Jeremiah 12
1 O Lord, if I dispute with thee, thou art righteous: yet let mee talke with thee of thy iudgements: wherefore doeth the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they in wealth that rebelliously transgresse?
Du bist gerecht, Jehova, wenn ich mit dir hadere; doch von deinen Urteilen [d. h. von der Art und Weise, wie du Recht übst] möchte ich mit dir reden: Warum ist der Weg der Gesetzlosen glücklich, sind sicher [O. sorglos, wohlgemut] alle, die Treulosigkeit üben?
2 Thou hast planted them, and they haue taken roote: they grow, and bring forth fruite: thou art neere in their mouth, and farre from their reines.
Du hast sie gepflanzt, sie haben auch Wurzel geschlagen; sie kommen vorwärts, tragen auch Frucht. Du bist nahe in ihrem Munde, doch fern von ihren Nieren.
3 But thou, Lord, knowest me: thou hast seene me, and tried mine heart towarde thee: pull them out like sheepe for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
Du aber, Jehova, du kennst mich, du siehst mich und prüfst mein Herz gegen dich. Reiße sie hinweg wie Schafe zur Schlachtung, und weihe sie für den Tag des Würgens!
4 Howe long shall the lande mourne, and the herbes of euery fielde wither, for the wickednesse of them that dwell therein? the beastes are consumed and the birdes, because they sayd, He wil not see our last ende.
Wie lange soll das Land trauern und das Kraut des ganzen Feldes welken? Wegen der Bosheit seiner Bewohner sind Vieh und Gevögel dahin; denn sie sprechen: Er wird unser Ende nicht sehen. -
5 If thou hast runne with the footemen and they haue wearied thee, then howe canst thou match thy selfe with horses? and if thou thoughtest thy selfe safe in a peaceable lande, what wilt thou do in the swelling of Iorden?
Wenn du mit Fußgängern liefest, und sie dich ermüdeten, wie wolltest du denn mit Rossen wetteifern? Und wenn du auf ein Land des Friedens dein Vertrauen setzest, wie willst du es denn machen in der Pracht des Jordan [d. h. an den üppig bewachsenen Ufern des Jordan, wo Löwen lagern; vergl. Kap. 49,19;50,44; Sach. 11,3?]
6 For euen thy brethren, and the house of thy father, euen they haue delt vnfaithfully with thee, and they haue cryed out altogether vpon thee: but beleeue them not, though they speake faire to thee.
Denn auch deine Brüder und deines Vaters Haus, auch sie sind treulos gegen dich, auch sie rufen dir nach aus voller Kehle. Glaube ihnen nicht, wenn sie freundlich mit dir reden.
7 I haue forsaken mine house: I haue left mine heritage: I haue giuen the dearely beloued of my soule into the hands of her enemies.
Ich habe mein Haus verlassen, mein Erbteil verstoßen, ich habe den Liebling [Eig. den Gegenstand der Liebe] meiner Seele in die Hand seiner Feinde gegeben.
8 Mine heritage is vnto mee, as a lion in the forest: it crieth out against mee, therefore haue I hated it.
Mein Erbteil ist mir geworden wie ein Löwe im Walde; es hat seine Stimme gegen mich erhoben, darum habe ich es gehaßt.
9 Shall mine heritage bee vnto mee, as a bird of diuers colours? are not the birdes about her, saying, Come, assemble all ye beastes of the fielde, come to eate her?
Ist mir mein Erbteil ein bunter Raubvogel, daß Raubvögel rings um dasselbe her sind? Auf! versammelt alle Tiere des Feldes, bringet sie zum Fraße herbei!
10 Many pastors haue destroyed my vineyarde, and troden my portion vnder foote: of my pleasant portion they haue made a desolate wildernesse.
Viele Hirten [Vergl. Kap. 6,3] haben meinen Weinberg verderbt, mein Ackerstück zertreten; sie haben mein köstliches Ackerstück zur öden Wüste gemacht.
11 They haue layde it waste, and it, being waste, mourneth vnto me: and the whole lande lyeth waste, because no man setteth his minde on it.
Man [O. er [der Feind]] hat es zur Öde gemacht: verwüstet trauert es um mich her. Das ganze Land ist verwüstet, weil niemand es zu Herzen nahm.
12 The destroyers are come vpon all the high places in the wildernesse: for the sworde of the Lord shall deuoure from the one end of the land, euen to the other ende of the lande: no flesh shall haue peace.
Über alle kahlen Höhen in der Steppe [d. i. überall, wo Weide zu finden war] sind Verwüster gekommen; denn ein Schwert von Jehova frißt von einem Ende des Landes bis zum anderen Ende des Landes: kein Friede allem Fleische!
13 They haue sowen wheate, and reaped thornes: they were sicke, and had no profite: and they were ashamed of your fruites, because of the fierce wrath of the Lord.
Sie haben Weizen gesät und Dornen geerntet; sie haben sich erschöpft und nichts ausgerichtet. So werdet zu Schanden an euren Erträgen vor der Glut des Zornes Jehovas!
14 Thus sayeth the Lord against all mine euill neighbours, that touch the inheritance, which I haue caused my people Israel to inherite, Beholde, I will plucke them out of their lande, and plucke out the house of Iudah from among them.
So spricht Jehova über alle meine bösen Nachbarn, welche das Erbteil antasten, das ich mein Volk Israel habe erben lassen: Siehe, ich werde sie aus ihrem Lande herausreißen, und das Haus Juda werde ich aus ihrer Mitte reißen.
15 And after that I haue plucked them out, I will returne, and haue compassion on them, and will bring againe euery man to his heritage, and euery man to his land.
Und es soll geschehen, nachdem ich sie herausgerissen habe, werde ich mich ihrer wieder erbarmen und sie zurückbringen, einen jeden in sein Erbteil und einen jeden in sein Land.
16 And if they will learne the wayes of my people, to sweare by my Name, (The Lord liueth, as they taught my people to sweare by Baal) then shall they be built in the middes of my people.
Und es soll geschehen, wenn sie die Wege meines Volkes wirklich lernen, so daß sie bei meinem Namen schwören: So wahr Jehova lebt! gleichwie sie mein Volk gelehrt haben, bei dem Baal zu schwören, so sollen sie inmitten meines Volkes aufgebaut werden.
17 But if they will not obey, then will I vtterly plucke vp, and destroy that nation, sayeth the Lord.
Wenn sie aber nicht hören, so werde ich selbige Nation ausreißen, ausreißen und vertilgen, spricht Jehova.
