2 Chronicles 31

1 And just as finished all this they went out all Israel who were found to [the] cities of Judah and they broke the sacred pillars and they cut down the Asherah poles and they pulled down the high places and the altars from all Judah and Benjamin and in Ephraim and Manasseh until finished and they returned all [the] people of Israel each to possession his to cities their.

וככלות כל זאת יצאו כל ישראל הנמצאים לערי יהודה וישברו המצבות ויגדעו האשרים וינתצו את הבמות ואת המזבחת מכל יהודה ובנימן ובאפרים ומנשה עד לכלה וישובו כל בני ישראל איש לאחזתו לעריהם׃

2 And he appointed Hezekiah [the] divisions of the priests and the Levites on divisions their each - according to [the] mouth of service his to the priests and to the Levites for burnt offering and for peace offerings to serve and to give thanks and to praise in [the] gates of [the] camps of Yahweh.

ויעמד יחזקיהו את מחלקות הכהנים והלוים על מחלקותם איש כפי עבדתו לכהנים וללוים לעלה ולשלמים לשרת ולהדות ולהלל בשערי מחנות יהוה׃

3 And [the] portion of the king from own property his [was] for the burnt offerings for [the] burnt offerings of the morning and the evening and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths and for the new moons and for the appointed feasts according to [what] is written in [the] law of Yahweh.

ומנת המלך מן רכושו לעלות לעלות הבקר והערב והעלות לשבתות ולחדשים ולמעדים ככתוב בתורת יהוה׃

4 And he said to the people to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem to give [the] portion of the priests and the Levites so that they may be strong in [the] law of Yahweh.

ויאמר לעם ליושבי ירושלם לתת מנת הכהנים והלוים למען יחזקו בתורת יהוה׃

5 And just as spread the word they multiplied [the] people of Israel [the] first of grain new wine and fresh oil and honey and every produce of [the] field and [the] tithe of everything to abundance they brought.

וכפרץ הדבר הרבו בני ישראל ראשית דגן תירוש ויצהר ודבש וכל תבואת שדה ומעשר הכל לרב הביאו׃

6 And [the] people of Israel and Judah who dwelt in [the] cities of Judah also they a tithe of herd[s] and flock[s] and a tithe of holy things which were consecrated to Yahweh God their they brought and they made heaps heaps.

ובני ישראל ויהודה היושבים בערי יהודה גם הם מעשר בקר וצאן ומעשר קדשים המקדשים ליהוה אלהיהם הביאו ויתנו ערמות ערמות׃

7 In the month third they began the heaps to found and in the month seventh they finished.

בחדש השלשי החלו הערמות ליסוד ובחדש השביעי כלו׃

8 And they came Hezekiah and the officials and they saw the heaps and they blessed Yahweh and people his Israel.

ויבאו יחזקיהו והשרים ויראו את הערמות ויברכו את יהוה ואת עמו ישראל׃

9 And he enquired Hezekiah to the priests and the Levites on the heaps.

וידרש יחזקיהו על הכהנים והלוים על הערמות׃

10 And he said to him Azariah the priest the head of [the] house of Zadok and he said from when began the contribution to bring [the] house of Yahweh we have eaten and we have been satisfied and we have had more than enough to to abundance for Yahweh he has blessed people his and [what] remains the abundance this.

ויאמר אליו עזריהו הכהן הראש לבית צדוק ויאמר מהחל התרומה לביא בית יהוה אכול ושבוע והותר עד לרוב כי יהוה ברך את עמו והנותר את ההמון הזה׃

11 And he said Hezekiah to prepare rooms in [the] house of Yahweh and they prepared [them].

ויאמר יחזקיהו להכין לשכות בבית יהוה ויכינו׃

12 And they brought the contribution and the tithe and the holy things in faithfulness and [was] over them an officer (Konaniah *Qk) the Levite and Shimei brother his [was] second in command.

ויביאו את התרומה והמעשר והקדשים באמונה ועליהם נגיד כונניהו הלוי ושמעי אחיהו משנה׃

13 And Jehiel and Azaziah and Nahath and Asahel and Jerimoth and Jozabad and Eliel and Ismachiah and Mahath and Benaiah [were] overseers from [the] hand of (Konaniah *Qk) and Shimei brother his by [the] appointment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah [the] ruler of [the] house of God.

ויחיאל ועזזיהו ונחת ועשהאל וירימות ויוזבד ואליאל ויסמכיהו ומחת ובניהו פקידים מיד כונניהו ושמעי אחיו במפקד יחזקיהו המלך ועזריהו נגיד בית האלהים׃

14 And Kore [the] son of Imnah the Levite the gatekeeper to the east [was] over [the] freewill offerings of God to distribute [the] contribution of Yahweh and [the] holy things of the holy things.

וקורא בן ימנה הלוי השוער למזרחה על נדבות האלהים לתת תרומת יהוה וקדשי הקדשים׃

15 And [were] on hand his Eden and Miniamin and Jeshua and Shemaiah Amariah and Shecaniah in [the] cities of the priests in faithfulness to distribute to brothers their by divisions as the great as the small.

ועל ידו עדן ומנימן וישוע ושמעיהו אמריהו ושכניהו בערי הכהנים באמונה לתת לאחיהם במחלקות כגדול כקטן׃

16 Besides recording genealogy they to males from a son of three years and upwards to every [one who] went to [the] house of Yahweh for [the] matter of a day in day its for service their by duties their according to divisions their.

מלבד התיחשם לזכרים מבן שלוש שנים ולמעלה לכל הבא לבית יהוה לדבר יום ביומו לעבודתם במשמרותם כמחלקותיהם׃

17 And [the] genealogical enrolment of the priests to [the] house of ancestors their and the Levites from a son of twenty year[s] and upwards by duties their by divisions their.

ואת התיחש הכהנים לבית אבותיהם והלוים מבן עשרים שנה ולמעלה במשמרותיהם במחלקותיהם׃

18 And to genealogical enrolment with all little one[s] their wives their and sons their and daughters their to all [the] assembly for in faithfulness their they had consecrated themselves holiness.

ולהתיחש בכל טפם נשיהם ובניהם ובנותיהם לכל קהל כי באמונתם יתקדשו קדש׃

19 And to [the] descendants of Aaron the priests in [the] fields of [the] pasture land of cities their [were] in every city and a city men who they had been designated by names to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to all [the] genealogical enrolment among the Levites.

ולבני אהרן הכהנים בשדי מגרש עריהם בכל עיר ועיר אנשים אשר נקבו בשמות לתת מנות לכל זכר בכהנים ולכל התיחש בלוים׃

20 And he did like this Hezekiah in all Judah and he did the good and the right and faithfulness before Yahweh God his.

ויעש כזאת יחזקיהו בכל יהודה ויעש הטוב והישר והאמת לפני יהוה אלהיו׃

21 And in every work which he began - in [the] service of [the] house of God and in the law and in the commandment to seek God his with all heart his he did [it] and he succeeded.

ובכל מעשה אשר החל בעבודת בית האלהים ובתורה ובמצוה לדרש לאלהיו בכל לבבו עשה והצליח׃
