Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the saints.

¡Alabado sea Yahvé! Canta a Yahvé una nueva canción, su alabanza en la asamblea de los santos.

2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Que Israel se regocije en el que los hizo. Que los hijos de Sión se alegren en su Rey.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

¡Que alaben su nombre en la danza! Que le canten alabanzas con pandereta y arpa.

4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Porque Yahvé se complace en su pueblo. Corona a los humildes con la salvación.

5 Let the saints exult in glory: let them sing for joy upon their beds.

Que los santos se regocijen en el honor. Que canten de alegría en sus camas.

6 [Let] the high praises of God [be] in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Que las altas alabanzas de Dios estén en sus bocas, y una espada de dos filos en la mano,

7 To execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples;

para ejecutar la venganza sobre las naciones, y castigos a los pueblos;

8 To bind their king’s with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

para atar a sus reyes con cadenas, y sus nobles con grilletes de hierro;

9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

para ejecutar en ellos la sentencia escrita. Todos sus santos tienen este honor. ¡Alabado sea Yah!
