Proverbs 2

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and lay up my commandments with thee;

१माझ्या मुला, जर तू माझी वचने स्वीकारशील आणि माझ्या आज्ञा तुझ्याजवळ संग्रह करून ठेवशील,

2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

२ज्ञानाचे ऐकशील. आणि ज्ञानाकडे तुझे मन लावशील.

3 Yea, if thou cry after discernment, and lift up thy voice for understanding;

३जर तू विवेकासाठी आरोळी करशील, आणि तुझा आवाज त्यासाठी मोठ्याने उच्चारशील;

4 If thou seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures;

४जर तू रुप्याप्रमाणे त्याचा शोध घेशील, आणि जसे तू गुप्तधन मिळविण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो तसेच ज्ञानाचा शोध घेशील;

5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

५तर तुला परमेश्वराच्या भयाची जाणीव होईल, आणि देवाविषयीचे ज्ञान तुला सापडेल.

6 For the LORD giveth wisdom; out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding:

६कारण परमेश्वर ज्ञान देतो, त्याच्या मुखातून सुज्ञता आणि ज्ञान येतात.

7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright, [he is] a shield to them that walk in integrity;

७जे त्यास संतोषवितात त्यांना तो पूर्ण ज्ञान देतो, जे प्रामाणिकपणे चालतात त्यांना तो ढाल आहे,

8 That he may guard the paths of judgment, and preserve the way of his saints.

८तो न्यायाच्या मार्गाचे रक्षण करतो, आणि जे त्याच्याबरोबर विश्वसनीय आहेत त्याच्या मार्गात टिकून राहतील.

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgment, and equity, [yea], every good path.

९मग धर्म, निती व सात्विकता तुला समजेल, आणि प्रत्येक चांगला मार्ग कळेल.

10 For wisdom shall enter into thine heart, and knowledge shall be pleasant unto thy soul;

१०ज्ञान तुझ्या हृदयात प्रवेश करील, आणि तुझ्या आत्म्याला ज्ञान आनंदित करील.

11 Discretion shall watch over thee, understanding shall keep thee:

११दूरदर्शीपणा तुझ्यावर पहारा करील, आणि समंजसपणा तुला सांभाळेल.

12 To deliver thee from the way of evil, from the men that speak froward things;

१२ते तुला वाईट मार्गापासून सोडविल, कपटी गोष्टी बोलणाऱ्यापासून, सोडवायला तो तुला संभाळील,

13 Who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

१३ते चांगले मार्ग सोडून, अंधकाराच्या मार्गांनी चालत आहेत.

14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of evil;

१४जेव्हा ते दुष्कर्म करतात ते आनंदित होतात, आणि दुष्कर्माच्या विकृतीवरून ते उल्लासतात.

15 Who are crooked in their ways, and perverse in their paths:

१५ते वाकडे मार्ग अनुसरतात, आणि ते फसवणूक करून त्यांच्या वाटा लपवतात.

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

१६ज्ञान आणि दूरदर्शीपणा तुला अनितीमान स्त्रीपासून वाचवील, जी स्त्री धाडस करायला बघते आणि खुशामतीच्या शब्दांनी स्तुती करते.

17 Which forsaketh the friend of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God:

१७तिने आपला तरुणपणाचा सोबती सोडला आहे, आणि आपल्या देवाचा करार विसरली आहे.

18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead:

१८कारण तिचे घर मरणाकडे खाली वाकले आहे. आणि तिच्या वाटा तुला त्या कबरेत असलेल्याकडे घेऊन जातात.

19 None that go unto her return again, neither do they attain unto the paths of life:

१९जे सर्व कोणी तिच्याकडे जातात ते पुन्हा माघारी येत नाहीत. आणि त्यांना जीवनाचा मार्ग सापडत नाही.

20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

२०म्हणून तू चांगल्या लोकांच्या मार्गाने चालावे, व जे योग्य मार्गाने जातात त्याच्यामागे जावे.

21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

२१कारण योग्य करतात तेच देशात घर करतील, आणि जे प्रामाणिक आहेत तेच त्यामध्ये राहतील.

22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and they that deal treacherously shall be rooted out of it.

२२परंतु दुष्टांना त्यांच्या वतनातून छेदून टाकले जाईल, आणि जे विश्वासहीन त्यांना त्यांच्या वतनापासून दूर नेले जाईल.
