Acts 2
1 And when the day of Pentecost was now come, they were all together in one place.
Y cuando hubo venido cumplidamente el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes en un mismo lugar.
2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Y de repente vino un estruendo del cielo como de un viento vehemente que venía con ímpetu, el cual hinchió toda la casa donde estaban sentados.
3 And there appeared unto them tongues parting asunder, like as of fire; and it sat upon each one of them.
Y les aparecieron lenguas repartidas como de fuego, y se asentó sobre cada uno de ellos.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Y fueron todos llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron a hablar en otras lenguas, como el Espíritu les daba que hablasen.
5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
(Moraban entonces en Jerusalem Judíos, varones religiosos de todas las naciones que están debajo del cielo.)
6 And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language.
Y hecho este estruendo, se juntó la multitud; y estaban confusos, porque cada uno les oía hablar su propia lengua.
7 And they were all amazed and marveled, saying, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Y estaban todos atónitos y maravillados, diciendo los unos a los otros: He aquí, ¿no son Galileos todos estos que hablan?
8 And how hear we, every man in our own language, wherein we were born?
¿Cómo, pues, los oímos nosotros hablar cada uno en su lengua en que somos nacidos?
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,
Partos, y Medos, y Elamitas, y los que habitamos en Mesopotamia, en Judea, y en Capadocia, en el Ponto, y en Asia,
10 in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
En Frigia, y en Pamfilia, en Egipto, y en las partes de Libia que están de la otra parte de Cirene, y extranjeros de Roma, Judíos, y prosélitos,
11 Cretans and Arabians, we do hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God.
Cretenses, y Árabes: los oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios.
12 And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Y estaban todos atónitos y en duda, diciendo los unos a los otros: ¿Qué quiere ser esto?
13 But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine.
Mas otros burlándose, decían: Estos están llenos de mosto.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, [saying], Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words.
Entonces Pedro poniéndose en pie con los once, alzó su voz, y les habló, diciendo: Varones de Judea, y todos los que habitáis en Jerusalem, esto os sea notorio, y prestád oídos a mis palabras;
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day;
Porque estos no están borrachos, como vosotros pensáis, siendo solamente la hora de tercia del día.
16 but this is that which hath been spoken by the prophet Joel;
Mas esto es lo que fue dicho por el profeta Joel:
17 And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:
Y será en los postreros días, (dice Dios, ) que derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne; y vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas profetizarán, y vuestros jóvenes verán visiones, y vuestros viejos soñarán sueños.
18 Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.
Y de cierto sobre mis siervos, y sobre mis criadas en aquellos días derramaré de mi Espíritu; y profetizarán.
19 And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, And signs on the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Y daré prodigios arriba en el cielo, y señales abajo en la tierra, sangre, y fuego, y vapor de humo.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the day of the Lord come, That great and notable [day]:
El sol se volverá en tinieblas, y la luna en sangre, antes que venga el día del Señor grande e ilustre.
21 And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Y acontecerá, que todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God unto you by mighty works and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know;
Varones Israelitas, oíd estas palabras: Jesús el Nazareno, varón aprobado de Dios entre vosotros en maravillas, y prodigios, y señales que Dios hizo por él en medio de vosotros, como también vosotros sabéis:
23 him, being delivered up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye by the hand of lawless men did crucify and slay:
A éste, entregado por determinado consejo y providencia de Dios, tomándo le vosotros, le matasteis por manos inicuas, crucificándole.
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
Al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte; por cuanto era imposible ser detenido de ella.
25 For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before my face; For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Porque David dice de él: Yo veía al Señor siempre delante de mí; porque le tengo a mi diestra, no seré movido:
26 Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope:
Por lo cual mi corazón se alegró, y mi lengua se regocijó, y aun mi carne descansará en esperanza:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
Que no dejarás mi alma en el infierno, ni permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.
Me hiciste conocer los caminos de la vida: henchirme has de gozo con tu presencia.
29 Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.
Varones y hermanos, se os puede libremente decir del patriarca David, que murió, y fue sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta el día de hoy.
30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set [one] upon his throne;
Así que siendo profeta, y sabiendo que con juramento le había Dios jurado, que del fruto de sus lomos en cuanto a la carne, le levantaría el Cristo, que se asentase sobre su trono:
31 he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left in Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
Viendo esto antes, habló de la resurrección del Cristo, que su alma no haya sido dejada en el infierno, ni su carne haya visto corrupción. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses.
A este Jesús resucitó Dios, de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos.
33 Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear.
Así que ensalzado por la diestra de Dios, y recibiendo del Padre la promesa del Espíritu Santo, ha derramado esto que vosotros ahora veis y oís.
34 For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Porque David no ha subido a los cielos; empero él dice: Dijo el Señor a mi Señor, asiéntate a mi diestra,
35 Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.
Hasta que ponga tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
Sepa pues certísimamente toda la casa de Israel, que a éste ha hecho Dios Señor y Cristo, a este Jesús que vosotros crucificasteis.
37 Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?
Y oídas estas cosas, fueron compungidos de corazón, y dijeron a Pedro, y a los otros apóstoles: Varones y hermanos, ¿qué haremos?
38 And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Entonces Pedro les dijo: Arrepentíos, y sed bautizados cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesu Cristo para remisión de los pecados; y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo.
39 For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
Porque a vosotros es hecha la promesa, y a vuestros hijos, y a todos los que están lejos: a cualesquiera que el Señor nuestro Dios llamare.
40 And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.
Y con otras muchas palabras testificaba, y los exhortaba, diciendo: Salváos de esta perversa generación.
41 They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added [unto them] in that day about three thousand souls.
Entonces los que recibieron con gusto su palabra fueron bautizados; y fueron añadidas a la iglesia aquel día como tres mil almas.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Y perseveraban en la doctrina de los apóstoles, y en la comunión, y en el rompimiento del pan, y en las oraciones.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
Y toda alma tenía temor; y muchas maravillas y señales eran hechas por los apóstoles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Y todos los que creían estaban juntos; y tenían todas las cosas comunes.
45 and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.
Y vendían las posesiones y las haciendas, y las repartían a todos, como cada uno había menester.
46 And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they did take their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
Y perseverando unánimes cada día en el templo, y rompiendo el pan en las casas, comían juntos con alegría y con sencillez de corazón,
47 praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were being saved.
Alabando a Dios, y teniendo favor cerca de todo el pueblo. Y el Señor añadía cada día a la iglesia los que habían de ser salvos.
