Deuteronomy 22
1 Thou shalt not see the ox of thy brother or his sheep, going astray, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, bring them back unto thy brother.
"Nicht sollst du mit ansehen, wie deines Bruders Rind oder Schaf irreläuft! Stiehl dich nicht davor beiseite! Du sollst sie deinem Bruder zurücktreiben!
2 And, if thy brother be not nigh unto thee or thou know him not, then shalt thou make room for it within thee own shed and it shall be with thee, until thy brother seek after it, when thou shalt return it unto him.
Wohnt dein Bruder nicht nahe bei dir oder ist er dir nicht bekannt, so nimm es in dein Haus und behalt's bei dir, bis es dein Bruder sucht! Dann gib es ihm zurück!
3 And, so, shalt thou do with his ass, and, so, shalt thou do with his mantle and, so, shalt thou do with any lost thing of thy brother’s, which shall go astray from him and thou shalt find, —thou mayest not turn away.
Ebenso sollst du mit seinem Esel tun, mit seinem Gewande und mit allem, was deinem Bruder abhanden gekommen und was du gefunden hast! Nicht darfst du dich davor beiseitestehlen.
4 Thou shalt not see the ass of thy brother or his ox fallen in the way, and turn away from them, —thou shalt, raise, them with him.
Siehst du deines Bruders Esel oder Rind auf dem Wege zusammenbrechen, so darfst du dich ihm nicht versagen. Du mußt sie ihm aufrichten.
5 A woman shall not have on the wearing apparel of a man, nor shall a man put on the mantle of a woman; for an abomination to Yahweh thy God, is any one who doeth these things.
Ein Weib soll keine Männertracht tragen! Ein Mann keine Weiberkleider anziehen! Wer solches tut, ist dem Herrn, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.
6 When a bird’s-nest chanceth to be before thee, —in the way, in any tree or upon the ground, whether with nestlings or eggs, and, the mother, be sitting upon the nestlings or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the mother upon the young;
Triffst du auf der Wanderung auf einem Baume oder am Boden ein Vogelnest mit Jungen oder Eiern, und sitzt die Mutter auf den Jungen oder Eiern, dann darfst du nicht die Mutter mitsamt den Jungen nehmen.
7 thou shalt, let go, the mother, and then, her young, mayest thou take for thyself, —that it may go well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
Die Mutter sollst du fliegen lassen, die Jungen aber kannst du dir nehmen, auf daß es dir wohlergehe und du lange lebest!
8 When thou buildest a new house, then shalt thou make a parapet to thy roof, so shalt thou not treasure up blood-guiltiness against thy house, for he that is in danger of falling might fall therefrom.
Baust du ein neues Haus, so mach deinem Dach ein Geländer, daß du nicht Blutschuld auf dein Haus ladest, wenn jemand herabfiele.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two sorts of seed, —lest the fulness of the seed which thou sowest, and the increase of thy vineyard be profaned.
In einen Weinberg sollst du nicht zweierlei pflanzen! Sonst wird der volle Ertrag, die Anlage, die du machst, und der Weinbergsertrag, etwas Geweihtes.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together,
Pflügen sollst du nicht mit Rind und Esel zusammen!
11 Thou shalt not put on linsey-woolsey, of wool and flax together.
Du sollst kein Zeug anlegen, Gewebe aus Wolle und Flachs!
12 Tassels, shalt thou make thee, —on the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou dost cover thyself.
Quasten sollst du dir an die Zipfel deines Mantels machen, in den du dich hüllst!
13 When a man taketh a wife, —and goeth in unto her and hateth her;
Führt jemand ein Weib heim und wohnt ihr bei, und spürt er Widerwillen gegen sie,
14 and raiseth against her occasions of speech, and bringeth upon her an evil name, and saith—This woman, I took, and approached her, and found not that she had the tokens of virginity,
tut ihr Unbill durch Worte an und bringt sie in üblen Ruf und sagt: 'Ich habe dieses Weib heimgeführt; dann nahte ich mich ihr. Ich habe sie aber nicht als Jungfrau erfunden',
15 then shall the father of the damsel and her mother take and bring forth the tokens of the virginity of the damsel, unto the elders of the city, in the gate;
da sollen des Mädchens Eltern die Zeichen der Jungfrauschaft des Mädchens nehmen und vor die Ältesten der Stadt zum Tor bringen!
