1 Samuel 30
1 Bvt when Dauid and his men were come to Ziklag the thirde day, the Amalekites had inuaded vpon the South, euen vnto Ziklag, and had smitten Ziklag, and burnt it with fire,
और ऐसा हुआ, कि जब दाऊद और उसके लोग तीसरे दिन सिक़लाज में पहुँचे तो देखा कि 'अमालीक़ियों ने दख्खिनी हिस्से और सिक़लाज पर चढ़ाई कर के सिक़लाज को मारा और आग से फूँक दिया।
2 And had taken the women that were therein, prisoners, both small and great, and slewe not a man, but caryed them away, and went their wayes.
और 'औरतों को और जितने छोटे बड़े वहाँ थे सब को क़ैद कर लिया है, उन्होंने किसी को क़त्ल नहीं किया बल्कि उनको लेकर चल दिए थे।
3 So Dauid and his men came to the city, and beholde, it was burnt with fire, and their wiues, and their sonnes, and their daughters were taken prisoners.
इसलिए जब दाऊद और उसके लोग शहर में पहुँचे तो देखा कि शहर आग से जला पड़ा है, और उनकी बीवियाँ और बेटे और बेटियाँ क़ैद हो गई हैं।
4 Then Dauid and the people that was with him, lift vp their voyces and wept, vntill they could weepe no more.
तब दाऊद और उसके साथ के लोग ज़ोर ज़ोर से रोने लगे यहाँ तक कि उन में रोने की ताक़त न रही।
5 Dauids two wiues were taken prisoners also, Ahinoam the Izreelite, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
और दाऊद की दोनों बीवियाँ यज़र'एली अख़नूअम और कर्मिली नाबाल की बीवी अबीजेल क़ैद हो गई थीं।
6 And Dauid was in great sorowe: for the people entended to stone him, because the heartes of all the people were vexed euery man for his sonnes and for his daughters: but Dauid comforted him selfe in the Lord his God.
और दाऊद बड़े शिकंजे में था क्यूँकि लोग उसे संगसार करने को कहते थे इसलिए कि लोगों के दिल अपने बेटों और बेटियों के लिए निहायत ग़मग़ीन थे लेकिन दाऊद ने ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा में अपने आप को मज़बूत किया।
7 And Dauid saide to Abiathar the Priest Ahimelechs sonne, I pray thee, bring me the Ephod. And Abiathar brought the Ephod to Dauid.
और दाऊद ने अख़ीमलिक के बेटे अबीयातर काहिन से कहा, कि ज़रा अफ़ूद को यहाँ मेरे पास ले आ, इसलिए अबीयातर अफ़ूद को दाऊद के पास ले आया।
8 Then Dauid asked counsell at the Lord, saying, Shall I follow after this companie? shall I ouertake them? And he answered him, Followe: for thou shalt surely ouertake them, and recouer all.
और दाऊद ने ख़ुदावन्द से पूछा कि “अगर मैं उस फ़ौज का पीछा करूँ तो क्या मैं उनको जा लूँगा?” उसने उससे कहा कि “पीछा कर क्यूँकि तू यक़ीनन उनको पालेगा और ज़रूर सब कुछ छुड़ा लाएगा।”
9 So Dauid and the sixe hundreth men that were with him, went, and came to the riuer Besor, where a part of them abode:
इसलिए दाऊद और वह छ: सौ आदमी जो उसके साथ थे चले और बसोर की नदी पर पहुँचे जहाँ वह लोग जो पीछे छोड़े गए ठहरे रहे।
10 But Dauid and foure hundreth men followed (for two hundreth abode behinde, being too wearie to goe ouer the riuer Besor)
लेकिन दाऊद और चार सौ आदमी पीछा किए चले गए क्यूँकि दो सौ जो ऐसे थक गए थे कि बसोर की नदी के पार न जा सके पीछे रह गए।
11 And they found an Egyptian in the fielde, and brought him to Dauid, and gaue him bread and he did eat, and they gaue him water to drinke.
