Habakkuk 2
1 At post my I will stand and I will take my stand on [the] fortification so I may watch to see what? will he speak by me and what? will I bring back on complaint my.
På min vaktpost vil jeg stå og stille mig på varden; og jeg vil skue ut for å se hvad han vil tale til mig, og hvad jeg skal få til svar på mitt klagemål.
2 And he answered me Yahweh and he said write down [the] vision and make [it] clear on the tablets so that he may run [one who] reads it.
Og Herren svarte mig og sa: Skriv synet op og skriv det tydelig på tavlene, så det kan leses med letthet!
3 For still [the] vision [is] for the appointed time and it will pant to the end and not it will lie if it will delay wait for it for surely it will come not it will delay.
For ennu må synet vente på sin tid; men det haster mot enden og lyver ikke. Om det dryger, så bi efter det! For komme skal det, det skal ikke utebli.
4 There! it is swollen not it is upright self his in him and [the] righteous by faithfulness his he will live.
Se, opblåst og uærlig er hans sjel i ham; men den rettferdige skal leve ved sin tro.
5 And also for wine [is] treacherous a man arrogant and [who] not he stays at home who he has made large like Sheol throat his and he [is] like death and not he is satisfied and he has gathered to himself all the nations and he has assembled to himself all the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
Så er og vinen troløs; en skrytende mann - han skal ikke bli boende i ro, han som har opspilt sitt grådige svelg likesom dødsriket; han er som døden og blir ikke mett, han har sanket til sig alle folk og samlet til sig alle folkeslag. (Sheol h7585)
6 ¿ Not these [nations] all of them on him a saying will they lift up and a mocking song riddles to him so may someone say? woe to! the [one who] increases [that which] not [belongs] to him until when? and [one who] makes heavy on himself pledge[s].
Skal ikke alle disse synge nidviser og spottesanger om ham, lage gåter om ham og si: Ve den som dynger op ting som ikke hører ham til - hvor lenge? - og som lesser på sig pantegods!
7 ¿ Not suddenly will they arise [those who] pay interest to you and may they awake? [those who will] make tremble you and you will become plunder for them.
Skal de ikke brått reise sig de som skal pine dig, og våkne op de som skal jage dig op, så du blir et rov for dem?
8 For you you have plundered nations many they will plunder you all [the] rest of [the] peoples from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
For du har plyndret mange folkeslag; således skal alle som blir igjen av folkene, plyndre dig for din blodskyld mot menneskene og for dine voldsverk mot jorden, mot staden og alle dem som bor i den.
9 Woe to! [one who] gains unjust gain evil for house his to set on the high places nest his to deliver himself from [the] hand of harm.
Ve den som jager efter skammelig vinning for sitt hus, for å bygge sitt rede i høiden, for å redde sig fra ulykkens hånd!
10 You have planned shame for house your by cutting off peoples many and [you have] sinned self your.
Du har lagt op råd som blir til skam for ditt hus, lagt op råd om å gjøre ende på mange folk og dermed syndet mot dig selv;
11 For a stone from [the] wall it will cry out and a rafter from [the] wood it will answer it.
for stenen i veggen skal skrike, og bjelken i treverket skal svare den.
12 Woe to! [one who] builds a city by blood and he establishes a town by injustice.
Ve den som bygger en by med blod og grunnlegger en stad med urett!
13 ¿ [is it] not There! from with Yahweh of hosts so they may labor peoples for [the] sufficiency of fire and nations for [the] sufficiency of vanity they grow weary.
Se, kommer det ikke fra Herren, hærskarenes Gud, at folkeslag skal arbeide sig trette for ilden, og folkeferd gjøre sig møie for intet?
14 For it will be filled the earth to know [the] glory of Yahweh like waters [which] they cover over [the] sea.
For jorden skal fylles med kunnskap om Herrens herlighet, likesom vannet som dekker havets bunn.
15 Woe to! [one who] makes drink neighbor his [you are] pouring out rage your and even you make [them] drunk so as to look on nakedness their.
Ve den som gir sin næste å drikke av sin brennende vredes skål, ja drikker dem drukne, for å se på deres blusel!
16 You are satisfied shame more than honor drink also you and be counted as uncircumcised it will come round to you [the] cup of [the] right [hand] of Yahweh and disgrace [will be] over honor your.
Du blir mettet med skam og ikke med ære; drikk også du og vis din forhud frem! Begeret i Herrens høire hånd skal i sin tid komme til dig, og dyp skam skal skjule din ære.
17 For [the] violence of Lebanon it will cover you and [the] devastation of animals it will terrify them from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
For ditt voldsverk mot Libanon og ødeleggelsen av dyrene, som skremte dem, skal komme over dig for din blodskyld mot menneskene og for dine voldsverk mot jorden, mot staden og alle dem som bor i den.
18 What? does it profit a carved image that he has carved it [one who] formed it a molten image and [one which] teaches falsehood for he relies [one who] formed form his on it to make idols dumb.
Hvad gagn gjør et utskåret billede, om enn en mester har skåret det? Eller hvad gagn gjør et støpt billede, en lærer i løgn, om enn dets mester satte sin lit til det da han gjorde målløse avguder?
19 Woe to! [one who] says to wood wake up! awake to a stone of silence it will it teach? there! it [is] sheathed gold and silver and any breath not [is] within it.
Ve den som sier til en stokk: Våkn op! - til en målløs sten: Stå op! Skulde den være lærer? Den er jo overtrukket med gull og sølv, og det finnes ikke ånd i den.
20 And Yahweh [is] in [the] temple of holiness his hush! from before him all the earth.
Men Herren er i sitt hellige tempel; vær stille for hans åsyn, all jorden!
