
27 And if for this ye hearken not to me, but walk contrary unto me,
ഇതെല്ലാമായിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതെ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നാൽ
28 then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven-fold for your sins.
ഞാനും ക്രോധത്തോടെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി നടക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങളെ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ശിക്ഷിക്കും.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മാംസം നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാരുടെ മാംസവും തിന്നും.
30 And I will lay waste your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ സൂൎയ്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെട്ടിക്കളകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ശവം നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ഉടലിന്മേൽ ഇട്ടുകളകയും എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു വെറുപ്പുതോന്നുകയും ചെയ്യും.
31 And I will lay waste your cities and desolate your sanctuaries; and I will not smell your sweet odours.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പാഴ്നിലവും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരങ്ങളെ ശൂന്യവും ആക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സൌരഭ്യവാസന ഞാൻ മണക്കുകയില്ല.
32 And I will bring the land into desolation; that your enemies who dwell there in may be astonished at it.
ഞാൻ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അതിങ്കൽ ആശ്ചൎയ്യപ്പെടും.
33 And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be desolation, and your cities waste.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചിതറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാലെ വാൾ ഊരും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായും നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ പാഴ്നിലമായും കിടക്കും.
34 Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the desolation, when ye are in your enemies' land; then shall the land rest, and enjoy its sabbaths.
അങ്ങനെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി കിടക്കയും നിങ്ങൾ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളൊക്കെയും അതു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ അനുഭവിക്കും; അപ്പോൾ ദേശം സ്വസ്ഥമായിക്കിടന്നു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ അനുഭവിക്കും.
35 All the days of the desolation it shall rest, [the days in] which it did not rest on your sabbaths, when ye dwelt therein.
നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ പാൎത്തിരുന്നപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളിൽ അതിന്നു അനുഭവമാകാതിരുന്ന സ്വസ്ഥത അതു ശൂന്യമായി കിടക്കുന്ന നാളൊക്കെയും അനുഭവിക്കും.
36 And as to those that remain of you — I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth;
ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു ഭീരുത്വം വരുത്തും; ഇല പറക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടു അവർ ഓടും; വാളിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ ഓടും; ആരും ഓടിക്കാതെ അവർ ഓടി വീഴും.
37 and they shall stumble one over another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
ആരും ഓടിക്കാതെ അവർ വാളിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു എന്നപോലെ ഓടി ഒരുത്തന്റെ മേൽ ഒരുത്തൻ വീഴും; ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നില്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴികയുമില്ല.
38 And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
നിങ്ങൾ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നശിക്കും; ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശം നിങ്ങളെ തിന്നുകളയും.
39 And they that remain of you shall waste away through their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also through the iniquities of their fathers shall they waste away with them.
നിങ്ങളിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാൽ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാലും അവർ അവരോടുകൂടെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.
40 And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, through their unfaithfulness wherein they were unfaithful to me, and also that they have walked contrary unto me,
അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യവും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യവും അവർ എന്നോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ച ദ്രോഹവും അവർ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നതുകൊണ്ടു
41 so that I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,
ഞാനും അവൎക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നു അവരെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു വരുത്തിയതും ഏറ്റുപറകയും അവരുടെ പരിച്ഛേദനയില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയം അപ്പോൾ താഴുകയും അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ
42 I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
ഞാൻ യാക്കോബിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ഓൎക്കും; യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും ഞാൻ ഓൎക്കും; ദേശത്തെയും ഞാൻ ഓൎക്കും.
43 For the land shall be left by them, and shall enjoy its sabbaths, when it is in desolation without them; and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they despised my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
അവർ ദേശം വിട്ടുപോയിട്ടു അവരില്ലാതെ അതു ശൂന്യമായി കിടന്നു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകൾ അനുഭവിക്കും. അവർ എന്റെ വിധികളെ ധിക്കരിക്കയും അവൎക്കു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളോടു വെറുപ്പുതോന്നുകയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കും.
44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not despise them, and will not abhor them, to make an end of them utterly, to break my covenant with them, for I am Jehovah their God.
എങ്കിലും അവർ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരെ നിൎമ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും അവരോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിപ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല, അവരെ വെറുക്കയുമില്ല; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
45 But I will remember toward them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations, that I might be their God: I am Jehovah.
ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ജാതികൾ കാൺകെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന അവരുടെ പൂൎവ്വന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു വേണ്ടി ഓൎക്കും; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
46 These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which Jehovah made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
യഹോവ സീനായി പൎവ്വതത്തിൽവെച്ചു തനിക്കും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കും തമ്മിൽ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം വെച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണങ്ങളും ഇവ തന്നേ.