और उनको मैदान में एक मिस्री मिल गया, उसे वह दाऊद के पास ले आए और उसे रोटी दी, इसलिए उसने खाई और उसे पीने को पानी दिया।
12 Also they gaue him a fewe figges, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirite came againe to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunke any water in three dayes, and three nightes.
और उन्होंने अंजीर की टिकया का टुकड़ा और किशमिश के दो खोशे उसे दिए, जब वह खा चुका तो उसकी जान में जान आई क्यूँकि उस ने तीन दिन और तीन रात से न रोटी खाई थी न पानी पिया था।
13 And Dauid saide vnto him, To whome belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he saide, I am a yong man of Egypt, and seruant to an Amalekite: and my master left me three dayes agoe, because I fell sicke.
तब दाऊद ने पूछा “तू किस का आदमी है? और तू कहाँ का है?” उस ने कहा “मैं एक मिस्री जवान और एक 'अमालीक़ी का नौकर हूँ और मेरा आक़ा मुझ को छोड़ गया क्यूँकि तीन दिन हुए कि मैं बीमार पड़ गया था।
14 We roued vpon the South of Chereth, and vpon the coast belonging to Iudah, and vpon the South of Caleb, and we burnt Ziklag with fire.
हमने करेतियों के दख्खिन में और यहूदाह के मुल्क में और कालिब के दख्खिन में लूट मार की और सिक़लाज को आग से फूँक दिया।”
15 And Dauid saide vnto him, Canst thou bring me to this companie? And he said, Sweare vnto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliuer me into the handes of my master, and I will bring thee to this companie.
दाऊद ने उस से कहा “क्या तू मुझे उस फ़ौज तक पहुँचा देगा?” उसने कहा “तू मुझ से ख़ुदा की क़सम खा कि न तू मुझे क़त्ल करेगा और न मुझे मेरे आक़ा के हवाले करेगा तो मैं तुझ को उस फ़ौज तक पहुँचा दूँगा।”
16 And when he had brought him thither, beholde, they lay scattered abroade vpon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dauncing, because of all the great pray that they had taken out of the lande of the Philistims, and out of the land of Iudah.
जब उसने उसे वहाँ पहुँचा दिया तो देखा कि वह लोग उस सारी ज़मीन पर फैले हुए थे और उसे बहुत से माल की वजह से जो उन्होंने फ़िलिस्तियों के मुल्क और यहूदाह के मुल्क से लूटा था खाते पीते और ज़ियाफतें उड़ा रहे थे।
17 And Dauid smote them from the twilight, euen vnto the euening of the next morowe, so that there escaped not a man of them, saue foure hundreth yong men, which rode vpon camels, and fled.
इसलिए दाऊद रात के पहले पहर से लेकर दूसरे दिन की शाम तक उनको मारता रहा, और उन में से एक भी न बचा सिवा चार सौ जवानों के जो ऊँटों पर चढ़ कर भाग गए।
18 And Dauid recouered all that the Amalekites had taken: also Dauid rescued his two wiues.
और दाऊद ने सब कुछ जो 'अमालीक़ी ले गए थे छुड़ा लिया और अपनी दोनों बीवियों को भी दाऊद ने छुड़ाया।
19 And they lacked nothing, small or great, sonne or daughter, or of the spoyle of all that they had taken away: Dauid recouered them all.
और उनकी कोई चीज़ गुम न हुई न छोटी न बड़ी न लड़के न लड़कियाँ न लूट का माल न और कोई चीज़ जो उन्होंने ली थी दाऊद सब का सब लौटा लाया।
20 Dauid also tooke all the sheepe, and the oxen, and they draue them before his cattell, and said, This is Dauids pray.
और दाऊद ने सब भेड़ बकरियाँ और गाय और बैल ले लिए और वह उनको बाक़ी जानवर के आगे यह कहते हुए हाँक लाए कि यह दाऊद की लूट है।
21 And Dauid came to the two hundreth men that were too wearie for to follow Dauid: whome they had made also to abide at the riuer Besor: and they came to meete Dauid, and to meete the people that were with him: so when Dauid came neere to the people, hee saluted them.
