Isaiah 7
1 In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah [Praised], Rezin the king of Syria [Elevated], and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel [God prevails], went up to Jerusalem [City of peace] to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
১যিহূদার রাজা উষিয়ের নাতি যোথমের ছেলে আহসের দিনের অরামের রাজা রত্সীন ও ইস্রায়েলের রাজা, রমলিয়ের ছেলে পেকহ, যিরূশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে গেলেন, কিন্তু তারা তার বিরুদ্ধে জয়ী হতে পারলেন না।
2 David [Beloved]’s house was told, “Syria [Elevated] is allied with Ephraim [Fruit].” His heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.
২তখন দায়ূদের কুলকে জানানো গেল যে, অরাম ইফ্রয়িমের সঙ্গী হয়েছে। তাতে তাঁর হৃদয় ও তাঁর লোকদের হৃদয় কেঁপে গেল, যেমন বনের গাছ সব বাতাসের দ্বারা নড়ে যায়।
3 Then Adonai said to Isaiah [Salvation of Yah], “Go out now to meet Ahaz, you, and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller’s field.
৩তখন সদাপ্রভু যিশাইয়কে বললেন, তুমি ও তোমার ছেলে শার-যাশূব আহসের সঙ্গে দেখা করার জন্যে উপরের পুকুরের জলনির্গমন-প্রণালীর মুখের কাছে ধোপার মাঠের রাস্তায় যাও।
4 Tell him, ‘Be careful, and keep calm. Don’t be afraid, neither let your heart be faint because of these two tails of smoking torches, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria [Elevated], and of the son of Remaliah.
৪তাকে বল, সাবধান, সুস্থির হও; এই দুই পোড়া কাঠের শেষ অংশ থেকে রৎসীন ও অরামের এবং রমলিয়ের ছেলের, প্রচণ্ড ক্রোধ থেকে ভীত হয়ো না, তোমার হৃদয়কে নিরাশ হতে দিও না।
5 Because Syria [Elevated], Ephraim [Fruit], and the son of Remaliah, have plotted evil against you, saying,
৫অরাম, ইফ্রয়িম ও রমলিয়ের ছেলে তোমার বিরুদ্ধে এই হিংসার পরিকল্পনা করেছে, তারা বলেছে,
6 “Let’s go up against Judah [Praised], and tear it apart, and let’s divide it among ourselves, and set up a king within it, even the son of Tabeel.”
৬“এস, আমরা যিহূদাকে আক্রমণ করি এবং তাকে আতঙ্কিত করি এবং এস আমরা তাকে দমন করি এবং আমাদের মধ্যে টাবেলের ছেলেকে রাজা করি।”
7 This is what the Lord Adonai says: “It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.”
৭প্রভু সদাপ্রভু বলেন, তা আর জায়গা নেবে না; এটা আর ঘটবে না,
8 For the head of Syria [Elevated] is Damascus [Bucket of blood], and the head of Damascus [Bucket of blood] is Rezin; and within sixty-five years Ephraim [Fruit] shall be broken in pieces, so that it shall not be a people;
৮কারণ অরামের মাথা দম্মেশক ও দম্মেশকের মাথা রত্সীন। পঁয়ষট্টি বছরের মধ্যে ইফ্রয়িম ধ্বংস হবে এবং জাতি আর থাকবে না।
9 and the head of Ephraim [Fruit] is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.’”
৯ইফ্রয়িমের মাথা শমরিয়া এবং শমরিয়ার মাথা রমলিয়ের ছেলে। তোমাদের বিশ্বাসে যদি তোমরা স্থির হয়ে না থাক তবে তোমরা কোনোভাবেই সুরক্ষিত থাকতে পারবে না।
10 Adonai spoke again to Ahaz, saying,
১০সদাপ্রভু আহসকে বললেন,
11 “Ask a sign of Adonai your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.” (Sheol h7585)
১১“তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কোনো চিহ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা কর, গভীরে বা ওপরে জিজ্ঞাসা কর।” (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, neither will I tempt Adonai.”
১২কিন্তু আহস বললেন, “আমি জিজ্ঞাসা করব না, সদাপ্রভুকে পরীক্ষাও করব না।”
13 He said, “Sh'ma ·Hear obey· now, house of David [Beloved]. Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God also?
