Jeremiah 11

1 The word which it came to Jeremiah from with Yahweh saying.

הדבר אשר היה אל ירמיהו מאת יהוה לאמר׃

2 Hear [the] words of the covenant this and you will speak them to everyone of Judah and to [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.

שמעו את דברי הברית הזאת ודברתם אל איש יהודה ועל ישבי ירושלם׃

3 And you will say to them thus he says Yahweh [the] God of Israel [is] cursed the person who not he will hear [the] words of the covenant this.

ואמרת אליהם כה אמר יהוה אלהי ישראל ארור האיש אשר לא ישמע את דברי הברית הזאת׃

4 Which I commanded ancestors your on [the] day brought out I them from [the] land of Egypt from [the] furnace of iron saying listen to voice my and you will do them according to all that I will command you and you will become for me a people and I I will become for you God.

אשר צויתי את אבותיכם ביום הוציאי אותם מארץ מצרים מכור הברזל לאמר שמעו בקולי ועשיתם אותם ככל אשר אצוה אתכם והייתם לי לעם ואנכי אהיה לכם לאלהים׃

5 So as to carry out the oath which I swore to ancestors your to give to them a land flowing of milk and honey like the day this and I answered and I said amen - O Yahweh.

למען הקים את השבועה אשר נשבעתי לאבותיכם לתת להם ארץ זבת חלב ודבש כיום הזה ואען ואמר אמן יהוה׃

6 And he said Yahweh to me proclaim all the words these in [the] cities of Judah and in [the] streets of Jerusalem saying hear [the] words of the covenant this and you will do them.

ויאמר יהוה אלי קרא את כל הדברים האלה בערי יהודה ובחצות ירושלם לאמר שמעו את דברי הברית הזאת ועשיתם אותם׃

7 For certainly I warned ancestors your on [the] day brought up I them from [the] land of Egypt and until the day this rising early and warning saying listen to voice my.

כי העד העדתי באבותיכם ביום העלותי אותם מארץ מצרים ועד היום הזה השכם והעד לאמר שמעו בקולי׃

8 And not they listened and not they inclined ear their and they walked everyone in [the] stubbornness of own heart their evil and I brought on them all [the] words of the covenant this which I commanded to do and not they did.

ולא שמעו ולא הטו את אזנם וילכו איש בשרירות לבם הרע ואביא עליהם את כל דברי הברית הזאת אשר צויתי לעשות ולא עשו׃

9 And he said Yahweh to me it has been found a conspiracy among everyone of Judah and among [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.

ויאמר יהוה אלי נמצא קשר באיש יהודה ובישבי ירושלם׃

10 They have returned to [the] iniquities of ancestors their former who they refused to hear words my and they they have walked after gods other to serve them they have broken [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah covenant my which I made with ancestors their.

שבו על עונת אבותם הראשנים אשר מאנו לשמוע את דברי והמה הלכו אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם הפרו בית ישראל ובית יהודה את בריתי אשר כרתי את אבותם׃

11 Therefore thus he says Yahweh here I [am] about to bring to them a calamity which not they will be able to go out from it and they will cry out to me and not I will listen to them.

לכן כה אמר יהוה הנני מביא אליהם רעה אשר לא יוכלו לצאת ממנה וזעקו אלי ולא אשמע אליהם׃

12 And they will go [the] cities of Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and they will cry out to the gods which they [are] making smoke to them and certainly not they will deliver them at [the] time of calamity their.

והלכו ערי יהודה וישבי ירושלם וזעקו אל האלהים אשר הם מקטרים להם והושע לא יושיעו להם בעת רעתם׃

13 For [the] number of cities your they are gods your O Judah and [the] number of [the] streets of Jerusalem you have made altars to the shameful thing altars to make smoke to Baal.

כי מספר עריך היו אלהיך יהודה ומספר חצות ירושלם שמתם מזבחות לבשת מזבחות לקטר לבעל׃

14 And you may not you pray for the people this and may not you lift up for them a cry of entreaty and a prayer for not I [will be] listening at [the] time call out they to me for calamity their.

ואתה אל תתפלל בעד העם הזה ואל תשא בעדם רנה ותפלה כי אינני שמע בעת קראם אלי בעד רעתם׃

15 What? to beloved [one] my in house my doing it plan the many [people] and flesh of holiness they will pass away from on you for wickedness your then you will rejoice.

מה לידידי בביתי עשותה המזמתה הרבים ובשר קדש יעברו מעליך כי רעתכי אז תעלזי׃

16 An olive tree luxuriant beautiful of fruit of form he called Yahweh name your to [the] sound of - a rainstorm great he has kindled a fire on it and they are bad branches its.

זית רענן יפה פרי תאר קרא יהוה שמך לקול המולה גדלה הצית אש עליה ורעו דליותיו׃

17 And Yahweh of hosts who planted you he has spoken on you evil on account of [the] evil of [the] house of Israel and [the] house of Judah which they have done for themselves to provoke to anger me by making smoke to Baal.

ויהוה צבאות הנוטע אותך דבר עליך רעה בגלל רעת בית ישראל ובית יהודה אשר עשו להם להכעסני לקטר לבעל׃

18 And Yahweh he made known to me and I knew! then you showed me deeds their.

ויהוה הודיעני ואדעה אז הראיתני מעלליהם׃

19 And I [had been] like a lamb a tame one [which] it is led to slaughter and not I knew that on me - they had planned plans let us destroy [the] tree with bread its and let us cut off him from [the] land of [the] living and name his not may it be remembered again.

ואני ככבש אלוף יובל לטבוח ולא ידעתי כי עלי חשבו מחשבות נשחיתה עץ בלחמו ונכרתנו מארץ חיים ושמו לא יזכר עוד׃

20 And O Yahweh of hosts [who] judges righteousness [who] tests kidneys and heart let me see vengeance your from them for to you I have made known case my.

ויהוה צבאות שפט צדק בחן כליות ולב אראה נקמתך מהם כי אליך גליתי את ריבי׃

21 Therefore thus he says Yahweh on [the] people of Anathoth who are seeking life your saying not you must prophesy in [the] name of Yahweh and not you will die by hand our.

לכן כה אמר יהוה על אנשי ענתות המבקשים את נפשך לאמר לא תנבא בשם יהוה ולא תמות בידנו׃

22 Therefore thus he says Yahweh of hosts here I [am] about to visit [judgment] on them the young men they will die by the sword sons their and daughters their they will die by famine.

לכן כה אמר יהוה צבאות הנני פקד עליהם הבחורים ימתו בחרב בניהם ובנותיהם ימתו ברעב׃

23 And a remnant not it will belong to them for I will bring calamity to [the] people of Anathoth [the] year of punishment their.

ושארית לא תהיה להם כי אביא רעה אל אנשי ענתות שנת פקדתם׃
