Psalms 90
1 A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast bene our habitation from generation to generation.
Senhor, tu tens sido o nosso refúgio, de geração em geração.
2 Before the mountaines were made, and before thou hadst formed the earth, and the world, euen from euerlasting to euerlasting thou art our God.
Antes que os montes nascessem, ou que tu formasses a terra e o mundo, mesmo de eternidade em eternidade, tu és Deus.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction: againe thou sayest, Returne, ye sonnes of Adam.
Tu reduzes o homem à destruição; e dizes: tornai-vos, filhos dos homens.
4 For a thousande yeeres in thy sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Porque mil anos são aos teus olhos como o dia de ontem quando passou, e como a vigília da noite.
5 Thou hast ouerflowed them: they are as a sleepe: in the morning he groweth like the grasse:
Tu os levas como com uma corrente d'água: são como um sono: de manhã são como a erva que cresce.
6 In the morning it florisheth and groweth, but in the euening it is cut downe and withereth.
De madrugada floresce e se muda: à tarde se corta e se seca.
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Pois somos consumidos pela tua ira, e pelo teu furor somos angustiados.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our secret sinnes in the light of thy countenance.
Diante de ti puseste as nossas iniquidades: os nossos pecados ocultos à luz do teu rosto.
9 For all our dayes are past in thine anger: we haue spent our yeeres as a thought.
Pois todos os nossos dias vão passando na tua indignação; passamos os nossos anos como um conto que se conta.
10 The time of our life is threescore yeeres and ten, and if they be of strength, fourescore yeeres: yet their strength is but labour and sorowe: for it is cut off quickly, and we flee away.
Os dias da nossa vida chegam a setenta anos, e se alguns pela sua robustez chegam a oitenta anos, o orgulho deles é canceira e enfado, pois cedo se corta e vamos voando.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy wrath? for according to thy feare is thine anger.
Quem conhece o poder da tua ira? segundo és tremendo, assim é o teu furor.
12 Teach vs so to nomber our dayes, that we may apply our heartes vnto wisdome.
Ensina-nos a contar os nossos dias, de tal maneira que alcancemos corações sábios.
13 Returne (O Lord, howe long?) and be pacified toward thy seruants.
Volta-te para nós, Senhor: até quando? e aplaca-te para com os teus servos.
14 Fill vs with thy mercie in the morning: so shall we reioyce and be glad all our dayes.
Farta-nos de madrugada com a tua benignidade, para que nos regozijemos, e nos alegremos todos os nossos dias.
15 Comfort vs according to the dayes that thou hast afflicted vs, and according to the yeeres that we haue seene euill.
Alegra-nos pelos dias em que nos afligiste, e pelos anos em que vimos o mal.
16 Let thy worke bee seene towarde thy seruants, and thy glory vpon their children.
Apareça a tua obra aos teus servos, e a tua glória sobre seus filhos.
17 And let the beautie of the Lord our God be vpon vs, and direct thou the worke of our hands vpon vs, euen direct the worke of our handes.
E seja sobre nós a formosura do Senhor, nosso Deus: e confirma sobre nós a obra das nossas mãos; sim, confirma a obra das nossas mãos.
