John 6
1 AFTER these Jeshu went over the Sea of Galila of Tiberios,
Potem Jezus przeprawił się na drugą stronę Jeziora Galilejskiego, zwanego też Jeziorem Tyberiadzkim.
2 and great multitudes went after him, because they had seen the signs which he wrought on the diseased.
Towarzyszyły Mu tłumy, bo ludzie widzieli, jak w cudowny sposób uzdrawiał chorych.
3 And Jeshu ascended a mountain, and there sat with his disciples.
Jezus wszedł na górę i usiadł tam ze swoimi uczniami.
4 Now the feast of the petscha of the Jihudoyee drew nigh.
A zbliżało się wtedy żydowskie święto Paschy.
5 And Jeshu lifted up his eyes, and saw the great assembly which had come to him; and he said to Philipos, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
Gdy Jezus rozejrzał się i zobaczył, nadchodzące ogromne tłumy ludzi, powiedział do Filipa: —Gdzie kupimy chleb, aby ci ludzie mogli coś zjeść?
6 But this he said trying him; for he knew what he was about to do.
Zapytał o to, aby wystawić go na próbę. Wiedział bowiem, co ma robić.
7 Philipos saith to him, Two hundred dinoreen of bread is not sufficient for them, that a little every one of them may take.
—Nawet fortuna nie wystarczyłaby, aby każdy mógł dostać chociaż kawałek chleba—odrzekł Filip.
8 Saith to him one of his disciples, Andreas, brother of Shemun Kipha,
Wtedy do rozmowy włączył się inny uczeń—Andrzej, brat Szymona Piotra:
9 There is here a certain youth, who hath with him five cakes of barley and two fishes; but these what are they for these all?

10 Jeshu saith to them, Make all the men recline; for there was much herbage in that place. And the men reclined, in number five thousand.

11 And Jeshu took the bread, and blessed, and divided unto those who reclined, and likewise also of the fishes, as much as they willed.
Jezus wziął chleby, podziękował za nie Bogu i polecił rozdać je siedzącym—każdemu tyle, ile chciał. To samo zrobił z rybami.
12 And when they were satisfied, he said to his disciples, Gather the fragments that abound, that nothing be lost;
Gdy już wszyscy się najedli, powiedział uczniom: —Pozbierajcie resztki, aby nic się nie zmarnowało.
13 and they gathered and filled twelve baskets of fragments, those which abounded unto them who had eaten of the five loaves of barley.
I z pięciu jęczmiennych chlebów zebrano aż dwanaście koszy resztek chleba!
14 But those men, when they had seen the sign which Jeshu had wrought, said, Truly this is the Prophet that cometh into the world.
Gdy ludzie uświadomili sobie, jakiego cudu dokonał Jezus, zaczęli wołać: —To na pewno jest ten prorok, który miał nadejść!
15 But when Jeshu knew that they were about to come to seize him and make him the King, he passed away to a mountain alone.
Lecz Jezus zorientował się, że chcą Go zabrać i obwołać królem. Dlatego samotnie oddalił się na górę.
16 AND when it was eventide, his disciples went down to the sea.
Wieczorem uczniowie zeszli na brzeg,
17 And they sat in a vessel, and went over for Kapher-nachum. And it was dark, and Jeshu had not come to them.
wsiedli do łodzi i popłynęli w kierunku Kafarnaum.
18 But the sea had risen against them, because a great wind blew.
Wkrótce zerwał się silny wiatr i jezioro bardzo się wzburzyło.
19 And they had led stadia twentyfive or thirty, and they saw Jeshu walking upon the sea, and drawing nigh to the vessel; and they feared.
Intensywnie wiosłując, przepłynęli jakieś pięć kilometrów. Nagle zobaczyli Jezusa idącego po wodzie i będącego już blisko łodzi. Przerazili się,
20 But Jeshu himself said to them, I am, fear not.
lecz On zawołał: —Nie bójcie się, to Ja!
21 And they willed to receive him into the vessel, and soon that vessel was at that land to which they were going.
Chcieli Go wziąć do łodzi, ale okazało się, że właśnie dobijają do brzegu—do miejsca, do którego płynęli.
22 The day after the people that stood on the opposite shore of the sea saw that there was not another vessel there except that into which the disciples had ascended, and that Jeshu had not entered with his disciples into the vessel;
Następnego dnia, tłum ludzi, zebrany na przeciwległym brzegu, zorientował się, że poza jedną łodzią, którą odpłynęli uczniowie, nie było innej. Wiedzieli też, że Jezus nie wsiadł do łodzi z uczniami, bo odpłynęli sami.
23 but there came other boats from Tiberios near the place, where they did eat bread when Jeshu had blessed.
Tymczasem na miejsce, w którym Jezus nakarmił ludzi chlebem, przypłynęły z Tyberiady inne łodzie.
24 And when that company saw that Jeshu was not there nor his disciples, they ascended into those boats, and came to Kapher-nachum. And they sought Jeshu;
Gdy ludzie zauważyli, że nie ma ani Jezusa, ani uczniów, wsiedli do łodzi i popłynęli do Kafarnaum, aby Go odnaleźć.
25 and when they had found him on the opposite side of the sea, they say to him, Raban, when camest thou hither?

