< Proverbs 12 >

1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof [is] brutish.
Ngʼat mohero puonj mar rieko ohero ngʼeyo, to ngʼat ma ok winj puonj ofuwo.
2 A good [man] obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
Ngʼat maber yudo pwoch kuom Jehova Nyasaye, to Jehova Nyasaye kwero ngʼat ma timbene richo.
3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
Ngʼato ok nyal gerore motegno kuom richo, to ngʼat makare ok nyal pudhi.
4 A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed [is] as rottenness in his bones.
Dhako ma kite longʼo en osimbo mar chwore, to dhako ma timbene richo chalo gi nyamuoda manie choke.
5 The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit.
Chenro mar ngʼat makare nikare, to puonj mar joricho en wuondruok.
6 The words of the wicked [are] to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
Weche mag joricho opondo karito chwero remo, to wach mar joma kare resogi.
7 The wicked are overthrown, and [are] not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
Joricho osewiti kendo gilal nono, to od ngʼat makare osiko ogurore motegno.
8 A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
Ngʼato ipako kaluwore gi riekone, to jogo man-gi paro mobam ichayo.
9 [He that is] despised, and hath a servant, [is] better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
Ber bedo dhano adhana, to in gi jatich, moloyo wuondori ni in ngʼato, to ionge chiemo.
10 A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.
Ngʼat makare chiwo kony ne gik ma jambe dwaro, to timbe mag ngʼwono mag ngʼat marach gin mana gero.
11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding.
Ngʼat matiyo e puothe biro bedo gi chiemo mogundho, to ngʼat mabayo abaya onge gi rieko.
12 The wicked desireth the net of evil [men: ] but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].
Joricho dwaro gik moyaki mag jogo mamono, to tiend joma kare kelo mwandu.
13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of [his] lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
Ngʼat marach imako mana gi wuoyone maricho, to ngʼat makare tony ne chandruok.
14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of [his] mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
Weche mabeyo mawuok e dho ngʼato miyo obedo gi gik mabeyo, adiera, tich mar lwete kelone konyruok.
15 The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel [is] wise.
Yor ngʼat mofuwo nenorene ni nikare, to ngʼat makare chiko ite ne puonj.
16 A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent [man] covereth shame.
Ngʼat mofuwo nyiso mirimbe mapiyo, to ngʼat mariek mwonyo ayany.
17 [He that] speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
Janeno ma ja-adiera chiwo neno mobidhore, to janeno ma hango wach wacho miriambo.
18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health.
Weche mag muomruok chwoyo chuny mana kaka ligangla, to lew ngʼat mariek kelo ngima.
19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue [is] but for a moment.
Dhok ma ja-adiera osiko manyaka chiengʼ, to lep mariambo bedo mana kuom kinde machwok.
20 Deceit [is] in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace [is] joy.
Wuond ni e chuny jogo machano timo marach, to mor en mar jogo mohero kwe.
21 There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
Onge gima rach manyalo biro ni ngʼat makare; to joricho ni kod thagruok mathoth.
22 Lying lips [are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly [are] his delight.
Jehova Nyasaye mon kod dhok mariambo, to omor gi jogo ma jo-adiera.
23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
Ngʼat mariek orito ngʼeyone e iye, to chuny joma ofuwo wuoyo ma ok opimo.
24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Tich matek miyo ngʼato bedo gi duongʼ, to nyawo gikone en tich mar misumba.
25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Chuny maparore miyo ngʼato bedo mool, to wach mamuol jiwe.
26 The righteous [is] more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
Ngʼat makare dak gi osiepene e yo mowinjore, to yor ngʼat marach terogi kama rach.
27 The slothful [man] roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man [is] precious.
Jasamuoyo ok nyal yudo dwarone, to jakinda maratego ongʼeyo ber gige.
28 In the way of righteousness [is] life; and [in] the pathway [thereof there is] no death.
Yo makare nitie gi ngima, e yorno nitie ngima mochwere.
