Isaiah 14
1 For YHWH will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
Denn der HERR wird sich über Jakob erbarmen und Israel noch weiter erwählen und sie in ihr Land setzen. Und Fremdlinge werden sich zu ihnen tun und dem Hause Jakob anhangen.
2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of YHWH for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
Und die Völker werden sie annehmen und bringen an ihren Ort, daß sie das Haus Israel besitzen wird im Lande des HERRN zu Knechten und Mägden; und werden gefangen halten die, von welchen sie gefangen waren, und werden herrschen über ihre Treiber.
3 And it shall come to pass in the day that YHWH shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
Und zu der Zeit, wenn dir der HERR Ruhe geben wird von deinem Jammer und Leid und von dem harten Dienst darin du gewesen bist,
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
so wirst du ein solch Sprichwort führen wider den König zu Babel und sagen: Wie ist's mit dem Treiber so gar aus, und der Zins hat ein Ende!
5 YHWH hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
Der HERR hat die Rute der Gottlosen zerbrochen, die Rute der HERRSCher,
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
welche die Völker schlug im Grimm ohne Aufhören und mit Wüten herrschete über die Heiden und verfolgete ohne Barmherzigkeit.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
Nun ruhet doch alle Welt und ist stille und jauchzet fröhlich.
8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
Auch freuen sich die Tannen über dir und die Zedern auf dem Libanon (und sagen): Weil du liegst, kommt niemand herauf, der uns abhaue.
9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
Die Hölle drunten erzitterte vor dir, da du ihr entgegenkamest. Sie erwecket dir die Toten, alle Böcke der Welt, und heißt alle Könige der Heiden von ihren Stühlen aufstehen, (Sheol h7585)
10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
daß dieselbigen alle umeinander reden und sagen zu dir: Du bist auch geschlagen, gleichwie wir, und gehet dir wie uns.
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. (Sheol h7585)
Deine Pracht ist herunter in die Hölle gefahren samt dem Klange deiner Harfen. Motten werden dein Bett sein und Würmer deine Decke. (Sheol h7585)
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Wie bist du vom Himmel gefallen, du schöner Morgenstern! Wie bist du zur Erde gefället, der du die Heiden schwächtest!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of El: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Gedachtest du doch in deinem Herzen: Ich will in den Himmel steigen und meinen Stuhl über die Sterne Gottes erhöhen;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
ich will mich setzen auf den Berg des Stifts, an der Seite gegen Mitternacht; ich will über die hohen Wolken fahren und gleich sein dem Allerhöchsten.
Ja, zur Hölle fährest du, zur Seite der Grube. (Sheol h7585)
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Wer dich siehet, wird dich schauen und ansehen (und sagen): Ist das der Mann, der die Welt zittern und die Königreiche beben machte,
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
der den Erdboden zur Wüste machte und die Städte drinnen zerbrach und gab seine Gefangenen nicht los?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
Zwar alle Könige der Heiden miteinander liegen doch mit Ehren, ein jeglicher in seinem Hause;
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
du aber bist verworfen von deinem Grabe wie ein verachteter Zweig, wie ein Kleid der Erschlagenen, so mit dem Schwert erstochen sind, die hinunterfahren zu den Steinhaufen der Hölle, wie eine zertretene Leiche. (questioned)
20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
Du wirst nicht wie dieselbigen begraben werden; denn du hast dein Land verderbet und dein Volk erschlagen; denn man wird der Boshaftigen Samen nimmermehr gedenken.
21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
Richtet zu, daß man seine Kinder schlachte um ihrer Väter Missetat willen, daß sie nicht aufkommen, noch das Land erben, noch den Erdboden voll Städte machen.
22 For I will rise up against them, saith YHWH of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith YHWH.
Und ich will über sie kommen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und zu Babel ausrotten ihr Gedächtnis, ihre Übrigen, Neffen und Nachkommen, spricht der HERR,
23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith YHWH of hosts.
und will sie machen zum Erbe den Igeln und zum Wassersee und will sie mit einem Besen des Verderbens kehren, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
24 YHWH of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
Der HERR Zebaoth hat geschworen und gesagt: Was gilt's, es soll gehen, wie ich denke, und soll bleiben, wie ich's im Sinn habe,
25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
daß Assur zerschlagen werde in meinem Lande, und ich ihn zertrete auf meinen Bergen, auf daß sein Joch von ihnen genommen werde und seine Bürde von ihrem Halse komme.
26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
Das ist der Anschlag, den er hat über alle Lande, und das ist die ausgereckte Hand über alle Heiden.
27 For YHWH of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Denn der HERR Zebaoth hat's beschlossen; wer will's wehren? Und seine Hand ist ausgereckt; wer will sie wenden?
28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.
Im Jahr, da der König Ahas starb, war dies die Last:
29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
Freue dich nicht, du ganz Philisterland, daß die Rute, die dich schlug, zerbrochen ist. Denn aus der Wurzel der Schlange wird ein Basilisk kommen, und ihre Frucht wird ein feuriger fliegender Drache sein.
30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
Denn die Erstlinge der Dürftigen werden sich weiden und die Armen sicher ruhen; aber deine Wurzel will ich mit Hunger töten, und deine Übrigen wird er erwürgen.
31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
Heule, Tor; schreie, Stadt! Ganz Philisterland ist feige; denn von Mitternacht kommt ein Rauch, und ist kein Einsamer in seinen Gezelten.
32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That YHWH hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
Und was werden die Boten der Heiden hin und wieder sagen? Nämlich: Zion hat der HERR gegründet; und daselbst werden die Elenden seines Volks Zuversicht haben.
