Ephesians 1
1 To Christ’s people at Ephesus who are faithful to him, from Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, by the will of God.
| این نامه از پولس است که به خواست خدا رسول مسیحْ عیسی می‌باشد. این نامه را به شما، قوم مقدّس خدا در شهر افسس می‌نویسم که به خداوند ما عیسی مسیح وفادارید. |
2 May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace.
| از پدرمان خدا، و خداوندمان عیسی مسیح، خواستار فیض و آرامش برای شما هستم. |
3 Blessed is the God and Father of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has blessed us on high with every spiritual blessing, in Christ.
| ستایش باد بر خدا، پدرِ خداوند ما عیسی مسیح، که ما را به دلیل پیوندمان با مسیح، با هر برکت روحانی در قلمروهای آسمانی مبارک ساخته است. |
4 For he chose us in our union with Christ before the creation of the universe, so that we might be holy and blameless in his sight, living in the spirit of love.
| خدا حتی پیش از آفرینش جهان، از طریق پیوندمان با مسیح، ما را محبت کرد و برگزید تا در نظر او مقدّس و بی‌عیب باشیم. |
5 From the first he destined us, in his goodwill towards us, to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ,
| او ما را از پیش تعیین کرد تا به‌واسطۀ عیسی مسیح، فرزندخواندگان او گردیم. این امر کاملاً مطابق بود با ارادۀ او و موجب خشنودی‌اش می‌گردید. |
6 and so to enhance that glorious manifestation of his loving kindness which he gave us in the one he loves;
| پس خدا را به سبب فیض پرجلالی که به رایگان بر ما فرو ریخته، می‌ستاییم، فیضی که متعلق به پسر محبوبش می‌باشد. |
7 for in him, and through the shedding of his blood, we have found redemption in the pardon of our offences.
| در او، ما از طریق خونش، رهایی را دریافت کرده‌ایم، همان بخشایش گناهان را، که مطابق است با دولتمندی فیض خدا، |
8 All this accords with the loving kindness which God lavished on us, accompanied by countless gifts of wisdom and discernment,
| فیضی که با گشاده‌دستی، و همراه با حکمت و درک کامل، به‌فراوانی بر ما بارانید! |
9 when he made known to us his hidden purpose. And it also accords with the goodwill which God purposed to exhibit in Christ,
| خدا اکنون، طرح خود را که پیش از این آشکار نشده بود، بر ما آشکار ساخته است. او این را طبق قصد نیکوی خود، به‌واسطۀ مسیح به انجام رسانید. |
10 in view of that divine order which was to mark the completion of the ages, when he should make everything, both in heaven and on earth, centre in him.
| قصد خدا این بود که وقتی زمان معین فرا برسد، همه چیز را با هم تحت اقتدار مسیح درآوَرَد – همه چیز را خواه در آسمان و خواه بر زمین. |
11 In him, I say, for by our union with him we became God’s heritage, having from the first been destined for this in the intention of him who, in all that happens, is carrying out his own fixed purpose;
| همچنین، به دلیل پیوند و اتحادمان با مسیح، وارثان خدا گشته‌ایم، زیرا مطابق با طرح او که همه چیز را بر اساس قصدی که اراده کرده بود به انجام می‌رساند، از پیش برای این مقصود برگزیده شدیم. |
12 that we should enhance his glory – we who have been the first to rest our hopes on the Christ.
| مقصود خدا از این عمل این بود که ما یهودیان به عنوان نخستین کسانی که به مسیح ایمان آوردیم، او را برای لطفی که در حق ما نموده است، تمجید و ستایش کنیم. |
13 And you, too, by your union with him, after you had heard the message of the truth, the good news of your salvation – you believed in him and were sealed as his by receiving the holy Spirit, which he had promised.
| و شما غیریهودیان نیز پیام حقیقت یعنی خبر خوش نجات خود را شنیدید. و وقتی به مسیح ایمان آوردید، با روح‌القدس مُهر شدید تا مشخص شود که متعلق به مسیح هستید. خدا از زمانهای گذشته، وعده داده بود که روح‌القدس را عطا کند؛ |
14 And the Spirit is a pledge of our future heritage, foreshadowing the full redemption of God’s own people – to enhance his glory.
| و حضور روح‌القدس در ما، ضمانت می‌کند که خدا هر چه وعده داده است، به ما عطا خواهد فرمود. مهر روح خدا بر ما، نمایانگر این است که خدا ما را بازخرید کرده و ضمانت نموده است که ما را به حضور خود ببرد. این نیز دلیل دیگری است برای آن که خدای شکوهمند خود را سپاس گوییم! |
15 And therefore I, ever since I heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which prevails among you, and of your confidence in all Christ’s people,
| به همین دلیل، از زمانی که وصف ایمان شما را به عیسای خداوند و محبتتان را به همۀ ایمانداران او شنیدیم، |
16 have never omitted to thank God on your behalf, whenever I make mention of you in my prayers.
| دائماً برای وجود شما خدا را سپاس می‌گویم. همچنین، برای شما دعا می‌کنم و |
17 My prayer is that the God of Jesus Christ our Lord, the all-glorious Father, may inspire you with wisdom and true insight through a fuller knowledge of himself;
| درخواست می‌کنم که خدای خداوند ما، عیسی مسیح، آن پدر پرجلال، روح حکمت و کشف را در شناخت خود به شما عطا فرماید. |
18 that your minds may be so enlightened that you may realise the hope given by God’s call, the wealth of the glory of his heritage among Christ’s people,
| دعا می‌کنم که چشمان دلتان روشن شود تا بدانید او ما را برای چه امیدی دعوت کرده، امیدی که با اشتیاق تمام انتظارش را می‌کشیم. همچنین بدانید که ارثی که او برای مقدّسین تدارک دیده، چه غنی و شکوهمند است. |
19 and the transcendent greatness of the power which he is able to exercise in dealing with us who believe in him.
| همچنین، دعا می‌کنم تا درک کنید که قدرت خدا برای کمک به ما مؤمنین چقدر عظیم است. این همان قدرت پرتوانی است |
20 The same mighty power was exerted on the Christ, when he raised the Christ from the dead and “caused him to sit at his right hand” on high, exalting him above all angels and archangels of every rank,
| که خدا در مسیح به‌کار گرفت، آن زمان که او را پس از مرگ، برخیزانید و بر دست راست خود نشانید، در جایهای آسمانی، |
21 and above every name that can be named, whether in the present age, or in the age to come. (aiōn g165)
| در جایگاهی بس برتر از منزلتِ هر حاکمیت، اقتدار، قدرت، سلطنت، و هر صاحب‌منصبی در آسمان که مردمان به او متوسّل می‌گردند، چه در این عالَم و چه در عالَم آینده. (aiōn g165) |
22 And God placed all things under Christ’s feet, and gave him to the church as its supreme head;
| خدا همه چیز را زیر پاهای مسیح قرار داد، و او را مقرر فرمود تا بر همه چیز سَر باشد برای خیریت کلیسا، |
23 for the church is Christ’s body, and is filled by him who fills all things everywhere with his presence.
| کلیسایی که بدنِ اوست، همان کمال و پُری او که همه چیز را از هر لحاظ پُر می‌سازد. |
