Romans 8
1 Now then there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Iesus, which walke not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Kwa hiyo basi hakuna hukumu ya adhabu juu yao walio katika Kristo Yesu.
2 For the Lawe of the Spirite of life, which is in Christ Iesus, hath freed mee from the lawe of sinne and of death.
Kwa kuwa kanuni ya Roho wa uzima ule ulio katika Kristo Yesu imenifanya mimi kuwa huru mbali na kanuni ya dhambi na mauti.
3 For (that that was impossible to ye Lawe, in as much as it was weake, because of ye flesh) God sending his owne Sonne, in ye similitude of sinful flesh, and for sinne, condened sinne in the flesh,
Kwa maana kile ambacho sheria ilishindwa kufanya kwa sababu ilikuwa dhaifu katika mwili, Mungu alifanya. Alimtuma Mwana wake wa pekee kwa mfano wa mwili wa dhambi awe sadaka ya dhambi, na akaihukumu dhambi katika mwili.
4 That that righteousnes of the Law might be fulfilled in vs, which walke not after ye flesh, but after the Spirit.
Alifanya hivi ili maagizo ya sheria yatimilizwe ndani yetu, sisi tusioenenda kwa kufuata mambo ya mwili, bali kwa kufuata mambo ya Roho.
5 For they that are after the flesh, sauour the things of the flesh: but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Wale waufuatao mwili huyafikiri mambo ya mwili, lakini wale waifuatao Roho huyafikiri mambo ya Roho.
6 For the wisedome of the flesh is death: but the wisedome of the Spirit is life and peace,
Kwa kuwa nia ya mwili ni mauti, bali nia ya Roho ni uzima na amani.
7 Because the wisedome of the flesh is enimitie against God: for it is not subiect to the Lawe of God, neither in deede can be.
Hii ni kwa sababu ile nia ya mwili ni uadui juu ya Mungu, kwa maana haitii sheria ya Mungu, wala haiwezi kuitii.
8 So then they that are in the flesh, can not please God.
Wale waufuatao mwili hawawezi kumpendeza Mungu.
9 Now ye are not in the flesh, but in ye Spirit, because ye spirit of God dwelleth in you: but if any man hath not ye Spirit of Christ, ye same is not his.
Hata hivyo, hampo katika mwili bali katika Roho, kama ni kweli kwamba Roho wa Mungu huishi ndani yenu. Lakini kama mtu hana Roho wa Kristo, yeye si wake.
10 And if Christ bee in you, the body is dead, because of sinne: but the Spirite is life for righteousnesse sake.
Kama Kristo yumo ndani yenu, mwili umekufa kwa mambo ya dhambi, bali roho ni hai kwa mambo ya haki.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised vp Iesus from the dead, dwell in you, he that raised vp Christ from the dead, shall also quicken your mortall bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Ikiwa Roho wa yule aliyemfufua Yesu kutoka wafu huishi ndani yenu, yeye yule aliyemfufua Kristo kutoka katika wafu ataipa pia miili yenu ya mauti uhai kwa njia ya Roho wake, aishie ndani yenu.
12 Therefore brethren, wee are detters not to the flesh, to liue after the flesh:
Hivyo basi, ndugu zangu, sisi tu wadeni, lakini si kwa mwili kwamba tuishi kwa jinsi ya mwili.
13 For if ye liue after the flesh, ye shall die: but if yee mortifie the deedes of the body by the Spirit, ye shall liue.
Maana ikiwa mnaishi kwa jinsi ya mwili, mpo karibu kufa, lakini ikiwa kwa Roho mnayafisha matendo ya mwili, nanyi mtaishi.
14 For as many as are ledde by the Spirit of God, they are the sonnes of God.
Maana kama ambavyo wengi wanaongozwa na Roho wa Mungu, hawa ni wana wa Mungu.
15 For ye haue not receiued the Spirit of bodage, to feare againe: but ye haue receiued the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father.
Kwa kuwa hamkupokea roho wa utumwa tena hata muogope. Badala yake, mlipokea roho ya kufanywa kuwa wana, ambayo kwayo tunalia, “Abba, Baba!”
16 The same Spirit beareth witnesse with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Roho mwenyewe hushuhudia pamoja na roho zetu ya kuwa tu watoto wa Mungu.
17 If we be children, we are also heires, euen the heires of God, and heires annexed with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Ikiwa tu watoto, basi tu warithi pia, warithi wa Mungu. Na sisi tu warithi pamoja na Kristo, ikiwa kwa kweli tunateseka na yeye ili tupate kutukuzwa pamoja naye.
18 For I count that the afflictions of this present time are not worthy of the glory, which shalbe shewed vnto vs.
Kwa kuwa nayahesabu mateso ya wakati huu kuwa si kitu nikilinganisha na utukufu utakaofunuliwa kwetu.
