Numbers 32
1 Now, much cattle, had come into the possession of the sons of Reuben and of the sons of Gad, an exceeding mighty number. And when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, lo! the place, was a place for cattle.
А рувимците и гадците имаха твърде много добитък; и когато видяха Язирската земя и Галаадската земя, че, ето, мястото беше място за добитък,
2 So the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came in, —and spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of assembly, saying,
то гадците и рувимците дойдоха та говориха на Моисея, на свещеника Елеазара, и на първенците на обществото, казвайки:
3 As touching Ataroth and Dibon, and Jazer and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, —and Sebam and Nebo, and Beon-
Атарот, Девон, Язир, Нимра, Есевон, Елеала, Севама, Нево и Веон,
4 the land which Yahweh smote before the assembly of Israel, a land for cattle, it is, —and, thy servants, have cattle.
земята, която Господ порази пред Израилевото общество, е земя за добитък; а слугите ти имат добитък.
5 And they said—If we have found favour in thine eyes, let this land be given unto thy servants, for a possession, —do not take us over the Jordan.
За това, рекоха, ако сме придобили твоето благоволение, нека се даде тая земя на слугите ти имат добитък.
6 Then said Moses unto the sons of Gad and unto the sons of Reuben, —Shall, your brethren, go into the war, and ye, settle down here?
А Моисей рече на гадците и на рувимците: Да идат ли братята ви на бой, а вие тук да седите?
7 Wherefore, then, should ye dissuade the heart of the sons of Israel, from passing over into the land which Yahweh hath given to them?
Защо обезсърчавате сърцата на израилтяните, та да не преминат в земята която Господ им е дал?
8 Thus, did your fathers, —when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea, to view the land,
Така сториха бащите ви, когато ги изпратиха от Кадис-варни, за да видят земята;
9 and they went up as far as the ravine of Eschol, and viewed the land, and then dissuaded the heart of the sons of Israel from entering into the land, which Yahweh had given them.
отидоха до долината Есхол, и, като видяха земята, обезсърчиха сърцата на израилтяните, та да не възлязат в земята, която Господ им бе дал.
10 Then was the anger of Yahweh kindled on that day, —and he sware, saying:
И в оня ден гневът на Господа пламна, и той се закле казвайки:
11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt from twenty years old and upwards, shall see the soil, which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob, because they have not followed after me fully;
Ни един от ония мъже, които излязоха из Египет, от двадесет години и нагоре, няма да види земята, за която съм се клел на Авраама, Исаака и Якова, защото не Ме последваха напълно,
12 save Caleb son of Jephunneh, the Kenezite, and Joshua, son of Nun, —for they followed after Yahweh, fully.
освен Халева син на Ефония Кенезов и Исус Навиевият син, защото те напълно последваха Господа.
13 So the anger of Yahweh kindled upon Israel, and he made them wander in the desert, forty years, —until all the generation who had done the evil in the eyes of Yahweh, had wasted away!
Гневът на Господа пламна против Израиля, и той ги направи да се скитат из пустинята за четиридесет години, догде се довърши изцяло онова поколение, което беше сторило зло пред Господа.
14 Lo! therefore, ye have arisen in the room of your fathers, a brood of sinful men, —to heap up yet more upon the heat of the anger of Yahweh, towards Israel.
И, ето, вместо бащите си, издигнахте се вие, прибавка на грешни човеци, и ще разпалите повече пламъка на Господния гняв против Израиля.
15 If ye do turn away from following him, then will he yet again leave them behind in the desert, —so shall ye bring destruction upon all this people.
Защото, ако вие се отвърнете от Него, Той ще остави тях още еднъж в пустинята; и така вие ще станете причина да погинат всички тия люде.
16 Then came they near unto him, and said, Folds, for flocks, would we build for our cattle, here, —and cities for our little ones;
Но те пристъпиха при Моисея и рекоха: Ще съградим тука огради за добитъка си и градове за челядите си;
17 but, we, would arm ourselves promptly, before the sons of Israel, until that we have brought them into their place, —so should our little ones remain in the fortified cities, because of the inhabitants of the land.
а сами ние сме готови да вървим въоръжени пред израилтяните, догде ги заведем до мястото им; и челядите ни ще седят в укрепените градове в безопасност от местните жители.
18 We would not return unto our houses, —until the sons of Israel have possessed themselves each man, of his inheritance.
Няма да се върнем в домовете си догде израилтяните не наследят, всеки наследството си.
19 For we would not inherit with them, over the Jordan, and onwards, —because our inheritance hath come unto us on this side the Jordan towards sunrise.
Защото ние няма да наследим с тях отвъд Иордан и по-нататък, понеже нашето наследство ни се падна отсам Иордан на изток.
