Psalms 15

1 A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Ein Psalm Davids. HERR, wer wird wohnen in deiner Hütte? Wer wird bleiben auf deinem heiligen Berge?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh truth in his heart.

Wer in Unschuld wandelt und Gerechtigkeit übt und die Wahrheit redet von Herzen;

3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his friend, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

wer keine Verleumdungen herumträgt auf seiner Zunge, seinem Nächsten nichts Böses tut und seinen Nachbar nicht schmäht;

4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

wer den Verwerflichen verachtet, aber die ehrt, welche den HERRN fürchten; wer, auch wenn er sich selbst zum Schaden geschworen hat, es dennoch hält;

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

wer sein Geld nicht um Wucherzinsen gibt und keine Bestechung annimmt gegen den Unschuldigen. Wer solches tut, wird ewiglich nicht wanken!