19 For the feruent desire of the creature waiteth when the sonnes of God shalbe reueiled,
Kwa maana viumbe vyote pia vinatazamia kwa shauku nyingi kufunuliwa kwa wana wa Mungu.
20 Because the creature is subiect to vanitie, not of it owne will, but by reason of him, which hath subdued it vnder hope,
Kwa maana uumbaji pia ulitiishwa chini ya ubatili, si kwa hiari yake, ila kwa sababu yake yeye aliyevitiisha. Ni katika tumaini
21 Because the creature also shall be deliuered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious libertie of the sonnes of God.
kwamba uumbaji wenyewe nao utawekwa huru na kutolewa katika utumwa wa uharibifu, na kuingizwa katika uhuru wa utukufu wa watoto wa Mungu.
22 For we knowe that euery creature groneth with vs also, and trauaileth in paine together vnto this present.
Kwa maana twajua ya kuwa uumbaji nao pia unaugua na kuteseka kwa uchungu pamoja hata sasa.
23 And not onely the creature, but we also which haue the first fruites of the Spirit, euen we doe sigh in our selues, waiting for the adoption, euen the redemption of our body.
Si hivyo tu, ila na sisi wenyewe tulio na malimbuko ya Roho - sisi pia tunaugua katika nafsi zetu, tukisubiri kufanywa wana, yaani ukombozi wa miili yetu.
24 For we are saued by hope: but hope that is seene, is not hope: for how can a man hope for that which he seeth?
Kwa maana ni kwa taraja hili tuliokolewa. Lakini kitu kilichotarajiwa kikionekana hakuna taraja tena, kwa maana ni nani anayekitarajia kile akionacho?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, we doe with patience abide for it.
Bali tukikitarajia kitu tusichokiona, twakingojea kwa saburi.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we knowe not what to pray as wee ought: but the Spirit it selfe maketh request for vs with sighs, which cannot be expressed.
Kwa jinsi iyo hiyo, Roho naye hutusaidia katika udhaifu wetu. Kwa maana hatujui kuomba jinsi itupasavyo, lakini Roho mwenyewe hutuombea kwa kuugua kusikoweza kutamkwa.
27 But he that searcheth the heartes, knoweth what is the meaning of the Spirit: for he maketh request for ye Saints, according to the wil of God.
Na yeye aichunguzaye mioyo huijua akili ya Roho, kwa sababu huomba kwa niaba yao walioamini kulingana na mapenzi ya Mungu.
28 Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose.
Nasi twajua ya kuwa kwa wote wampendao Mungu, yeye hufanya mambo yote pamoja kwa wema, kwa wale wote walioitwa kwa kusudi lake.
29 For those which hee knewe before, he also predestinate to bee made like to the image of his Sonne, that hee might be the first borne among many brethren.
Kwa sababu wale wote aliowajua tangu asili, pia aliwachagua tangu asili wafananishwe na mfano wa Mwana wake, ili yeye awe mzaliwa wa kwanza miogoni mwa ndugu wengi.
30 Moreouer whom he predestinate, them also he called, and whom he called, them also he iustified, and whom he iustified, them he also glorified.
Na wale aliowachagua tangu asili, hao aliwaita pia. Na wale aliowaita, hao aliwahesabia haki. Na wale aliowahesabia haki, hao pia akawatukuza.
31 What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs?
Tuseme nini basi juu ya mambo haya? Mungu akiwa upande wetu, ni nani aliye juu yetu?
32 Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also?
Yeye asiyemwachilia mwana wake mwenyewe bali alimtoa kwa ajili yetu sisi sote atakosaje kutukirimia na mambo yote pamoja naye?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth,
Ni nani atakayewashitaki wateule wa Mungu? Mungu ndiye mwenye kuwahesabia haki.
34 Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs.
Ni nani atakayewahukumia adhabu? Kristo Yesu ndiye aliyekufa kwa ajili yetu, na zaidi ya hayo, yeye pia alifufuliwa. Naye anatawala pamoja na Mungu mahali pa heshima, na tena ndiye anayetuombea sisi.
35 Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde?
Ni nani atakayetutenga na upendo wa Kristo? Dhiki, au shida, au mateso, au njaa, au uchi, au hatari, au upanga?
36 As it is written, For thy sake are we killed all day long: we are counted as sheepe for the slaughter.
Kama ilivyoandikwa, “Kwa faida yako tunauawa mchana kutwa. Tulihesabiwa kama kondoo wa kuchinjwa.”
37 Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs.
Katika mambo haya yote sisi tu zaidi ya washindi katika yeye aliyetupenda.
38 For I am perswaded that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Kwa maana nimekwisha kushawishika kwamba wala mauti, wala uzima, wala malaika, wala mamlaka, wala vitu vilivyopo, wala vitu vijavyo, wala nguvu,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesus our Lord.
wala yaliyo juu, wala yaliyo chini, wala kiumbe kinginecho chote, hakitaweza kututenga na upendo wa Mungu, ambaye ni Kristo Yesu Bwana wetu.
