Isaiah 62

1 For the sake of Zion will I not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem will I not be quiet; until its righteousness go forth as the brightness [of light], and its salvation as a burning torch.

Por amor de Sião me não calarei, e por amor de Jerusalém me não aquietarei; até que saia a sua justiça como um resplandor, e a sua salvação como uma tocha acesa

2 And nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and men shall call thee by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall pronounce.

E as nações verão a tua justiça, e todos os reis a tua glória; e chamar-te-ão por um nome novo, que a boca do Senhor nomeará.

3 And thou shalt be a crown of ornament in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

E serás uma coroa de glória na mão do Senhor, e um diadema real na mão do teu Deus.

4 Thou shalt not be termed any more “Forsaken,” and thy land shall not be termed any more “Desolate;” for thou shalt be called “My delight in her” [[Chephzi-bah]], and thy land “Espoused” [[Be'ulah]]; for the Lord will have delight in thee, and thy land shall be espoused.

Nunca mais te chamarão: Desamparada, nem a tua terra nunca mais nomearão: Assolada; mas chamar-te-ão: O meu prazer está nela; e a tua terra: A casada; porque o Senhor se agrada de ti; e a tua terra se casará.

5 For as a young man espouseth a virgin, so shall thy sons espouse thee; and as the bridegroom is glad over the bride, so will be glad over thee thy God.

Porque, como o mancebo se casa com a donzela, assim teus filhos se casarão contigo: e, como o noivo se alegra da noiva, assim se alegrará de ti o teu Deus.

6 Over thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, all the day and all the night, continually, shall they not be silent: ye that make mention of the Lord, take ye no rest.

Ó Jerusalém, sobre os teus muros pus guardas, que todo o dia e toda a noite de contínuo se não calarão: ó vós, os que fazeis menção do Senhor, não haja silêncio em vós,

7 And give him no rest, until he have established, and until he have set up Jerusalem as a praise on the earth.

Nem lhe deis a ele silêncio, até que confirme, e até que ponha a Jerusalém por louvor na terra.

8 Sworn hath the Lord by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, I will not give thy corn any more as food for thy enemies, and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy young wine for which thou hast labored;

Jurou o Senhor pela sua mão direita, e pelo braço da sua força, que nunca mais darei o teu trigo por comida aos teus inimigos, nem os estranhos beberão o teu mosto, em que trabalhaste.

9 But they who gather it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they who bring it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

Porém os que o ajuntarem o comerão, e louvarão ao Senhor: e os que o colherem beberão nos átrios do meu santuário.

10 Pass, pass through the gates, make clear the way of the people, cast up, cast up the highway, remove away the stones, lift up a banner over the nations.

Passai, passai pelas portas; preparai o caminho ao povo: aplainai, aplainai a estrada, limpai-a das pedras; arvorai a bandeira aos povos.

11 Behold, the Lord hath caused to be heard unto the ends of the earth, “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.”

Eis que o Senhor fez ouvir até às extremidades da terra: Dizei à filha de Sião: Eis que a tua salvação vem: eis que consigo o seu galardão, e a sua obra diante dele

12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord; and thou shalt be called, Sought for, [[Derusha, ]] The city never forsaken.

E chama-los-ão: Povo santo, remidos do Senhor; e tu serás chamada Buscada, a cidade não desamparada.