20 And Moses said unto them, If ye will indeed do this thing, —if ye will arm yourselves, before Yahweh, for the war;
Тогава Моисей им рече: Ако направите това, ако отидете въоръжени на бой пред Господа,
21 and every armed man of you pass over the Jordan before Yahweh, —until he hath dispossessed his enemies, from before him;
ако всички въоръжени преминете Иордан пред Господа, догде изгони Той враговете Си от пред Себе Си,
22 and the land be subdued before Yahweh then afterwards, shall ye return, and shall be acquitted by Yahweh and by Israel, —and this land shall be yours for a possession before Yahweh.
и земята се завладее пред Господа, а подир това се върнете, тогава ще бъдете невинни пред Господа и пред Израиля, и ще имате тая земя за притежание пред Господа.
23 But, if ye shall not do this, lo! ye will have sinned against Yahweh, —and take note of your sin, that it will find you out.
Но ако не направите така, ето, ще съгрешите пред Господа; и да знаете, че грехът ви ще ви намери.
24 Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your flocks, —and then that which hath gone forth from your mouth, ye shall do.
Съградете градове за челядите си и гради за овците си, и сторете това, което излезе из устата ви.
25 Then spake the sons of Gad, and the sons of Reuben unto Moses, saying, —thy servants, will do, as, my lord, is giving command.
И гадците и рувимците говориха на Моисея, казвайки: Слугите ти ще сторят, както господарят ни каза.
26 Our little ones, our wives, our cattle, and all our beasts, shall remain there in the cities of Gilead;
Децата ни, жените ни, стадата ни и всичкият ни добитък ще останат тук в галаадските градове;
27 and thy servants, will pass over every one armed for war, before Yahweh to battle, —as, my lord is speaking.
а слугите ти, всички въоръжени и опълчени, ще отидат пред Господа на бой, както господарят ни каза.
28 So Moses gave command concerning them, unto Eleazar the priest and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes, of the sons of Israel;
Тогава Моисей даде поръчка за тях на свещеника Елеазара, на Исуса Навина, и на началниците на бащините домове от племената на израилтяните.
29 and Moses said unto them—If the sons of Gad and the son of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every one armed for the war before Yahweh, and the land be subdued before you, then shall ye give unto them the land of Gilead, for a possession.
Моисей им рече: Ако гадците и рувимците преминат с вас Иордан, всички въоръжени за бой пред Господа, и се завладее земята пред вас, тогава ще им дадете Галаадската земя за притежание.
30 But, if they will not pass over armed, with you, then shall they accept a possession in your midst, in the land of Canaan.
Но ако не щат да преминат с вас въоръжени, тогава да вземат наследство между вас в Ханаанската земя.
31 Then responded the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, saying, —That which Yahweh had spoken unto thy servants, so, will we do.
И гадците и рувимците в отговор рекоха: Както рече Господ на слугите ти, така, ще сторим.
32 We, will pass over armed, before Yahweh into the land of Canaan, —then shall be ours, the possession of our inheritance across the Jordan.
Ние ще заминем въоръжени пред Господа в Ханаанската земя, за да притежаваме наследството си оттатък Иордан.
33 So then Moses gave unto them even unto the sons of Gad and unto the sons of Reuben and unto the half tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of sihon, king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og, the king of Bashan, the land by her cities with boundaries, even the cities of the land round about.
И тъй, Моисей им даде, то ест, на гадците, на рувимците и на половината от племето на Иосифовия син Манасия, царството на аморейския цар Сион и царството на васанския цар Ог, земята заедно с градовете в пределите й, градовете на околната земя.
34 And the sons of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, —and Aroer;
И гадците съградиха Девон, Атарот, Ароир,
35 and Atroth-shophan and Jazer, and Jogbehah;
Атротсофан, Язир, Иогвея,
36 and Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, —fortified cities and folds for flocks.
Ветнимра и Ветаран, укрепени градове и огради за овци.
37 And the sons of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, —and Kiriathaim,
А рувимците съградиха Есевон, Елеала, Кириатаим,
38 and Nebo and Baal-meon—their names being changed, and Sibmah, —and they gave names to the cities which they built.
Нево и Ваалмеон (с променени имена) и Севама; и преименува градовете, които съградиха.
39 Then went the sons of Machir son of Manasseh to Gilead, and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were therein,
И потомците на Манасиевия син Махир отидоха в Галаад, завладяха го и изпъдиха аморейците, които бяха в него.
40 So Moses gave Gilead unto Machir son of Manasseh, and he dwelt therein.
За това Моисей даде Галаад на Махира Манасиевия син, и той се засели в него.
41 And Jair, son of Manasseh, went, and captured their encampments, —and called them Havvoth-jair ["The encampments of Jair"].
А Манасиевият син Яир отиде та завладя градовете му и ги наименува Авот-Яир.
42 And, Nobah, went, and captured Kenath, with the villages thereof, —and called it Nobah, after his own name.
И Нова отиде та превзе Кенан и селата му и го наименува Нова по своето име.
