2 Chronicles 15
1 And the spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
౧ఆ కాలంలో దేవుని ఆత్మ ఓదేదు కొడుకైన అజర్యా మీదికి వచ్చినపుడు అతడు ఆసా ముందుకు వెళ్లి ఈ విధంగా ప్రకటించాడు.
2 and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him he will forsake you.
౨“ఆసా, యూదా ప్రజలారా, బెన్యామీను ప్రజలారా, మీరంతా నా మాట వినండి. మీరు యెహోవా పక్షపు వారైతే ఆయన మీ పక్షాన ఉంటాడు. మీరు ఆయన దగ్గర విచారణ చేస్తే ఆయన మీకు ప్రత్యక్షమవుతాడు. మీరు ఆయన్ని విడిచిపెడితే, ఆయన మిమ్మల్ని విడిచిపెడతాడు.
3 Now for long seasons Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:
౩చాలా రోజులుగా నిజమైన దేవుడు గానీ ఉపదేశించే యాజకులు గానీ ధర్మశాస్త్రం గానీ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు లేకుండా పోయాయి.
4 But when in their distress they turned unto the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
౪అయితే తమ బాధల్లో వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా వైపు తిరిగి ఆయన్ని వెదకారు. ఆయన వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యాడు.
5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.
౫ఆ రోజుల్లో అన్ని దేశాల్లో నివాసముండే వారందరూ గొప్ప కలవరంలో ఉండేవారు. కాబట్టి తమ కార్యాలు చక్కబెట్టుకోడానికి అటూ ఇటూ తిరిగే వారికి శాంతి, సమాధానం లేకుండా ఉంది.
6 And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
౬దేవుడు మనుషులను అన్ని రకాల బాధలతో కష్టపెట్టాడు కాబట్టి రాజ్యం రాజ్యానికీ పట్టణం పట్టణానికీ వ్యతిరేకంగా లేచి ముక్కలు చెక్కలై పోయాయి.
7 But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack: for your work shall be rewarded.
౭అయితే మీరు బలహీనులు కాక ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకోండి, మీ కార్యం సఫలమవుతుంది.”
8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
౮ఒదేదు ప్రవక్త ప్రవచించిన ఈ మాటలు ఆసా విని, ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకుని యూదా బెన్యామీనీయుల దేశమంతటి నుండి, ఎఫ్రాయిము మన్యంలో తాను పట్టుకున్న పట్టాణాల్లో నుండి అసహ్యమైన విగ్రహాలన్నిటిని తీసివేసి, యెహోవా మంటపం ముందు ఉండే యెహోవా బలిపీఠం మళ్లీ కట్టించాడు.
9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
౯అతడు యూదా, బెన్యామీను వారందరినీ ఎఫ్రాయిము, మనష్షే, షిమ్యోను గోత్రాల్లో నుండి వారి మధ్య నివసిస్తున్న పరదేశులనూ సమకూర్చాడు. అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనికి సహాయం చేయడం చూసి ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిలో నుండి చాలా మంది ప్రజలు అతని పక్షం చేరారు.
10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
౧౦ఆసా పరిపాలనలో 15 వ సంవత్సరం మూడో నెలలో వారు యెరూషలేములో సమావేశమయ్యారు.
11 And they sacrificed unto the LORD in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
౧౧తాము తీసుకు వచ్చిన కొల్లసొమ్ములో నుండి ఆ రోజు 700 ఎద్దులను, 7,000 గొర్రెలను యెహోవాకు బలులుగా అర్పించారు.
12 And they entered into the covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
౧౨వారు తమ పూర్ణహృదయంతో, పూర్ణాత్మతో తమ పూర్వీకుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా దగ్గర విచారణ చేస్తామనీ,
13 and that whosoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
౧౩పిన్నలు, పెద్దలు, పురుషులు, స్త్రీలు, అందరిలో ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడు యెహోవా దగ్గర విచారణ చేయని వారికందరికీ మరణశిక్ష విధిస్తామనీ తీర్మానం చేసుకున్నారు.
14 And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice; and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
౧౪వారు పెద్దగా కేకలు వేస్తూ మేళాలతో, బాకా నాదంతో, కొమ్ము బూరశబ్దాలతో యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో ప్రమాణం చేశారు.
15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
౧౫ఈ విధంగా ప్రమాణం చేసుకోగా యూదావారంతా సంతోషించారు. వారు పూర్ణ హృదయంతో ప్రమాణం చేసి, పూర్ణమనస్సుతో ఆయనను వెతకడం వలన యెహోవా వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమై చుట్టూ ఉన్న దేశాలతో యుద్ధం లేకుండా వారికి శాంతినిచ్చాడు.
16 And also Maacah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
౧౬తన అవ్వ అయిన మయకా అసహ్యమైన ఒక దేవతా స్తంభాన్ని నిలిపినందుకు ఆమె పట్టపురాణిగా ఉండకుండాా ఆసా రాజు ఆమెను తొలగించి, ఆమె నిలిపిన విగ్రహాన్ని పడగొట్టి, చిన్నాభిన్నం చేసి కిద్రోను వాగు దగ్గర దాన్ని కాల్చివేశాడు.
17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
౧౭ఆసా ఉన్నత పూజా స్థలాలను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల్లో నుండి తీసివేయలేదు గానీ అతడు బ్రతికిన కాలమంతా అతని హృదయం యథార్థంగా ఉంది.
18 And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
౧౮అతడు తన తండ్రి, తాను ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వెండి, బంగారు ఉపకరణాలను తీసుకు వచ్చి దేవుని మందిరంలో ఉంచాడు.
19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
౧౯ఆసా పాలనలో 35 వ సంవత్సరం వరకూ ఎలాటి యుద్ధాలు జరగలేదు.
