Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too wonderful for me.

ദാവീദിന്റെ ആരോഹണഗീതം. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നില്ല, എന്റെ കണ്ണ് അഹന്ത പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ മഹത്തായ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇടപെടുകയോ അപ്രാപ്യമായ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപൃതനാകുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, my soul is with me like a weaned child.

എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്നെത്തന്നെ സ്വസ്ഥവും ശാന്തവുമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, അമ്മയുടെ മടിയിൽ തൃപ്തിയടഞ്ഞ ഒരു ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ; അതേ, മുലകുടിച്ചുറങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് തൃപ്തിയടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

ഇസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശ യഹോവയിൽ അർപ്പിക്കുക— ഇന്നും എന്നെന്നേക്കും.