26 Jeshu answered and said to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, You seek me, not because you considered the signs, but because you did eat the bread, and were satisfied.
—Zapewniam was, że szukacie Mnie nie dlatego, że ujrzeliście cud, lecz dlatego, że najedliście się do syta—odpowiedział Jezus.
27 Work not (for) the food which perisheth, but (for) the food that endureth unto the life that is eternal, which the Son of man shall give to you: for this hath the Father sealed, (even) Aloha. (aiōnios g166)
—Starajcie się jednak nie o ten nietrwały pokarm, ale o pokarm dający życie wieczne, który Ja, Syn Człowieczy, mogę wam zapewnić. Po to właśnie posłał Mnie Bóg Ojciec! (aiōnios g166)
28 They say to him, What shall we do that we may work the works of Aloha?
—A co mamy zrobić, żeby wypełnić wolę Boga?—pytali.
29 Jeshu answered and said to them, This is the work of Aloha, that you believe in Him whom he hath sent.
—Wolą Boga jest to, abyście wierzyli Temu, którego On posłał—odparł Jezus.
30 THEY say to him, What sign doest thou that we may see, and believe in thee? What performest thou?
—Jakiego cudu dokonasz więc, abyśmy mogli go zobaczyć i uwierzyć ci?
31 Our fathers manna did eat in the desert, as it is written, that bread from heaven be gave them to eat.
Nasi przodkowie codziennie jedli mannę na pustyni. Pismo mówi: „Dał im do jedzenia chleb z nieba”.
32 Jeshu saith to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, That Musha gave you not that bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven:
—Zapewniam was, że to nie Mojżesz dawał chleb z nieba—odrzekł Jezus—ale mój Ojciec daje wam teraz prawdziwy chleb z nieba.
33 for the bread of Aloha is He who hath descended from heaven, and giveth life to the world.

34 They say to him, Our Lord, at all time give us this bread.
—Panie, dawaj nam zawsze ten chleb—prosili Go.
35 Jeshu saith to them, I am the bread of life: he who cometh to me shall not hunger, and he who believeth in me shall not thirst, for ever.
—To Ja jestem chlebem życia!—odpowiedział Jezus. —Kto do Mnie przychodzi, nie będzie głodny. A kto wierzy Mi, nie zazna pragnienia.
36 But I have told you that you have seen me, and have not believed.
Ale nie pierwszy raz o tym mówię, a wy patrzycie na Mnie i nadal nie wierzycie.
37 Every one whom the Father hath given me, unto me will come; and him who unto me shall come, I will not cast out.
Jednak ci wszyscy, których dał Mi Ojciec, przyjdą do Mnie. A Ja nikogo z nich nie odtrącę.
38 I descended from heaven not to do mine own will, but the will of Him who sent me.
Przyszedłem bowiem z nieba nie po to, aby działać na własną rękę, lecz żeby wypełnić wolę Ojca, który Mnie posłał.
39 But this is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all whom he hath given me I shall lose not of him, but shall raise him at the last day.
On nie chce, abym kogoś stracił, ale pragnie, abym wszystkich ożywił w dniu ostatecznym.
40 For this is the will of my Father, that every one who seeth the Son and believeth on him, shall have the life that is eternal, and I will raise him at the last day. (aiōnios g166)

