Psalms 73
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, [even] to such as are pure in heart.
१आसाफाचे स्तोत्र खात्रीने देव इस्राएलास चांगला आहे, जे अंतःकरणाने शुद्ध आहेत.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
२पण माझ्यासाठी जसे माझे पाय बहुतेक निसटणार होते; माझे पाय बहुतेक माझ्या खालून निसटणार होते.
3 For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
३कारण जेव्हा मी दुष्टांचा भरभराट पाहिला तेव्हा मी गर्विष्ठांचा मत्सर केला.
4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
४कारण त्यांच्या मृत्यूपर्यंत त्यांना वेदना होत नाही, पण ते बलवान आणि चांगले पुष्ट असतात.
5 They are not in trouble as [other] men; neither are they plagued like [other] men.
५दुसऱ्या मनुष्याच्या भारापासून मुक्त असतात; ते दुसऱ्या मनुष्यासारखे जुलूमात नसतात.
6 Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; violence covereth them as a garment.
६अभिमानाने ते त्यांच्या गळ्याभोवती असलेल्या हाराप्रमाणे आपल्याला सुशोभित करतात; झग्यासारखा ते हिंसाचाराचे वस्र घालतात.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
७अंधत्वातून असे पाप बाहेर येते; वाईट विचार त्यांच्या अंतःकरणातून निघतात.
8 They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression: they speak loftily.
८ते माझी चेष्टा करून वाईट गोष्टी बोलतात; ते गर्वाने हिंसाचाराची धमकी देतात.
9 They have set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
९ते आकाशाविरूद्ध बोलतात, आणि त्यांची जीभ पृथ्वीतून भटकते.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full [cup] are wrung out by them.
१०म्हणून देवाचे लोक त्यांच्याकडे वळतात आणि त्यांच्या वचनातले पाणी भरपूर पितात.
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High?
११ते म्हणतात, “देवाला हे कसे माहित होणार? काय चालले आहे ते देवाला कसे कळते?”
12 Behold, these are the wicked; and, being alway at ease, they increase in riches.
१२पाहा हे लक्षात घ्या, हे लोक दुष्ट आहेत; ते नेहमी चिंतामुक्त असून धनवान झाले आहेत.
13 Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocency;
१३खचित मी आपले हृदय जपले, आणि आपले हात निरागसतेत धुतले हे व्यर्थ आहे.
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
१४कारण दिवसभर मी पीडला जातो आणि प्रत्येक सकाळी शिक्षा होते.
15 If I had said, I will speak thus; behold, I had dealt treacherously with the generation of thy children.
१५जर मी म्हणालो असतो की, मी या गोष्टी बोलेन, तर मी या पिढीच्या तुझ्या मुलांचा विश्वासघात केला असता.
16 When I thought how I might know this, it was too painful for me;
१६तरी या गोष्टी मी समजण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, पण त्या माझ्यासाठी खूप कठीण होत्या.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God, and considered their latter end.
१७मी देवाच्या पवित्रस्थानात गेलो, आणि नंतर त्यांच्या भवितव्याचा शेवट मला समजून आला.
18 Surely thou settest them in slippery places: thou castest them down to destruction.
१८खचित तू त्यांना निसरड्या जागी ठेवतो; त्यांना तू खाली नाशात पाडतोस.
19 How are they become a desolation in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
१९कसे अचानक ते उध्वस्त झाले. आणि भयानक दहशतीत ते संपूर्ण नष्ट झाले.
20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
२०जागा झालेल्या मनुष्यास जसे स्वप्न निरर्थक वाटते; तसे हे प्रभू, जेव्हा तू जागा होशील, तेव्हा त्यांचे ते स्वप्न तुच्छ मानशील.
21 For my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins:
२१कारण माझे हृदय दुःखीत झाले होते, आणि मी खोलवर घायाळ झालो.
22 So brutish was I, and ignorant; I was [as] a beast before thee.
२२मी अज्ञानी होतो आणि सूक्ष्मदृष्टीची उणीव होती; मी तुझ्यापुढे मूर्ख प्राण्यासारखा होतो.
23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand.
२३तरी मी तुझ्याबरोबर नेहमी आहे; तू माझा उजवा हात धरला आहे.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
२४तू आपल्या उपदेशाने मला मार्ग दाखवशील आणि त्यानंतर तू मला गौरवात स्वीकारशील.
25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
२५स्वर्गात तुझ्याशिवाय मला कोण आहे? पृथ्वीवर मला तुझ्याशिवाय कोणी प्रिय नाही?
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
२६माझा देह आणि माझे हृदय दुर्बल होत आहेत, पण देव सर्वकाळ माझ्या हृदयाचे सामर्थ्य आहे.
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
२७जे तुझ्यापासून दूर आहेत त्यांचा नाश होईल; जे तुझ्याशी अविश्वासू आहेत त्या सर्वांचा तू नाश करशील.
28 But it is good for me to draw near unto God: I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all thy works.
२८पण माझ्याविषयी म्हटले, तर देवाजवळ जाणे यामध्येच माझे कल्याण आहे. मी प्रभू परमेश्वरास आपले आश्रयस्थान केले आहे. मी तुझी सर्व कृत्ये जाहीर करीन.
