< John 10 >

1 Truly, truly, I say unto you, the one coming not in through the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbing up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.
2 And the one coming in through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear His voice: and he calls His own sheep by name, and leads them out.
Temu vratar odpira, in ovce glas njegov poslušajo, in svoje ovce kliče po imenu, in izganja jih.
4 When He may put out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: because they know his voice:
In ko ovce svoje izžene, gre pred njimi; in ovce gredó za njim, ker poznajo glas njegov;
5 but they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him: because they know not the voice of strangers.
6 He spoke this parable to them: but they did not know what things He was speaking to them.
7 Then Jesus said, Truly, truly, I say unto you, that I am the door of the sheep.
Tedaj jim Jezus zopet reče: Resnično resnično vam pravim, da sem jaz vrata ovcam.
8 All so many as came were thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Vsi, kolikorkoli jih je prišlo pred menoj, tatjé so in razbojniki: ali ovce jih niso poslušale.
9 I am the door: if any one may enter in through me, he shall be saved; he shall go in and come out, and find pasture.
Jaz sem vrata; skozi mene če kdo vnide, zveličal se bo, in pojde noter in izšel bo, in našel bo pašo.
10 The thief does not come, but that he may steal, and slay, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.
11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Jaz sem dober pastir; dober pastir poklada dušo svojo za ovce.
12 The hireling, and the one not being the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees away, and the wolf seizes and scatters them:
Najemnik pa, in kdor ni pastir, komur niso ovce lastne, vidi volka, da gre, pa popustí ovce, in odbeží: in volk jih razgrabi, in razpodí ovce.
13 because he is a hireling and there is not a care to him for the sheep.
14 I am the Good Shepherd; I know mine, and mine know me,
Jaz sem dober pastir; in poznam svoje, in moje poznajo mene:
15 as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father; and I lay down My soul for the sheep.
Kakor oče mene pozná, in jaz očeta poznam. In dušo svojo pokladam za ovce.
16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold: and it behooves me to bring them and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Tudi drugih ovâc imam, ktere niso iz tega hleva; tudi té moram pripeljati, in poslušale bodo glas moj: in ena čreda bo, eden pastir.
17 Therefore my Father loves Me, because I lay down my soul, that I may take it again.
Za to me oče ljubi, ker jaz dušo svojo pokladam, da jo zopet vzemem.
18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and power to receive it again. I received this commandment from my Father.
19 Again there was a schism among the Jews on account of these words.
20 Then many of them were saying, He has a demon, and is gone mad; why do you hear Him? Others were saying,
21 These are not the words of a demonized man. Whether is a demon able to open the eyes of the blind?
22 And it was the feast of dedication in Jerusalem: and it was winter;
23 and Jesus was walking in the temple in Solomon's porch.
24 Then the Jews surrounded Him, and said to Him, How long do you take away our soul?
In obstopijo ga Judje, in govorili so mu: Doklej nas v nevednosti pustiš?
25 If thou art the Christ, tell us openly. Jesus responded, I told you, and you do not believe: the works which I do in the name of my Father, these testify concerning me.
Dela, ktera jaz delam v ime očeta svojega, ta pričajo za-me.
26 But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Moje ovce poslušajo glas moj, in jaz jih poznam; in za menoj gredó,
28 and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall pluck them out of my hand.
29 The Father, who has given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of the hand of the Father.
30 I and the Father are one.
Jaz in oče sva eno.
31 Again the Jews took up stones, that they might stone Him.
32 Jesus responded to them, I have shown unto you many beautiful works from the Father; on account of which of these do you stone me?
33 The Jews responded to Him, We do not stone Thee for good work, but for blasphemy; because Thou, being a man, art making Thyself God.
34 And Jesus responded to them, Is it not written in your law, that I said, Ye are gods?
Odgovorí jim Jezus: Ni li pisano v zakonu vašem: "Jaz sem rekel: bogovi ste?"
35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture is not able to be broken),
36 whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, do you say; Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Če ne delam del očeta svojega, ne verujete mi;
38 If I do, believe not me, believe the works: that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.
39 They sought again to take Him: and He passed out of their hand.
40 And again He departed beyond the Jordan into the place where John was first baptizing; and remained there:
41 and many came to Hint, and said, that John indeed did no miracle; but all things so many as John spoke concerning this One are true.
In veliko jih pride k njemu; in pravili so: Janez res ni nobenega čudeža storil; ali karkoli je Janez povedal za tega, bilo je vse resnično.
42 And many believed on Him there.
In veliko jih je tu verovalo va-nj.