16 and the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, —My daughter, gave I unto this man to wife and he hated her;
Der Vater des Mädchens sage zu den Ältesten: 'Ich habe meine Tochter diesem Manne zum Weibe gegeben, und da er Widerwillen gegen sie spürt,
17 and lo! he, hath raised occasions of speech, saying—I found not that thy daughter had the tokens of virginity and yet, these, are the tokens of the virginity of my daughter. And they shall spread out the garment before the elders of the city.
tut er ihr Unbill durch Worte an und sagt: "Ich habe deine Tochter nicht als Jungfrau erfunden", hier aber sind die Jungfernzeichen meiner Tochter!' Dann sollen sie das Bettuch vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten!
18 Then shall the elders of that city take the man, and chastise him;
Daraufhin sollen die Ältesten jener Stadt den Mann nehmen und ihn züchtigen!
19 and fine him a hundred [shekels] of silver and give unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought an evil name upon a virgin of Israel, and she shall remain his wife, he may not put her away, all his days.
Auch sollen sie ihn um hundert Silberlinge büßen und sie dem Vater des Mädchens geben! Denn er hat eine Jungfrau Israels in bösen Ruf gebracht. Sie soll sein Weib bleiben! Er kann sich im ganzen Leben nicht von ihr scheiden.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found with the damsel,
Ist aber solche Nachrede wahr und kann die Jungfrauschaft des Mädchens nicht erwiesen werden,
21 then shall they bring forth the damsel into the entrance of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die, because she hath wrought wickedness in Israel, by committing unchastity in her father’s house, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
dann führe man das Mädchen vor ihres Vaterhauses Tür, und die Leute aus ihrer Stadt sollen sie zu Tode steinigen! Denn sie hat eine Schandtat in Israel getan. Sie hat Unzucht getrieben in ihres Vaters Haus. So tilge das Böse aus deiner Mitte!
22 When a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then shall, both, of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of Israel.
Wird ein Mann bei einer verheirateten Frau liegend betroffen, so sollen beide sterben, der Mann, der dem Weibe beiwohnt, und das Weib! So tilge das Böse aus Israel!
23 When a damsel that is a virgin is betrothed to a husband, —and a man findeth her in the city, and lieth with her,
Trifft ein Mann eine verlobte Jungfrau innerhalb der Stadt und wohnt ihr bei,
24 then shall ye bring them, both, out unto the gate of that city, and stone them with stones that they die, the damsel, because she made not an outcry in the city, and the man because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife, —so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
so führt beide zum Tor jener Stadt und steinigt sie zu Tod, das Mädchen, weil es in der Stadt nicht geschrieen, und den Mann, weil er seines Nächsten Weib geschwächt hat! So tilge das Böse aus deiner Mitte!
25 But if in the field, the man find the betrothed damsel and the man force her and lie with her, then shall the man that lay with her die he alone;
Trifft aber der Mann die verlobte Jungfrau auf freiem Felde, und der Mann packt sie und wohnt ihr bei, so soll der Mann allein sterben, der ihr beigewohnt!
26 but, unto the damsel, shalt thou do nothing, the damsel, is not guilty of a sin worthy of death, for as when a man riseth up against his neighbour, and smiteth him so as to take away life, so, is this matter;
Dem Mädchen sollst du nichts tun! Am Mädchen haftet kein todeswürdiges Vergehen. Es ist so, wie wenn jemand seinen Nächsten überfällt und totschlägt.
27 for in the field, he found her, —the betrothed damsel, made an outcry, and there was none to save her.
Denn da er sie auf freiem Felde getroffen, kann die verlobte Jungfrau geschrieen haben; aber niemand ist ihr zu Hilfe gekommen.
28 When a man findeth a damsel that is a virgin who is not betrothed, and layeth hold of her and lieth with her, and they are found,
Trifft jemand eine unverlobte Jungfrau, ergreift sie, wohnt ihr bei, und er wird ausfindig gemacht,
29 then shall the man who lay with her give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, —and she shall be, his, wife, because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away, all his days.
So gebe der Mann, der ihr beigewohnt, dem Vater des Mädchens fünfzig Silberlinge! Sie aber soll sein Weib sein, weil er sie geschwächt hat! Sein ganzes Leben lang kann er sie nicht entlassen."
30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, —neither shall he turn aside his father’s coverlet.
"Niemand darf seines Vaters Weib heiraten, noch seines Vaters Laken aufheben.
