Psalms 77
1 For the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. I will lift up my voice unto God, and cry; I will lift up my voice unto God, that He may give ear unto me.
Clamei ao Senhor com a minha voz: a Deus levantei a minha voz, e ele inclinou para mim os ouvidos.
2 In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; with my hand uplifted, mine eye streameth in the night without ceasing; my soul refuseth to be comforted.
No dia da minha angústia busquei ao Senhor: a minha mão se estendeu de noite, e não cessava; a minha alma recusava ser consolada.
3 When I think thereon, O God, I must moan; when I muse thereon, my spirit fainteth. (Selah)
Lembrava-me de Deus, e me perturbei: queixava-me, e o meu espírito desfalecia (Selah)
4 Thou holdest fast the lids of mine eyes; I am troubled, and cannot speak.
Sustentaste os meus olhos acordados: estou tão perturbado que não posso falar.
5 I have pondered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
Considerava os dias da antiguidade, os anos dos tempos antigos.
6 In the night I will call to remembrance my song; I will commune with mine own heart; and my spirit maketh diligent search:
De noite chamei à lembrança o meu cântico: meditei em meu coração, e o meu espírito esquadrinhou.
7 'Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will He be favourable no more?
Rejeitará o Senhor para sempre e não tornará a ser favorável?
8 Is His mercy clean gone for ever? Is His promise come to an end for evermore?
Cessou para sempre a sua benignidade? acabou-se já a promessa de geração em geração?
9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath He in anger shut up his compassions?' (Selah)
Esqueceu-se Deus de ter misericórdia? ou encerrou ele as suas misericórdias na sua ira? (Selah)
10 And I say: 'This is my weakness, that the right hand of the Most High could change.
E eu disse: A minha enfermidade é esta: mas eu me lembrei dos anos da dextra do altíssimo.
11 I will make mention of the deeds of the LORD; yea, I will remember Thy wonders of old.
Eu me lembrarei das obras do Senhor: certamente que eu me lembrarei das tuas maravilhas da antiguidade.
12 I will meditate also upon all Thy work, and muse on Thy doings.'
Meditarei também em todas as tuas obras, e falarei dos teus feitos.
13 O God, Thy way is in holiness; who is a great god like unto God?
O teu caminho, ó Deus, está no santuário. Quem é Deus tão grande como o nosso Deus?
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders; Thou hast made known Thy strength among the peoples.
Tu és o Deus que fazes maravilhas: tu fizeste notória a tua força entre os povos.
15 Thou hast with Thine arm redeemed Thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
Com o teu braço remiste o teu povo, os filhos de Jacob e de José (Selah)
16 The waters saw Thee, O God; the waters saw Thee, they were in pain; the depths also trembled.
As águas te viram, ó Deus, as águas te viram, e tremeram; os abismos também se abalaram.
17 The clouds flooded forth waters; the skies sent out a sound; Thine arrows also went abroad.
As nuvens lançaram água, os céus deram um som; as tuas flechas correram de uma para outra parte.
18 The voice of Thy thunder was in the whirlwind; the lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
A voz do teu trovão estava no céu; os relâmpagos alumiaram o mundo; a terra se abalou e tremeu.
19 Thy way was in the sea, and Thy path in the great waters, and Thy footsteps were not known.
O teu caminho é no mar, e as tuas veredas nas grandes águas, e os teus passos não são conhecidos.
20 Thou didst lead Thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Guiaste o teu povo, como a um rebanho, pela mão de Moisés e de Aarão.
