Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
| ای یهوه آنچه بر ما واقع شد به یاد آور وملاحظه فرموده، عار ما را ببین. | ۱ |
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
| میراث ما از آن غریبان و خانه های ما از آن اجنبیان گردیده است. | ۲ |
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
| ما یتیم و بی‌پدر شده‌ایم و مادران ما مثل بیوه‌ها گردیده‌اند. | ۳ |
4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.
| آب خود را به نقره می‌نوشیم و هیزم ما به مافروخته می‌شود. | ۴ |
5 Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
| تعاقب کنندگان ما به گردن ما رسیده‌اند وخسته شده، راحت نداریم. | ۵ |
6 We have given the hand [to] the Egyptians, [and to] the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
| با اهل مصر و آشور دست دادیم تا از نان سیرشویم. | ۶ |
7 Our fathers have sinned, [and are] not; and we have borne their iniquities.
| پدران ما گناه ورزیده، نابود شده‌اند و مامتحمل عصیان ایشان گردیده‌ایم. | ۷ |
8 Servants have ruled over us: [there is] none that doth deliver [us] out of their hand.
| غلامان بر ما حکمرانی می‌کنند و کسی نیست که از دست ایشان رهایی دهد. | ۸ |
9 We gat our bread with [the peril of] our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
| از ترس شمشیر اهل بیابان، نان خود را بخطرجان خویش می‌یابیم. | ۹ |
10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.
| پوست ما به‌سبب سموم قحط مثل تنورسوخته شده است. | ۱۰ |
11 They ravished the women in Zion, [and] the maids in the cities of Judah.
| زنان را در صهیون بی‌عصمت کردند ودوشیزگان را در شهرهای یهودا. | ۱۱ |
12 Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.
| سروران از دست ایشان به دار کشیده شده و به مشایخ اعتنا ننمودند. | ۱۲ |
13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.
| جوانان سنگهای آسیا را برمی دارند وکودکان زیر بار هیزم می‌افتند. | ۱۳ |
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.
| مشایخ از دروازه‌ها نابود شدند و جوانان ازنغمه سرایی خویش. | ۱۴ |
15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
| شادی دل ما نیست شد و رقص ما به ماتم مبدل گردید. | ۱۵ |
16 The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
| تاج از سر ما افتاد، وای بر ما زیرا که گناه کردیم. | ۱۶ |
17 For this our heart is faint; for these [things] our eyes are dim.
| از این جهت دل ما بیتاب شده است و به‌سبب این چیزها چشمان ما تار گردیده است. | ۱۷ |
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
| یعنی به‌خاطر کوه صهیون که ویران شد وروباهان در آن گردش می‌کنند. | ۱۸ |
19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
| اما تو‌ای یهوه تا ابدالاباد جلوس می‌فرمایی و کرسی تو تا جمیع دهرها خواهدبود. | ۱۹ |
20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, [and] forsake us so long time?
| پس برای چه ما را تا به ابد فراموش کرده وما را مدت مدیدی ترک نموده‌ای. | ۲۰ |
21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
| ای یهوه ما را بسوی خود برگردان وبازگشت خواهیم کرد و ایام ما را مثل زمان سلف تازه کن. | ۲۱ |
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
| و الا ما را بالکل رد نموده‌ای و بر مابی نهایت غضبناک شده‌ای. | ۲۲ |
