Proverbs 28
1 The wicked flee when none pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon.
El malvado huye cuando ningún hombre lo persigue, pero los rectos no tienen miedo, como el león.
2 For the transgression of the land there are many princes thereof: but by a man of vnderstanding and knowledge a realme likewise endureth long.
Debido al pecado de la tierra, sus problemas aumentan; pero por un hombre de sabiduría y conocimiento serán apagados como un fuego.
3 A poore man, if he oppresse the poore, is like a raging raine, that leaueth no foode.
Un hombre rico que es cruel con los pobres es como una lluvia violenta que causa destrucción de alimentos.
4 They that forsake the Law, prayse the wicked: but they that keepe the Law, set themselues against them.
Los que no respetan la ley alaban al malhechor; pero tales que guardan la ley están en contra de él.
5 Wicked men vnderstand not iudgemnt: but they that seeke the Lord vnderstand all things.
Los hombres malvados no tienen conocimiento de lo que es correcto; pero los que van tras el Señor tienen conocimiento de todas las cosas.
6 Better is the poore that walketh in his vprightnesse, then hee that peruerteth his wayes, though he be riche.
Mejor es el pobre cuyos caminos son rectos, que el hombre rico cuyos caminos no son rectos.
7 He that keepeth the Law, is a childe of vnderstanding: but hee that feedeth the gluttons, shameth his father.
El que guarda la ley es hijo sabio, pero el que se hace compañía de los glotones avergüenza a su padre.
8 He that increaseth his riches by vsurie and interest, gathereth them for him that will be mercifull vnto the poore.
El que hace que su riqueza sea más grande al tomar interés, solo lo junta para el que tiene compasión de los pobres.
9 He that turneth away his eare from hearing the Law, euen his prayer shalbe abominable.
En cuanto al hombre que aparta su oído para no oír la ley, incluso su oración es desagradable.
10 He that causeth the righteous to go astray by an euill way, shall fall into his owne pit, and the vpright shall inherite good things.
Cualquiera que haga que los rectos vayan errantes por el mal camino, él mismo descenderá al hoyo que él ha hecho; pero los rectos tendrán buenas cosas para su herencia.
11 The riche man is wise in his owne conceite: but the poore that hath vnderstanding, can trie him.
El hombre de riqueza parece ser sabio en su opinión, pero el pobre que tiene sentido tiene una baja opinión de él.
12 When righteous men reioyce, there is great glory: but when the wicked come vp, the man is tried.
Cuando los rectos hacen bien, hay gran gloria; pero cuando los malhechores son levantados, los hombres se esconden.
13 He that hideth his sinnes, shall not prosper: but he that confesseth, and forsaketh them, shall haue mercy.
El que guarda sus pecados en secreto no hará bien; pero el que está abierto acerca de ellos y los abandona, obtendrá misericordia.
14 Blessed is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart, shall fall into euill.
Feliz es el hombre en quien está el temor del Señor en todo momento; pero aquel cuyo corazón es duro entrará en problemas.
15 As a roaring lyon, and an hungry beare, so is a wicked ruler ouer the poore people.
Como un león de voz fuerte y un oso errante, es un malvado gobernante sobre un pueblo pobre.
16 A prince destitute of vnderstanding, is also a great oppressour: but hee that hateth couetousnes, shall prolong his dayes.
El príncipe que no tiene sentido es un gobernante cruel; pero el que no desea obtener ganancias por sí mismo tendrá una vida larga.
17 A man that doeth violence against the blood of a person, shall flee vnto the graue, and they shall not stay him.
Alguien que ha sido la causa de la muerte de un hombre irá en vuelo al sepulcro: que ningún hombre le dé ayuda.
18 He that walketh vprightly, shalbe saued: but he that is froward in his wayes, shall once fall.
Aquel cuyos caminos son rectos estará a salvo, pero repentina será la caída de aquel cuyos caminos están torcidos.
19 He that tilleth his land, shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth the idle, shall be filled with pouertie.
Al arar su tierra, un hombre tendrá pan en toda su medida; pero el que persigue a los holgazanes será lo suficientemente pobre.
20 A faythfull man shall abound in blessings, and he that maketh haste to be riche, shall not be innocent.
Un hombre de buena fe tendrá una gran bendición, pero uno que intenta obtener riqueza rápidamente no quedará libre del castigo.
21 To haue respect of persons is not good: for that man will transgresse for a piece of bread.
No es bueno tener respeto por la posición de un hombre: porque un hombre hará lo malo por un poco de pan.
22 A man with a wicked eye hasteth to riches, and knoweth not, that pouertie shall come vpon him.
El que siempre desea riqueza, corre tras el dinero, y no ve la necesidad vendrá sobre él.
23 He that rebuketh a man, shall finde more fauour at length, then he that flattereth with his tongue.
El que dice palabras de protesta a un hombre tendrá más aprobación que uno que diga palabras alabadoras con su lengua.
24 Hee that robbeth his father and mother, and sayth, It is no transgression, is the companion of a man that destroyeth.
El que toma de su padre o de su madre lo que es suyo por derecho, y dice: No es pecado; es lo mismo que un tomador de vida.
25 He that is of a proude heart, stirreth vp strife: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be fatte.
El que siempre desea ganancias, es causa de pelea; pero el que pone su fe en el Señor prosperará.
26 Hee that trusteth in his owne heart, is a foole: but he that walketh in wisdome, shall be deliuered.
El que tiene fe en sí mismo es necio; pero todos los que caminan sabiamente estarán a salvo.
27 He that giueth vnto the poore, shall not lacke: but he that hideth his eyes, shall haue many curses.
El que da al pobre nunca tendrá necesidad, pero grandes maldiciones caerán sobre el que no les presta atención.
28 When the wicked rise vp, men hide them selues: but when they perish, ye righteous increase.
Cuando los malhechores son levantados, los hombres se esconden; pero cuando la destrucción los alcanza, aumentan los justos.
