< Psalms 2 >

1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?
Adɛn enti na amanamanmufoɔ no bo afu? Adɛn enti na wɔsɛe mmerɛ yɛ nhyehyɛeɛ hunu yi?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
Asase so ahemfo sɔre gyina na atumfoɔ bom tu agyina tia Awurade ne Deɛ Wɔasra no no.
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Wɔka sɛ, “Momma yɛmmubu wɔn nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn na yɛnto wɔn mpokyerɛ ngu.”
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Deɛ ɔte adwa so wɔ soro no sere; Awurade di wɔn ho fɛw.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure:
Afei ɔka wɔn anim wɔ nʼabufuo mu hunahuna wɔn wɔ nʼabufuhyeɛ mu, ka sɛ,
6 Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
“Masi me Ɔhene wɔ Sion, me bepɔ kronkron no so.”
7 I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me, Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee.
Mɛpae mu aka Awurade ahyɛdeɛ: Ɔka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Woyɛ me Babarima; ɛnnɛ mayɛ wʼAgya.
8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Bisa me, na mede amanaman nyinaa bɛyɛ wʼagyapadeɛ, asase ano nyinaa bɛyɛ wo dea.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Wode dadeɛ ahempoma bɛdi wɔn so; na woabobɔ wɔn sɛ ɔnwomfoɔ ahina.”
10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Enti mo ahemfo, monsua nyansa; monkae kɔkɔbɔ yi, mo asase sodifoɔ.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Momfa suro nsom Awurade na monsɛpɛ mo ho ahopopoɔ mu.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Momfe Ɔba no ano, na ne bo amfu ansɛe mo wɔ mo akwan so, ɛfiri sɛ nʼabufuhyeɛ tumi sɔre ntɛm so. Nhyira ne wɔn a wɔdwane toa no nyinaa.