41 But the Jihudoyee murmured against him because he said, I am the bread which hath descended from heaven.

42 And they said, Is not this Jeshu bar Jauseph, he whose father and mother we know? and how saith this, From heaven I have descended?
—Przecież to tylko Jezus, syn Józefa!—wykrzykiwali. —Znamy jego ojca i matkę. Jak on może mówić: „Zstąpiłem z nieba?”.
43 Jeshu answered and said to them, Murmur not one with another.
—Dlaczego jesteście oburzeni?—zapytał Jezus.
44 No man can come to me unless the Father who sent me shall attract him, and I will raise him at the last day.
—Nikt nie może do Mnie przyjść, jeśli nie zostanie przyprowadzony przez Ojca, który Mnie posłał. Tych zaś, którzy przyjdą do Mnie, ożywię w dniu ostatecznym.
45 It is written in the prophet, that they shall be all taught of Aloha: every one, therefore, who hath heard from the Father and learned of him, cometh unto me.
W księgach proroków napisano przecież: „Oni wszyscy będą uczniami Boga”. Każdy więc, kto słuchał Ojca i uczył się od Niego, przyjdzie do Mnie.
46 There is no man who hath seen the Father, but he who is from Aloha, he hath seen the Father.
Nie znaczy to, że ktokolwiek widział Boga Ojca—oprócz Tego, który od Niego przyszedł.
47 AMEN, amen, I say to you, Whosoever believeth in me hath the life which is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Raz jeszcze zapewniam was: Kto wierzy, ma życie wieczne! (aiōnios g166)
48 I am the bread of life.
Ja jestem chlebem życia!
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the desert, and are dead:
Wasi przodkowie jedli wprawdzie mannę na pustyni, ale poumierali.
50 but this is the bread which hath descended from heaven, that man may eat of it, and die not.
Natomiast każdy, kto je ten chleb z nieba, nie umrze.
51 I am the bread of life that from heaven hath descended; and if man shall eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my body, which for the life of the world I give. (aiōn g165)
To Ja jestem chlebem życia, przysłanym z nieba. Kto się nim posili, będzie żyć na wieki. Chlebem tym jest moje ciało, które poświęcam, aby dać światu życie. (aiōn g165)
52 The Jihudoyee contended one with another, saying, How can this his body give to us to eat?
Wtedy słuchający Go zaczęli się między sobą sprzeczać: —Jak on może dać nam do jedzenia swoje ciało?
53 And Jeshu said to them, Amen, amen, I tell you, That unless you eat the body of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves.
—Zapewniam was: Jeżeli nie spożyjecie ciała i krwi Syna Człowieczego—odpowiedział Jezus—nie będziecie mieć w sobie życia.
54 He who eateth of my body, and drinketh of my blood, hath the life which is eternal, and I will raise him at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Kto spożywa moje ciało i krew, już ma życie wieczne, a Ja go ożywię w dniu ostatecznym. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my body is truly food, and my blood is truly drink.
Ciało moje to prawdziwy pokarm, a moja krew to prawdziwy napój.
56 He who eateth my body, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him.
Kto spożywa moje ciało i krew, jest trwale połączony ze Mną, a Ja—z nim.
57 As the Father the Living (one) who hath sent me, and I live by the Father, even so he who shall eat me, shall live, too, by me.
Ja żyję dzięki żyjącemu Ojcu, który Mnie posłał. Tak samo ten, kto się Mną karmi, będzie żyć dzięki Mnie.
58 This is the bread which hath descended from heaven. Not as was the manna that your fathers ate, and are dead; he who eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (aiōn g165)
To właśnie jest chleb z nieba—nie taki, jaki jedli wasi przodkowie i poumierali. Każdy, kto spożywa ten chleb, będzie żył wiecznie. (aiōn g165)
59 These things he spake in the synagogue, as he taught in Kapher-nachum.
Tego wszystkiego Jezus nauczał w synagodze w Kafarnaum.
60 And many of his disciples who heard said, A hard word is this: who can hear it?
Słysząc to, wielu Jego uczniów, mówiło: —To jest zbyt trudne! Któż jest w stanie to pojąć?
61 BUT Jeshu knew in himself that his disciples murmured concerning this; and he said to them, Does this stumble you?
Jezus wiedział, że im się to nie podoba. Spytał więc: —Jesteście zniechęceni tym?
62 If you shall see then the Son of man ascend up to the place where he was from the first?
Co w takim razie powiecie, gdy zobaczycie Mnie, Syna Człowieczego, wracającego tam, skąd przyszedłem?
63 It is the Spirit that maketh alive, the body profiteth nothing: the words which I have spoken to you, they are spirit and they are life.
Zrozumcie: to Duch daje życie—ludzkie wysiłki nie mają znaczenia. Słowa, które wam powiedziałem, pochodzą właśnie od Ducha i prowadzą do życia.
64 But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jeshu knew from the first who they were who believed not, and who it was who would betray him.
Ale niektórzy z was nadal Mi nie wierzą. Jezus od początku wiedział bowiem, kto Mu nie wierzy oraz kto Go zdradzi.
65 And he said to them, On account of this I told you that no man can come to me, unless it be given him of my Father.

66 On account of this word many of his disciples went back, and walked not with him.

67 Jeshu said to the twelve, Do you also will to go?
Wtedy On zwrócił się do Dwunastu: —Czy i wy chcecie odejść?
68 Shemun Kipha answered and said, My Lord, unto whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life; (aiōnios g166)
—Panie, a do kogo pójdziemy?—odpowiedział Szymon Piotr. —Twoje słowa prowadzą do życia wiecznego! (aiōnios g166)
69 and we believe and know that thou art the Meshicha, the Son of Aloha the Living.
Uwierzyliśmy Ci i wiemy, że jesteś Świętym Synem Boga.
70 Jeshu saith to them, Have I not chosen you twelve, and from you one is Satana?
—Wybrałem was Dwunastu—rzekł Jezus—ale jeden z was jest sługą diabła.
71 He spake concerning Jihuda bar Shemun Scarjuta; for he it was who would betray him, one from the twelve.
Mówiąc to, miał na myśli Judasza, syna Szymona z Kariotu. To on bowiem, jako należący do grona Dwunastu, miał Go później zdradzić.
