Amos 3

Ecoutez cette parole que Yahweh a prononcée sur vous, enfants d'Israël, " sur toute la famille que j'ai fait monter du pays d'Egypte ", — en ces termes:
2 except [obj] you to know from all family [the] land: planet upon so to reckon: punish upon you [obj] all iniquity: crime your
Je n'ai connu que vous seuls parmi toutes les familles de la terre; c'est pourquoi je vous punirai de toutes vos iniquités.
3 to go: walk two together lest if: surely no to appoint
Deux hommes marchent-ils ensemble, sans qu'ils se soient accordés?
4 to roar lion in/on/with wood and prey nothing to/for him to give: cry out lion voice his from habitation his lest if: until to capture
Le lion rugit-il dans la forêt, sans avoir une proie? Le lionceau fait-il retentir sa voix du fond de sa tanière, sans qu'il ait rien pris?
5 to fall: fall bird upon snare [the] land: country/planet and snare nothing to/for her to ascend: rise snare from [the] land: soil and to capture not to capture
Le passereau tombe-t-il dans le filet à terre, sans qu'il y ait un appât pour lui! Le filet se lève-t-il du sol, sans qu'il ait pris quelque chose?

Sonne-t-on de la trompette dans une ville, sans que le peuple s'épouvante? Arrive-t-il un malheur dans une ville, sans que Yahweh en soit l'auteur?
7 for not to make: do Lord YHWH/God word: thing that if: except if: except to reveal: reveal counsel his to(wards) servant/slave his [the] prophet
Car le Seigneur Yahweh ne fait rien sans qu'il ait révélé son secret à ses serviteurs, les prophètes.
8 lion to roar who? not to fear Lord YHWH/God to speak: speak who? not to prophesy
Le lion a rugi: qui ne craindrait? Le Seigneur Yahweh a parlé: qui ne prophétiserait?
9 to hear: proclaim upon citadel: fortress in/on/with Ashdod and upon citadel: fortress in/on/with land: country/planet Egypt and to say to gather upon mountain: mount Samaria and to see: see tumult many in/on/with midst her and oppression in/on/with entrails: among her
Faites entendre cette parole sur les palais dans Azot, et sur les palais dans la terre d'Egypte, et dites: Rassemblez-vous sur les montagnes de Samarie, et voyez quels nombreux désordres sont au milieu d'elle, et quelles violences dans son sein.

Et ils ne savent pas agir avec droiture, — oracle de Yahweh, eux qui entassent la violence et le pillage dans leurs palais.

C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Voici l'ennemi, il enserre le pays; il te dépouillera de ta force, et tes palais seront pillés.

Ainsi parle Yahweh: Comme le berger arrache de la gueule du lion deux jarrets ou un bout d'oreille, ainsi seront sauvés les enfants d'Israël, qui sont assis à Samarie, au coin d'un divan, sur des coussins de Damas.

Écoutez, et attestez ceci dans la maison de Jacob, — oracle du Seigneur Yahweh, le Dieu des armées:

Le jour où je vengerai sur lui les transgressions d'Israël, je vengerai aussi les autels de Béthel; les cornes de l'autel seront brisées, et elles tomberont à terre.
15 and to smite house: home [the] autumn upon house: home [the] summer and to perish house: home [the] tooth: ivory and to snatch house: home many utterance LORD
Je frapperai la maison d'hiver, avec la maison d'été; les maisons d'ivoire seront dévastées, et de nombreuses maisons seront détruites, — oracle de Yahweh.