১৩তাই যিশাইয় বললেন, “দায়ূদের কুল, তোমরা শোন। মানুষের ধৈর্য্য পরীক্ষা করা কি যথেষ্ট নয়? তোমরা কি আমার ঈশ্বরের ধৈর্য্য পরীক্ষা করবে?
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name 'Immanu El [God is with us].
১৪অতএব প্রভু নিজে তোমাদেরকে এক চিহ্ন দেবেন; দেখ, এক যুবতী মহিলা গর্ভবতী হয়ে ছেলের জন্ম দেবে ও তাঁর নাম ইম্মানূয়েল রাখবে।
15 He shall eat butter and honey when he knows to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
১৫যা খারাপ তা অগ্রাহ্য করার এবং যা ভালো তা মনোনীত করার জ্ঞান পাবার দিনের শিশুটি দই ও মধু খাবে।
16 For before the child knows to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings you abhor shall be forsaken.
১৬কারণ যা খারাপ তা অগ্রাহ্য করার ও যা ভালো তা মনোনীত করার জ্ঞান হওয়ার আগে, যে দেশের দুই রাজাকে তুমি ঘৃণা করছ, সে দেশ জনশূন্য হবে।
17 Adonai will bring on you, on your people, and on your father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim [Fruit] departed from Judah [Praised]; even the king of Assyria [Level plain].
১৭যিহূদা থেকে ইফ্রয়িমের আলাদা হবার দিন থেকে যা কখনো হয়নি, সদাপ্রভু তোমার জন্য ও তোমার পিতৃকুলের জন্য সেই দিন আনবেন, তিনি অশূরের রাজাকে আনবেন।”
18 It will happen in that day that Adonai will whistle for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria [Level plain].
১৮সেই দিন সদাপ্রভু মিশর দেশের দূরের নদীগুলোর মাছি ও অশূর দেশের মৌমাছিদের শিশ দেবেন।
19 They shall come, and shall all rest in the desolate valleys, in the clefts of the rocks, on all thorn hedges, and on all pastures.
১৯তাতে তারা সবাই এসে গিরিসঙ্কটের মধ্যে, পাহাড়ের ফাটলের মধ্যে, সব কাঁটাঝোপে ও সব মাঠে বসবে।
20 In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria [Level plain], the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.
২০সেই দিন প্রভু [ফরাৎ] নদীর পারে অবস্থিত ভাড়া করা ক্ষুর দিয়ে, অশূর রাজার দ্বারা মাথা ও পায়ের লোম কামিয়ে দেবেন এবং তা দিয়ে দাড়িও কামাবেন।
21 It shall happen in that day that a man shall keep alive a young cow, and two sheep;
২১সেই দিন যদি কেউ একটি যুবতী গরু
22 and it shall happen, that because of the abundance of milk which they shall give he shall eat butter: for everyone will eat butter and honey that is left within the land.
২২দুটি মেষ পোষে, তবে তারা যে দুধ দেবে সেই দুধের প্রাচুর্য্যতায় দই খাবে; কারণ দেশের মধ্যে বাকি সব লোক দই ও মধু খাবে।
23 It will happen in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silver shekels [25 lb; 11.34 kg], shall be for briers and thorns.
২৩সেই দিন, যে জায়গায় হাজার রূপার মুদ্রা দামের হাজার আঙ্গুর লতা আছে, সেই সব জায়গা কাঁটাঝোপ আর কাঁটাময় হবে।
24 People will go there with arrows and with bow, because all the land will be briers and thorns.
২৪লোকে সেখানে তীর-ধনুক নিয়ে যাবে, কারণ সমস্ত দেশ কাঁটাঝোপে ও কাঁটাগাছে ভরে যাবে।
25 All the hills that were cultivated with the hoe, you shall not come there for fear of briers and thorns; but it shall be for the sending out of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.”
২৫যে সব পাহাড়ী জায়গা কোদাল দিয়ে খোঁড়া যায় সেই সব জায়গায় কাঁটাঝোপের ও কাঁটার ভয়ে তুমি যাবে না; তা গরুর চরার জায়গা ও মেষের চরার জায়গা হবে।