और दाऊद उन दो सौ जवानों के पास आया जो ऐसे थक गए थे कि दाऊद के पीछे पीछे न जा सके और जिनको उन्होंने बसोर की नदी पर ठहराया था, वह दाऊद और उसके साथ के लोगों से मिलने को निकले और जब दाऊद उन लोगों के नज़दीक पहुँचा तो उसने उनसे ख़ैर — ओ — 'आफ़ियत पूछी।
22 Then answered all the euill and wicked of the men that went with Dauid, and saide, Because they went not with vs, therefore will wee giue them none of the pray that wee haue recouered, saue to euery man his wife and his children: therefore let them carie them away and depart.
तब उन लोगों में से जो दाऊद के साथ गए थे सब बद ज़ात और ख़बीस लोगों ने कहा, चूँकि यह हमारे साथ न गए, इसलिए हम इनको उस माल में से जो हम ने छुड़ाया है कोई हिस्सा नहीं देंगे 'अलावा हर शख़्स की बीवी और बाल बच्चों के ताकि वह उनको लेकर चलें जाएँ।
23 Then saide Dauid, Yee shall not doe so, my brethren, with that which the Lord hath giuen vs, who hath preserued vs, and deliuered the companie that came against vs, into our handes.
तब दाऊद ने कहा, “ऐ मेरे भाइयों तुम इस माल के साथ जो ख़ुदावन्द ने हमको दिया है ऐसा नहीं करने पाओगे क्यूँकि उसी ने हमको बचाया और उस फ़ौज को जिसने हम पर चढ़ाई की हमारे क़ब्ज़े में कर दिया।
24 For who will obey you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth downe to the battel, so shall his part be, that tarieth by the stuffe: they shall part alike.
और इस काम में तुम्हारी मानेगा कौन? क्यूँकि जैसा उसका हिस्सा है जो लड़ाई में जाता है वैसा ही उसका हिस्सा होगा जो सामान के पास ठहरता है, दोनों बराबर हिस्सा पाएँगे।”
25 So from that day forward hee made it a statute and a lawe in Israel, vntill this day.
और उस दिन से आगे को ऐसा ही रहा कि उसने इस्राईल के लिए यही क़ानून और आईन मुक़र्रर किया जो आज तक है।
26 When Dauid therefore came to Ziklag, he sent of the pray vnto the Elders of Iudah and to his friends, saying, See there is a blessing for you of the spoyle of the enemies of the Lord.
और जब दाऊद सिक़लाज में आया तो उसने लूट के माल में से यहूदाह के बुज़ुर्गों के पास जो उसके दोस्त थे कुछ कुछ भेजा और कहा, कि देखो ख़ुदावन्द के दुश्मनों के माल में से यह तुम्हारे लिए हदिया है।
27 Hee sent to them of Beth-el, and to them of South Ramoth, and to them of Iattir,
यह उनके पास जो बैतएल में और उनके पास जो रामात — उल — जुनूब में और उनके पास जो यतीर में।
28 And to them of Aroer, and to them of Siphmoth, and to them of Eshtemoa,
और उनके पास जो 'अरो'ईर में, और उनके पास जो सिफ़मोत में और उनके पास जो इस्तिमू'अ में।
29 And to them of Rachal, and to them of the cities of the Ierahmeelites, and to them of the cities of the Kenites,
और उनके पास जो रकिल में और उनके पास जो यरहमीलियों के शहरों में और उनके पास जो क़ीनियों के शहरों में।
30 And to them of Hormah, and to them of Chor-ashan, and to them of Athach,
और उनके पास जो हुरमा में और उनके पास जो कोर'आसान में, और उनके पास जो 'अताक में।
31 And to them of Hebron, and to all the places where Dauid and his men had hanted.
और उनके पास जो हबरून में थे और उन सब जगहों में जहाँ जहाँ दाऊद और उसके लोग फ़िरा करते थे, भेजा।
