< Psalms 30 >

1 A psalm of David. A psalm for the dedication of the Temple. I want to tell everyone how good you are, Lord, for you saved me, and you didn't let my enemies triumph over me.
Wee Jehova-rĩ, nĩngũgũtũũgĩria nĩgũkorwo wandutire kũrĩa kũriku, na ũkĩgiria thũ ciakwa ingenerere.
2 Lord, my God, I called out to you for help, and you have healed me.
Wee Jehova Ngai wakwa, ndagũkaĩire ũndeithie nawe ũkĩĩhonia.
3 Lord, you rescued me from the grave, you brought me back to life, saving me from going down into the pit of death. (Sheol h7585)
Wee Jehova, wandutire kuuma mbĩrĩra-inĩ; ũkĩgiria njikũrũke, ndoonye irima. (Sheol h7585)
4 You who trust the Lord, sing praises to him, and be thankful for his holy character!
Inĩrai Jehova mũmũgooce, inyuĩ andũ ake aamũre; mũgooce rĩĩtwa rĩu rĩake itheru,
5 For his anger only lasts a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. You may spend the night in tears, but happiness comes with the morning.
nĩgũkorwo marakara make nĩ ma kahinda o kanini, no ũtugi wake nĩwagũtũũria mũndũ muoyo; kĩrĩro no kĩraarĩre ũtukũ wothe no rũciinĩ gwakĩa kũrooke gĩkeno.
6 When things were going well, I said, “Nothing will ever shake me!”
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ndagaacĩire, ndoigire atĩrĩ, “Ndirĩ hĩndĩ ngenyenyeka.”
7 Lord, when you showed me your favor I stood as strong as a mountain; when you turned away from me I was terrified.
Wee Jehova, rĩrĩa wanyonirie ũtugi waku-rĩ, watũmire ndĩhaande o ta kĩrĩma; no rĩrĩa wahithire ũthiũ waku-rĩ, nĩndamakire.
8 I called out to you for help, Lord. I asked the Lord for grace, saying,
Wee Jehova nĩwe ndakaĩire; ngĩthaitha Mwathani anjiguĩre tha:
9 What would you gain if I die, if I go down into the pit of death? Would my dust praise you? Would it tell of your trustworthiness?
“Mwanangĩko wakwa ũngĩkorwo na uumithio ũrĩkũ, ingĩtoonyerera irima-inĩ? Rũkũngũ-rĩ, no rũkũgooce? No rwanĩrĩre wĩhokeku waku?
10 Please listen to me, Lord, and be gracious to me! Lord, you are the one who helps me.
Wee Jehova, thikĩrĩria na ũnjiguĩre tha; Wee Jehova, tuĩka ũteithio wakwa.”
11 You have turned my weeping into dancing. You have taken off my clothes of sackcloth and dressed me in happiness,
Wagarũrire kĩgirĩko gĩakwa gĩgĩtuĩka rwĩmbo rwa gĩkeno; ũkĩnduta nguo yakwa ya ikũnia, ũkĩhumba gĩkeno,
12 so I can sing praises to you and not keep quiet. Lord my God, I will thank you forever!
nĩgeetha ngoro yakwa ĩkũinĩre na ndĩgakire. Wee Jehova Ngai wakwa, ngũtũũra ngũcookagĩria ngaatho nginya tene.
