Revelation 19
1 After these things I heard as a loud voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, Hallelujah: the salvation and the glory and the power of our God:
Après cela, j'entendis dans le ciel comme la grande voix d'une foule immense qui disait: «Alléluia! Le salut, la gloire et la puissance appartiennent à notre Dieu,
2 for true and righteous [are] his judgments; for he has judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his bondmen at her hand.
parce que ses jugements sont véritables et justes. Il a jugé la grande prostituée qui a corrompu la terre par son libertinage, et il lui a demandé compte du sang de ses serviteurs, versé par sa main.»
Et la voix dit une seconde fois: «Alléluia!» Et la fumée de la grande cité monte aux siècles des siècles. (aiōn g165)
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and did homage to God who sits upon the throne, saying, Amen, Hallelujah.
Et les vingt-quatre vieillards et les quatre animaux se prosternèrent et adorèrent Dieu, qui est assis sur le trône, et dirent: «Amen! Alléluia!»
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his bondmen, [and] ye that fear him, small and great.
Et il sortit du trône une voix qui disait: «Louez notre Dieu, Vous tous ses serviteurs, qui le craignez, petits et grands.»
6 And I heard as a voice of a great crowd, and as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah, for [the] Lord our God the Almighty has taken to himself kingly power.
Et j'entendis une voix forte, comme celle d'une foule immense, comme le bruit de grosses eaux, comme le bruit de violents tonnerres; elle disait: «Alléluia! car il règne, le Seigneur Dieu tout-puissant.
7 Let us rejoice and exult, and give him glory; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready.
Réjouissons -nous, tressaillons d'allégresse et lui rendons gloire: les noces de l'agneau sont venues, son épouse s'est préparée,
8 And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright [and] pure; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints.
et il lui a été donné de se vêtir de lin fin, magnifique et pur.» (Ce fin lin, ce sont les vertus des saints.)
9 And he says to me, Write, Blessed [are] they who are called to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb. And he says to me, These are the true words of God.
Et l'ange me dit: «Écris: Heureux ceux qui sont invités au repas des noces de l'agneau!» Et il ajouta: «Ces paroles sont de véritables paroles de Dieu.»
10 And I fell before his feet to do him homage. And he says to me, See [thou do it] not. I am thy fellow-bondman, and [the fellow-bondman] of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Do homage to God. For the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
Je tombai à ses pieds pour l'adorer, mais il me dit: «Garde-toi de le faire; je suis ton compagnon de service, et celui de tes frères qui gardent le témoignage de Jésus-Christ: adore Dieu.» — En effet, le témoignage de Jésus, c'est l'esprit de la prophétie.
11 And I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and one sitting on it, [called] Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war in righteousness.
Alors je vis le ciel ouvert, et il parut un cheval blanc: celui qui le montait s'appelle Fidèle et Véritable; il juge et combat avec justice.
12 And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head many diadems, having a name written which no one knows but himself;
Ses yeux sont une flamme ardente; il a sur la tête plusieurs diadèmes, et porte un nom écrit, que nul ne connaît que lui-même;
13 and [he is] clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.
il est vêtu d'un manteau teint de sang; son nom est La Parole de Dieu.
14 And the armies which [are] in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clad in white, pure, fine linen.
Les armées du ciel l'accompagnent sur des chevaux blancs; les cavaliers sont vêtus de fin lin, blanc et pur.
15 And out of his mouth goes a sharp [two-edged] sword, that with it he might smite the nations; and he shall shepherd them with an iron rod; and he treads the wine-press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
De sa bouche sort une épée aiguë, pour frapper les nations; c'est lui qui les gouvernera avec une verge de fer; c'est lui qui foule la cuve du vin de l'ardente colère du Dieu tout-puissant.
16 And he has upon his garment, and upon his thigh, a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords.
Sur son manteau et sur sa cuisse, il porte écrit ce nom, Roi des rois, et Seigneur des seigneurs.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come, gather yourselves to the great supper of God,
Et je vis un ange qui était debout dans le soleil, et qui cria d'une voix forte à tous les oiseaux qui volaient dans le haut des airs: «Venez, rassemblez-vous pour le grand festin que Dieu vous donne,
18 that ye may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiliarchs, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses and of those that sit upon them, and flesh of all, both free and bond, and small and great.
pour manger la chair des rois, la chair des généraux, la chair des hommes forts, la chair des chevaux et de ceux qui les montent, la chair de tous les hommes, libres et esclaves, petits et grands.»
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.
Et je vis la bête et les rois de la terre, avec leurs armées rassemblées pour livrer bataille à celui qui est monté sur le cheval blanc, et à son armée.
21 and the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which goes out of his mouth; and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
le reste fut tué par l'épée qui sort de la bouche de celui qui est monté sur le cheval; et tous les oiseaux se rassasièrent de leurs chairs.
